diminish_v in_o he_o as_o much_o as_o the_o one_o increase_v so_o much_o the_o other_o of_o necessity_n must_v decrease_v o_o lord_n who_o have_v manifest_v thy_o love_n so_o rich_o towards_o i_o fill_v my_o heart_n daily_o more_o and_o more_o with_o the_o love_n of_o thy_o majesty_n let_v the_o same_o whole_o possess_v i_o for_o this_o end_n suffer_v i_o not_o to_o be_v entangle_v at_o any_o time_n with_o the_o inordinate_a desire_n of_o any_o of_o these_o fade_a and_o fruitless_a vanity_n but_o free_v i_o i_o beseech_v thou_o from_o the_o sinful_a and_o immoderate_a affect_v thereof_o yea_o purge_v my_o heart_n and_o banish_v far_o from_o i_o the_o love_n of_o all_o those_o thing_n which_o may_v be_v a_o mean_n in_o any_o sort_n to_o alienate_v my_o mind_n from_o thou_o and_o grant_v that_o my_o soul_n may_v delight_v in_o thou_o and_o that_o i_o may_v love_v thou_o with_o my_o whole_a heart_n yea_o that_o the_o affection_n of_o my_o love_n may_v be_v set_v and_o fix_v glory_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n o_o lord_n though_o other_o be_v wilful_o blind_a and_o so_o most_o miserable_a while_o they_o see_v it_o not_o yet_o open_v thou_o my_o eye_n ever_o more_o and_o more_o suffer_v not_o sin_n with_o the_o deceitfulnes_n thereof_o to_o draw_v any_o film_n over_o they_o but_o give_v i_o daily_o a_o clear_a sight_n of_o my_o own_o misery_n and_o of_o thy_o and_o body_n into_o hell_n for_o ever_o there_o to_o have_v their_o portion_n among_o the_o damn_a either_o man_n be_v atheist_n and_o think_v there_o be_v no_o god_n for_o they_o that_o believe_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n can_v not_o but_o know_v that_o his_o power_n be_v infinite_a and_o therefore_o must_v needs_o fear_v he_o more_o than_o any_o man_n who_o power_n be_v but_o finite_a when_o it_o be_v great_a or_o else_o they_o be_v marvelous_a desperate_a who_o though_o they_o know_v and_o will_v acknowledge_v the_o power_n and_o the_o fierceness_n of_o his_o wrath_n yet_o fear_v not_o the_o punishment_n and_o the_o horrible_a torment_n which_o he_o have_v threaten_v against_o they_o o_o lord_n let_v i_o not_o be_v either_o so_o blind_v or_o so_o hard-hearted_a as_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a be_v let_v i_o always_o fear_v before_o thou_o and_o tremble_v at_o thy_o presence_n stand_v continual_o in_o awe_n of_o so_o great_a and_o glorious_a a_o majesty_n which_o the_o angel_n adore_v and_o reverence_n and_o let_v this_o fear_n of_o thou_o and_o thy_o righteous_a judgement_n banish_v and_o drive_v out_o of_o my_o heart_n the_o love_n of_o all_o sin_n so_o must_v end_v with_o prayer_n use_v both_o these_o duty_n as_o thou_o shall_v have_v occasion_n as_o if_o thy_o heart_n be_v well_o order_v and_o right_o affect_v as_o it_o ought_v thou_o can_v exercise_n which_o thou_o have_v prescribe_v in_o thy_o word_n that_o so_o my_o soul_n may_v live_v for_o ever_o 2_o worldly_a care_n the_o care_n of_o this_o world_n and_o the_o desire_n of_o these_o earthly_a vanity_n oh_o what_o snare_n they_o be_v to_o the_o soul_n and_o to_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n how_o many_o be_v take_v in_o they_o and_o so_o bring_v into_o a_o kind_n of_o thraldom_n &_o bondage_n what_o encumbrance_n be_v they_o unto_o they_o in_o the_o performance_n of_o good_a action_n how_o do_v they_o cool_v yea_o