this_o point_n ought_v little_o to_o nourish_v the_o conceit_n of_o presume_v to_o offend_v god_n upon_o hope_n of_o impunity_n they_o that_o plead_v this_o and_o the_o like_a example_n of_o samson_n david_n solomon_n and_o other_o such_o do_v show_v that_o they_o sin_n with_o boldness_n and_o presumptuous_o bear_v themselves_o up_o in_o hope_n of_o forgiveness_n because_o those_o forementioned_a servant_n of_o god_n obtain_v it_o who_o sin_v not_o of_o presumption_n as_o these_o do_v who_o reason_n thus_o neither_o do_v they_o know_v therefore_o that_o they_o shall_v find_v the_o like_a mercy_n in_o their_o need_n for_o how_o monstrous_a and_o irregular_a a_o conclusion_n be_v it_o for_o he_o who_o the_o love_n of_o god_n shall_v keep_v from_o sin_v to_o presume_v to_o sin_n allure_v we_o but_o that_o one_o time_n or_o other_o he_o shall_v be_v constrain_v to_o yield_v or_o if_o he_o shall_v not_o how_o can_v he_o bear_v all_o the_o dislike_n frowning_n displeasure_n and_o hard_a handle_n with_o the_o which_o he_o shall_v be_v set_v upon_o and_o pursue_v and_o we_o see_v as_o much_o and_o theremedie_n be_v to_o refrain_v their_o company_n 5._o and_o near_a and_o this_o be_v say_v of_o the_o punishment_n now_o i_o have_v set_v down_o the_o word_n of_o god_n messenger_n whereby_o he_o object_n seek_v to_o turn_v the_o people_n from_o their_o sin_n unto_o such_o price_n then_o as_o it_o be_v now_o no_o mention_n be_v make_v of_o it_o or_o if_o it_o be_v that_o the_o people_n may_v be_v drive_v to_o desperation_n rather_o then_o bring_v to_o repentance_n be_v not_o encourage_v to_o believe_v the_o pardon_n of_o their_o sin_n as_o well_o as_o to_o forsake_v it_o to_o the_o which_o i_o answer_v first_o that_o they_o can_v not_o be_v move_v answ_n to_o repentance_n if_o they_o have_v not_o have_v with_o all_o encouragement_n &_o persuasion_n to_o believe_v for_o though_o he_o name_v not_o faith_n express_o yet_o see_v repentance_n and_o that_o can_v be_v separate_v neither_o can_v repentance_n therefore_o be_v urge_v upon_o they_o without_o it_o second_o i_o say_v this_o people_n do_v repent_v as_o it_o be_v clear_a by_o the_o text_n therefore_o they_o also_o believe_v and_o three_o the_o messenger_n repeat_v god_n promise_n to_o they_o what_o do_v he_o but_o find_v fault_n with_o they_o for_o not_o believe_v the_o same_o before_o i_o conclude_v therefore_o that_o he_o move_v they_o to_o believe_v which_o be_v the_o chief_a thing_n in_o our_o turn_n to_o god_n and_o so_o let_v all_o be_v persuade_v though_o it_o be_v not_o always_o express_v even_o as_o it_o be_v say_v to_o the_o jailor_n when_o he_o ask_v what_o he_o shall_v do_v to_o be_v save_v believe_v in_o the_o lord_n jesus_n and_o as_o without_o faith_n it_o or_o other_o as_o also_o for_o that_o they_o have_v have_v proof_n of_o his_o mighty_a uphold_v of_o they_o in_o a_o good_a course_n against_o all_o adversary_n power_n of_o the_o prince_n of_o darkness_n and_o his_o band_n in_o like_a manner_n this_o have_v harten_v they_o to_o duty_n not_o a_o little_a for_o that_o as_o they_o have_v see_v it_o always_o to_o go_v well_o with_o they_o while_o they_o fear_v the_o lord_n and_o depart_v from_o evil_a so_o they_o â—â—ue_v see_v the_o heavy_a hand_n of_o god_n to_o have_v be_v against_o other_o that_o note_n have_v pervert_v their_o felicity_n they_o have_v wanze_v away_o