satisfy_v to_o clear_v the_o point_n that_o we_o be_v very_o subject_a to_o misplace_v our_o grief_n and_o to_o mistake_v the_o ground_n and_o object_n of_o our_o sorrow_n and_o there_o be_v two_o especial_a cause_n of_o it_o viz._n either_o because_o our_o understanding_n be_v 〈◊〉_d or_o our_o affection_n be_v mislay_v reas._n 1_o sometime_o we_o be_v very_o subject_a to_o misplace_v our_o grief_n because_o our_o understanding_n be_v mislead_v we_o do_v not_o judge_n aright_o of_o that_o which_o be_v indeed_o the_o only_a or_o the_o great_a cause_n of_o trouble_n some_o apprehend_v their_o tear_n be_v fit_a to_o be_v spend_v on_o their_o affliction_n than_o their_o sin_n they_o see_v no_o great_a hurt_n in_o sin_n but_o they_o feel_v much_o in_o affliction_n affliction_n be_v a_o grievous_a thing_n to_o they_o but_o corruption_n be_v not_o so_o there_o be_v a_o principle_n in_o nature_n which_o make_v a_o man_n averse_a from_o penal_a evil_n but_o there_o be_v none_o at_o all_o that_o make_v he_o averse_a from_o sinful_a evil_n so_o that_o a_o man_n need_v nothing_o else_o but_o nature_n to_o make_v he_o sensible_a of_o penal_a evil_n of_o affliction_n but_o he_o need_v more_o than_o nature_n to_o make_v he_o sensible_a of_o sin_n and_o hence_o it_o be_v because_o the_o great_a part_n of_o man_n have_v nothing_o else_o but_o nature_n in_o they_o that_o they_o be_v so_o exceed_o affect_v with_o the_o one_o and_o so_o regardless_o of_o the_o other_o now_o these_o affection_n follow_v apprehension_n as_o they_o always_o do_v they_o be_v mistake_v in_o their_o judgement_n and_o so_o they_o misapply_v their_o passion_n they_o look_v upon_o their_o sin_n as_o small_a matter_n but_o they_o amplify_v their_o trouble_n and_o affliction_n as_o he_o in_o the_o poet_n i_o be_o ten_o time_n twenty_o time_n a_o hundred_o time_n miserable_a and_o hence_o they_o weep_v for_o their_o affliction_n and_o will_v not_o be_v comfort_v while_o they_o have_v not_o a_o tear_n to_o spend_v upon_o their_o sin_n and_o this_o in_o probability_n be_v israel_n case_n jer._n 30._o 15._o they_o be_v extreme_o trouble_v at_o the_o misery_n that_o be_v upon_o they_o but_o they_o be_v little_o trouble_v at_o their_o sin_n they_o cry_v because_o of_o their_o affliction_n they_o do_v not_o only_o sigh_v and_o mourn_v and_o grieve_v and_o weep_v but_o more_o than_o so_o they_o cry_v aloud_o which_o show_v extremity_n of_o sorrow_n but_o we_o hear_v nothing_o of_o any_o sorrow_n for_o their_o sin_n and_o therefore_o god_n come_v in_o and_o interrupt_v they_o why_o strong_a of_o the_o passion_n and_o affection_n and_o therefore_o all_o the_o rest_n yield_v to_o it_o and_o be_v great_o sway_v by_o it_o and_o by_o this_o mean_v it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o if_o we_o misplace_v our_o love_n we_o be_v in_o danger_n to_o misplace_v our_o sorrow_n for_o we_o shall_v sure_o grieve_v for_o that_o most_o which_o we_o love_v best_a whether_o it_o be_v best_o or_o or_o the_o change_n of_o that_o which_o they_o have_v set_v their_o heart_n too_o much_o upon_o their_o grief_n be_v answerable_a to_o their_o love_n strong_a affection_n especial_o when_o they_o miscarry_v in_o the_o object_n of_o they_o do_v cast_v man_n into_o strong_a affliction_n oh_o how_o be_v david_n overcome_v with_o the_o death_n of_o absalon_n though_o yet_o indeed_o the_o cut_n let_v i_o tell_v you_o some_o of_o you_o have_v backslide_v grievous_o and_o sensible_o abate_v of_o your_o former_a zeal_n and_o holiness_n and_o strictness_n in_o the_o way_n of_o god_n yea_o sin_v fruit_n be_v to_o bear_v their_o just_a reproof_n and_o to_o be_v amend_v by_o they_o to_o hear_v and_o obey_v they_o in_o their_o regular_a direction_n to_o follow_v all_o their_o good_a example_n for_o the_o minister_n of_o christ_n be_v sampler_n to_o the_o flock_n and_o sampler_n must_v be_v wrought_v after_o and_o in_o a_o word_n to_o bring_v they_o in_o the_o return_n of_o all_o their_o labour_n in_o holiness_n and_o holy_a walk_n that_o they_o may_v see_v the_o travel_n of_o their_o soul_n and_o be_v satisfy_v nothing_o but_o this_o will_v satisfy_v they_o and_o make_v they_o do_v have_v you_o all_o do_v this_o be_v there_o no_o secret_a stitch_n at_o the_o heart_n of_o any_o of_o you_o upon_o this_o consideration_n he_o spend_v his_o strength_n indeed_o among_o you_o he_o