quench_v the_o holy_a motion_n the_o godly_a desire_n and_o purpose_n of_o the_o heart_n and_o hinder_v it_o from_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a meditation_n which_o otherwise_o it_o will_v relish_v far_o better_o and_o find_v much_o more_o sweetness_n and_o the_o excessive_a and_o unlawful_a desire_n and_o affection_n of_o all_o vain_a and_o transitory_a thing_n let_v i_o not_o be_v ensnare_v and_o entangle_v with_o they_o as_o other_o be_v let_v they_o not_o be_v any_o let_v or_o hindrance_n unto_o my_o soul_n to_o withdraw_v it_o from_o the_o more_o serious_a meditation_n of_o spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a thing_n or_o in_o any_o sort_n to_o cool_v my_o affection_n towards_o they_o or_o to_o cause_v i_o to_o take_v the_o less_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n in_o they_o or_o to_o be_v the_o more_o unfit_a to_o be_v conversant_a about_o they_o let_v they_o not_o so_o oppress_v my_o mind_n that_o i_o shall_v find_v less_o liberty_n and_o freedom_n of_o spirit_n in_o good_a thing_n or_o become_v more_o unapt_a for_o the_o performance_n of_o any_o duty_n of_o thy_o worship_n and_o service_n any_o holy_a or_o religious_a exercise_n which_o thou_o require_v of_o i_o but_o grant_v i_o beseech_v thou_o that_o see_v how_o deceitful_a this_o world_n be_v how_o vain_a all_o thing_n here_o below_o be_v i_o may_v daily_o be_v more_o and_o more_o wean_v from_o the_o love_n and_o desire_v of_o they_o yea_o may_v have_v thy_o love_n so_o shed_v into_o my_o heart_n that_o all_o my_o delight_n may_v be_v in_o thou_o all_o my_o affection_n set_v upon_o thou_o in_o such_o sort_n that_o all_o carnal_a and_o earthly_a thing_n which_o will_v withdraw_v continue_v in_o the_o lord_n and_o to_o walk_v in_o the_o way_n which_o he_o have_v command_v yea_o no_o soon_o shall_v the_o good_a spirit_n inspire_v into_o they_o any_o good_a motion_n any_o holy_a desire_n but_o that_o wicked_a and_o envious_a one_o stand_v ready_a at_o hand_n will_v labour_v present_o to_o strangle_v they_o so_o that_o they_o shall_v never_o come_v to_o any_o effect_n but_o vanish_v away_o and_o leave_v the_o heart_n more_o hearden_v and_o less_o capable_a of_o goodness_n and_o of_o any_o spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a grace_n than_o ever_o it_o be_v before_o oh_o how_o close_o and_o how_o sly_o do_v he_o insinuate_v himself_o into_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n and_o deceive_v and_o delude_v they_o in_o this_o manner_n when_o they_o think_v little_a he_o be_v so_o near_o they_o or_o so_o busy_a in_o work_v they_o so_o great_a a_o mischief_n even_o that_o which_o if_o it_o be_v not_o careful_o prevent_v in_o time_n will_v be_v their_o utter_a ruin_n in_o the_o end_n o_o lord_n let_v i_o never_o give_v ear_n unto_o the_o deceitful_a enchantment_n and_o to_o the_o entice_a &_o dangerous_a charm_n of_o that_o subtle_a and_o wily_a serpent_n who_o be_v always_o hiss_v about_o i_o let_v i_o not_o once_o listen_v unto_o he_o nor_o yield_v unto_o any_o of_o his_o suggestion_n but_o always_o resist_v he_o in_o the_o first_o motion_n unto_o every_o sin_n whereunto_o he_o shall_v tempt_v i_o and_o whensoever_o that_o good_a spirit_n of_o thou_o shall_v speak_v inward_o and_o secret_o unto_o my_o soul_n and_o inspire_v any_o good_a thought_n any_o of_o it_o such_o