final_o three_o seek_v and_o endeavour_v the_o protection_n and_o preservation_n of_o the_o thing_n it_o love_v as_o it_o on_o the_o other_o side_n shun_v and_o avoid_v aught_o that_o may_v endanger_v we_o be_v ignorant_a of_o he_o and_o ignoti_fw-la nulla_fw-la cupido_fw-la as_o it_o be_v say_v there_o be_v no_o love_n no_o long_a desire_n after_o that_o which_o we_o know_v not_o or_o know_v not_o the_o worth_n and_o necessity_n of_o it_o as_o a_o sick_a man_n have_v no_o thought_n after_o the_o sovereign_a drug_n in_o the_o apothecary_n shop_n because_o he_o be_v ignorant_a of_o any_o such_o matter_n whereas_o the_o skilful_a physician_n seek_v out_o and_o send_v for_o they_o and_o as_o a_o ordinary_a rustic_a care_v not_o for_o a_o precious_a pearl_n but_o cast_v it_o away_o when_o he_o find_v it_o which_o if_o a_o expert_a lapidary_n have_v it_o he_o will_v set_v much_o by_o it_o because_o he_o know_v the_o price_n and_o worth_n of_o it_o well_o enough_o and_o thence_o it_o be_v that_o when_o the_o prophet_n david_n have_v profess_v his_o love_n to_o god_n say_v i_o will_v love_v thou_o o_o lord_n my_o strength_n 1._o he_o afterward_o add_v as_o it_o be_v the_o reason_n or_o ground_n of_o that_o his_o love_n towards_o he_o because_o he_o bow_v the_o heaven_n and_o come_v down_o what_o be_v that_o why_o that_o he_o have_v make_v himself_o know_v unto_o he_o 9_o he_o have_v not_o but_o that_o we_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o he_o but_o that_o we_o know_v we_o be_v undo_v and_o damn_v without_o christ_n we_o shall_v never_o care_v so_o much_o for_o he_o for_o the_o whole_a have_v no_o need_n of_o the_o physician_n that_o be_v they_o care_v not_o for_o his_o skill_n nor_o his_o help_n but_o they_o that_o be_v sick_a they_o that_o know_v their_o own_o want_n and_o weakness_n they_o know_v how_o to_o value_v and_o esteem_v of_o he_o and_o so_o we_o when_o we_o see_v we_o be_v wound_v by_o sin_n and_o sick_a unto_o death_n then_o will_v we_o inquire_v and_o seek_v out_o for_o the_o spiritual_a physician_n of_o our_o soul_n christ_n jesus_n three_o we_o must_v humble_v ourselves_o before_o he_o confess_v our_o sin_n and_o that_o in_o particular_a as_o many_o as_o we_o can_v by_o the_o omission_n of_o such_o and_o such_o good_a duty_n and_o the_o commission_n of_o these_o and_o these_o sin_n especial_o we_o must_v confess_v our_o belove_a bosome-raigning_a sin_n so_o the_o prodigal_a son_n confess_v that_o he_o have_v sin_v especial_o against_o heaven_n and_o before_o his_o father_n by_o riotous_a live_n 19_o whereby_o he_o be_v unworthy_a to_o be_v call_v his_o son_n and_o do_v desire_v only_o to_o be_v as_o one_o of_o his_o hire_a servant_n and_o now_o when_o he_o see_v his_o father_n notwithstanding_o make_v he_o so_o welcome_a who_o have_v so_o mean_a a_o conceit_n of_o himself_o that_o he_o put_v a_o ring_n upon_o his_o finger_n and_o shoe_n on_o his_o foot_n etc._n etc._n then_o he_o love_v he_o much_o more_o have_v satisfy_v the_o divine_a wrath_n and_o justice_n of_o god_n for_o thou_o

and_o purge_v thou_o from_o the_o same_o so_o that_o still_o i_o say_v if_o thou_o will_v but_o love_v and_o believe_v in_o he_o he_o will_v love_v thou_o for_o notwithstanding_o all_o this_o he_o much_o then_o for_o the_o proof_n of_o the_o point_n before_o propound_v now_o for_o the_o application_n of_o it_o to_o ourselves_o that_o so_o we_o may_v the_o better_o make_v some_o use_n of_o it_o for_o the_o direction_n and_o reformation_n of_o our_o life_n and_o conversation_n therein_o if_o it_o be_v so_o as_o so_o you_o have_v hear_v it_o be_v that_o it_o be_v such_o a_o sin_n not_o to_o with_o our_o will_n which_o it_o incline_v thereunto_o now_o if_o we_o do_v not_o find_v these_o thing_n in_o we_o we_o do_v not_o love_v the_o etc._n etc._n and_o therefore_o this_o doctrine_n that_o he_o that_o love_v he_o not_o be_v &c._n &c._n it_o shall_v teach_v we_o to_o consider_v our_o own_o condition_n how_o we_o stand_v affect_v towards_o he_o and_o whether_o we_o love_v he_o or_o not_o and_o we_o shall_v know_v it_o for_o certain_a whether_o we_o do_v or_o do_v not_o by_o examine_v ourselves_o by_o these_o query_n first_o whether_o whatsoever_o good_a thing_n we_o have_v do_v we_o have_v do_v they_o out_o of_o love_n to_o god_n and_o desire_v of_o his_o glory_n more_o than_o of_o our_o own_o profit_n or_o out_o of_o custom_n for_o otherwise_o all_o that_o we_o do_v be_v for_o his_o sake_n as_o thy_o live_n thy_o lust_n thy_o life_n for_o he_o that_o love_v any_o thing_n true_o will_v forgo_v and_o give_v all_o he_o have_v to_o purchase_v it_o six_o look_v whether_o thou_o seek_v to_o do_v the_o lord_n will_v and_o what_o may_v please_v he_o best_o for_o love_n seek_v not_o her_o own_o we_o see_v it_o in_o man_n who_o will_v take_v any_o pain_n be_v at_o any_o cost_n to_o get_v that_o thing_n for_o they_o who_o they_o love_v which_o they_o love_v to_o have_v and_o so_o will_v we_o do_v for_o christ_n if_o we_o love_v he_o we_o will_v keep_v his_o commandment_n and_o they_o will_v not_o be_v grievous_a unto_o we_o yea_o rather_o it_o will_v be_v our_o meat_n and_o drink_v to_o do_v his_o will_n and_o the_o dear_a it_o cost_v we_o the_o dear_a will_v it_o be_v unto_o we_o seven_o examine_v thyself_o by_o this_o rule_n also_o whether_o thou_o be_v content_a to_o do_v much_o for_o he_o not_o some_o thing_n and_o not_o othersome_a but_o whether_o thou_o have_v a_o eye_n to_o all_o his_o commandment_n and_o all_o false_a way_n thou_o utter_o abhor_v for_o faith_n you_o know_v work_v by_o love_n and_o love_n that_o proceed_v from_o faith_n be_v not_o idle_a but_o operative_a so_o that_o what_o be_v speak_v of_o faith_n may_v as_o true_o be_v say_v of_o love_n that_o its_o dead_a without_o work_n and_o therefore_o saint_n paul_n profess_v of_o himself_o that_o he_o labour_v more_o than_o