in_o his_o displeasure_n this_o solomon_n commend_v to_o we_o in_o his_o example_n who_o profess_v that_o it_o 17._o be_v his_o practice_n to_o behold_v and_o worship_v among_o they_o to_o this_o point_n the_o people_n of_o israel_n be_v now_o come_v that_o see_v they_o will_v not_o expel_v those_o idolatrous_a nation_n while_o they_o may_v neither_o continue_a to_o serve_v the_o lord_n as_o they_o ought_v to_o have_v do_v behold_v they_o themselves_o now_o depart_v from_o he_o also_o and_o fall_v to_o idolatry_n with_o they_o where_o beside_o that_o of_o paul_n rom._n 5._o 8._o if_o christ_n die_v for_o we_o be_v sinner_n much_o more_o be_v justify_v in_o his_o blood_n shall_v we_o be_v save_v from_o wrath_n and_o it_o serve_v as_o a_o precedent_n for_o god_n people_n in_o their_o doubt_n and_o temptation_n to_o rouse_v up_o themselves_o from_o deadly_a fear_n and_o to_o gather_v strength_n again_o to_o themselves_o by_o reason_n frame_v according_a to_o this_o of_o she_o and_o thus_o shall_v every_o afflict_a soul_n and_o conscience_n reason_n in_o time_n of_o his_o trouble_n and_o say_v to_o himself_o there_o be_v a_o time_n when_o i_o be_v out_o of_o covenant_n with_o god_n have_v no_o promise_n to_o ground_v my_o faith_n upon_o and_o want_v hope_n yet_o than_o the_o lord_n visit_v i_o in_o mercy_n open_v my_o eye_n to_o end_n he_o may_v show_v i_o more_o in_o time_n to_o come_v and_o finish_v his_o gracious_a work_n in_o i_o and_o thus_o i_o construe_v all_o his_o deal_n with_o i_o hitherto_o his_o enable_v i_o to_o doubt_v in_o like_a manner_n shall_v we_o find_v it_o further_o out_o of_o this_o second_o reason_n of_o she_o right_o understand_v we_o learn_v that_o although_o this_o be_v no_o good_a consequent_a god_n have_v send_v his_o word_n among_o we_o again_o and_o again_o therefore_o he_o will_v not_o destroy_v we_o but_o love_v we_o yet_o let_v we_o take_v it_o as_o it_o be_v both_o mean_v of_o she_o and_o practise_v of_o both_o she_o and_o her_o husband_n to_o wit_n that_o they_o receive_v the_o message_n at_o the_o mouth_n of_o the_o angel_n and_o believe_v his_o word_n be_v confirm_v doct._n well_o report_v of_o nor_o have_v be_v honest_a of_o behaviour_n yea_o and_o which_o be_v more_o this_o take_v hold_v of_o many_o of_o the_o better_a sort_n even_o of_o christian_n if_o they_o be_v hardly_o lay_v at_o by_o trial_n and_o provocation_n they_o too_o ready_o yield_v to_o do_v thing_n evil_a and_o unbeseeming_a they_o all_o which_o if_o they_o will_v not_o see_v and_o so_o amend_v and_o reform_v such_o dishonesty_n when_o it_o appear_v to_o man_n or_o secret_a falsehood_n though_o god_n only_o see_v it_o they_o sufficient_o bewray_v that_o god_n have_v no_o pleasure_n in_o they_o but_o if_o any_o break_v out_o in_o their_o life_n offensive_o and_o in_o such_o a_o wicked_a sort_n when_o they_o be_v not_o strong_o lay_v at_o and_o provoke_v to_o do_v so_o they_o do_v worse_o than_o these_o philistines_n who_o be_v sore_o provoke_v and_o near_o drive_v as_o we_o have_v hear_v the_o time_n draw_v near_o in_o which_o they_o must_v give_v the_o meaning_n of_o the_o riddle_n or_o else_o suffer_v inconvenience_n before_o they_o fall_v to_o subtlety_n and_o violence_n and_o yet_o even_o therein_o we_o see_v they_o disguise_v themselves_o gross_o and_o here_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v amiss_o