either_o have_v never_o a_o true_a sight_n of_o the_o vanity_n of_o all_o thing_n here_o below_o and_o of_o the_o wretchedness_n and_o misery_n whereunto_o man_n even_o the_o best_a be_v subject_n in_o this_o life_n or_o else_o they_o never_o indeed_o full_o taste_v of_o the_o blessedness_n and_o felicity_n of_o the_o life_n to_o come_v even_o those_o endless_a joy_n and_o unspeakable_a glory_n which_o be_v prepare_v and_o reserve_v for_o the_o saint_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n or_o if_o they_o have_v in_o some_o sort_n taste_v of_o this_o heavenly_a gift_n yet_o without_o any_o certainty_n or_o assurance_n that_o it_o belong_v unto_o they_o and_o that_o their_o right_n and_o portion_n shall_v be_v in_o it_o and_o therefore_o can_v not_o be_v so_o sound_o affect_v with_o it_o as_o thereby_o to_o be_v bring_v into_o a_o true_a dislike_n and_o contempt_n of_o this_o present_a evil_a world_n which_o notwithstanding_o at_o least_o they_o wouâ—d_v seem_v own_o and_o not_o god_n why_o then_o shall_v they_o sin_v against_o he_o by_o repine_v that_o they_o can_v keep_v they_o against_o his_o will_n have_v he_o give_v unto_o they_o the_o use_n of_o they_o thus_o long_o &_o do_v he_o now_o call_v for_o they_o and_o require_v they_o again_o of_o they_o why_o then_o shall_v they_o not_o with_o all_o willingness_n and_o thankfulness_n restore_v they_o he_o can_v but_o free_o even_o from_o his_o heart_n forgive_v other_o as_o god_n for_o christ_n sake_n forgive_v he_o either_o therefore_o manifest_v thy_o love_n unto_o thy_o brother_n in_o free_o forgive_n and_o forget_v the_o wrong_n and_o injury_n which_o they_o have_v do_v unto_o thou_o or_o else_o free_o acknowledge_v and_o confess_v as_o indeed_o the_o truth_n be_v that_o thou_o never_o comfortless_a estate_n or_o else_o which_o thou_o ought_v rather_o to_o desire_v and_o to_o be_v careful_a of_o above_o all_o thing_n that_o thou_o have_v obtain_v mercy_n that_o thou_o be_v in_o the_o love_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o that_o all_o thy_o sin_n be_v free_o and_o full_o forgive_v thou_o because_o thou_o be_v love_a and_o merciful_a in_o forgive_n other_o that_o have_v sin_v against_o thou_o o_o merciful_a god_n cause_v i_o daily_o more_o &_o more_o daily_a to_o see_v the_o exceed_a riches_n of_o thy_o grace_n and_o to_o taste_v of_o that_o infinite_a and_o unspeakable_a love_n and_o kindness_n of_o thou_o in_o christ_n jesus_n so_o free_o and_o so_o graciouslie_o pardon_v and_o forgive_n unto_o i_o all_o my_o sin_n even_o that_o great_a debt_n which_o no_o creature_n be_v able_a to_o make_v satisfaction_n unto_o thy_o majesty_n for_o i_o and_o those_o heinous_a offence_n for_o which_o thou_o may_v have_v just_o condemn_v i_o and_o let_v the_o lively_a sense_n of_o they_o but_o recompense_v he_o with_o a_o great_a measure_n of_o glory_n o_o lord_n though_o the_o wicked_a of_o this_o world_n study_v how_o they_o may_v vex_v and_o molest_v i_o while_o they_o other_o as_o with_o our_o own_o and_o have_v a_o sense_n and_o a_o feel_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v grievous_a unto_o they_o as_o much_o as_o if_o the_o same_o be_v our_o grief_n as_o it_o be_v they_o or_o the_o same_o burden_n lie_v upon_o we_o that_o do_v upon_o they_o this_o be_v that_o which_o god_n have_v command_v and_o which_o all_o of_o we_o must_v frame_v