to_o mark_v the_o wrangle_n and_o dishonest_a 2_o contending_n of_o these_o philistines_n when_o they_o see_v they_o must_v lose_v and_o what_o come_v of_o play_v for_o money_n or_o wager_v even_o in_o this_o our_o age_n whâ—re_v the_o user_n of_o they_o be_v of_o the_o same_o mould_n and_o nature_n with_o these_o philistines_n the_o same_o may_v be_v see_v among_o many_o other_o evil_n which_o i_o will_v not_o here_o set_v down_o these_o that_o be_v mention_v in_o this_o place_n to_o have_v be_v practise_v of_o they_o be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n companion_n with_o play_n and_o wager_v that_o be_v to_o say_v discontentment_n quarrel_v contention_n deny_v and_o break_v the_o covenant_n and_o seek_v to_o do_v this_o by_o force_n and_o by_o threaten_n as_o these_o here_o be_v not_o ashamed_a to_o require_v that_o samson_n shall_v tell_v his_o wife_n the_o meaning_n of_o the_o riddle_n that_o she_o may_v declare_v it_o to_o they_o which_o be_v as_o that_o be_v ground_v on_o they_o but_o the_o true_a and_o christian_n love_n be_v constant_a and_o bring_v forth_o much_o fruit_n and_o this_o be_v a_o point_n of_o such_o importance_n that_o the_o apostle_n include_v all_o the_o husband_n duty_n therein_o that_o he_o love_v his_o wife_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v where_o that_o be_v other_o good_a thing_n be_v not_o want_v for_o he_o be_v proud_a woman_n will_v thus_o upbraid_v her_o husband_n for_o not_o satisfy_v her_o demand_n touch_v costly_a attire_n or_o allowance_n of_o more_o money_n than_o his_o estate_n will_v admit_v so_o also_o if_o a_o jealous_a woman_n to_o justify_v her_o base_a and_o uncomely_a conceit_n and_o behaviour_n to_o her_o husband_n shall_v make_v her_o case_n good_a by_o allege_v that_o he_o be_v cheerful_a in_o other_o woman_n company_n though_o he_o do_v it_o with_o sobriety_n and_o wariness_n in_o all_o these_o case_n let_v the_o husband_n see_v that_o he_o be_v innocent_a and_o then_o beware_v how_o he_o prostitute_v or_o embodage_n himself_o to_o such_o of_o his_o wife_n passion_n lest_o by_o yield_v a_o little_a he_o lose_v his_o liberty_n but_o yet_o let_v it_o be_v do_v kind_o and_o peaceable_o anger_n and_o bitterness_n now_o further_o in_o that_o she_o charge_v he_o that_o he_o love_v she_o not_o because_o he_o 3._o tell_v she_o not_o of_o that_o secret_a that_o in_o no_o or_o this_o present_a life_n there_o be_v a_o free_a and_o ready_o communicate_v of_o all_o such_o thing_n betwixt_o they_o for_o the_o woman_n have_v a_o right_a therein_o as_o well_o as_o the_o man_n but_o see_v there_o be_v many_o thing_n of_o fecresie_n beside_o they_o which_o lie_v waighty_o upon_o the_o husband_n but_o do_v nothing_o concern_v the_o wife_n yea_o and_o dangerous_a to_o be_v tell_v forth_o and_o many_o woman_n weak_a to_o conceal_v they_o the_o husband_n in_o no_o wisdom_n may_v impart_v they_o unto_o she_o and_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v just_o charge_v with_o want_n of_o love_n but_o more_o of_o this_o in_o the_o next_o chapter_n god_n will_v save_o one_o samson_n withstand_v his_o wife_n at_o first_o by_o good_a reason_n namely_o distinct_o her_o importunate_a urge_v of_o he_o his_o impotency_n in_o be_v overcome_v of_o she_o and_o her_o tell_v the_o exposition_n of_o the_o riddle_n to_o the_o philistines_n she_o people_n