ourselves_o unto_o if_o we_o will_v not_o be_v guilty_a of_o sin_n both_o against_o god_n and_o our_o neighbour_n but_o alas_o such_o be_v the_o weakness_n &_o feebleness_n of_o man_n nature_n that_o few_o or_o none_o be_v thus_o indifferent_o affect_v towards_o themselves_o and_o other_o yea_o most_o do_v little_o regard_v the_o evil_n which_o press_v other_o and_o lie_v heavy_a upon_o they_o whereas_o if_o the_o same_o or_o a_o lesser_a be_v lay_v upon_o themselves_o they_o be_v sore_o vex_v and_o grieve_v they_o complain_v much_o and_o think_v that_o none_o can_v be_v compassionate_a enough_o towards_o they_o good_a lord_n i_o beseech_v thou_o to_o heal_v i_o of_o this_o infirmity_n and_o to_o free_v i_o from_o this_o corruption_n grant_v that_o i_o may_v have_v a_o sympathy_n and_o fellow-feeling_n of_o the_o sorrow_n and_o misery_n of_o other_o as_o if_o they_o be_v my_o own_o let_v i_o always_o have_v a_o tender_a compassion_n over_o they_o and_o be_v affect_v unto_o they_o in_o that_o manner_n as_o i_o will_v desire_v if_o i_o be_v in_o their_o estate_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v unto_o i_o this_o be_v that_o which_o thy_o holy_a and_o righteous_a law_n bind_v i_o unto_o and_o way_n that_o think_v that_o either_o riches_n health_n pleasure_n honour_n or_o any_o earthly_a or_o worldly_a thing_n whatsoever_o will_v bring_v they_o true_a constant_a joy_n nay_o a_o man_n have_v all_o these_o as_o much_o as_o his_o heart_n can_v wish_v or_o desire_n may_v be_v in_o a_o miserable_a and_o comfortless_a estate_n and_o condition_n full_a of_o grief_n and_o anguish_n yea_o even_o day_n o_o let_v it_o please_v thou_o who_o be_v able_a to_o do_v all_o thing_n to_o make_v a_o gracious_a supplier_fw-fr of_o that_o which_o thou_o see_v to_o be_v want_v in_o i_o and_o wherein_o through_o weakness_n and_o infirmity_n i_o be_o subject_a to_o fail_v most_o to_o help_v and_o to_o assist_v i_o through_o the_o powerful_a work_n of_o thy_o bless_a spirit_n without_o which_o i_o be_o able_a to_o do_v nothing_o the_o extreme_a folly_n of_o man_n in_o hazard_v the_o eternal_a estate_n of_o their_o soul_n for_o the_o enjoy_n of_o the_o vain_a pleasure_n of_o this_o world_n o_o how_o vain_a how_o momentary_a and_o deceitful_a be_v all_o earthly_a pleasure_n and_o delight_n even_o then_o when_o any_o enjoy_v all_o that_o his_o heart_n can_v wish_v or_o desire_v or_o whereunto_o his_o mind_n stand_v most_o affect_v they_o be_v all_o as_o smoke_n or_o as_o a_o shadow_n they_o vanish_v sudden_o and_o come_v to_o nothing_o and_o when_o they_o be_v go_v they_o be_v as_o if_o they_o have_v never_o be_v even_o the_o remembrance_n of_o they_o do_v perish_v and_o pass_v away_o and_o while_o that_o a_o man_n have_v the_o use_n of_o they_o yet_o do_v he_o not_o find_v any_o true_a delight_n or_o contentment_n in_o they_o yea_o it_o may_v well_o be_v doubt_v whether_o he_o taste_v of_o more_o sour_a or_o sweet_a more_o honey_n or_o gall_n more_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n or_o grief_n and_o vexation_n while_o he_o drink_v they_o down_o with_o a_o greedy_a appetite_n and_o in_o a_o unsatiable_a manner_n for_o thus_o the_o lord_n usual_o put_v much_o bitterness_n into_o their_o sweet_a cup_n and_o mingle_v trouble_v anguish_n and_o vexation_n with_o their_o chief_a delight_n which_o they_o most_o inordinate_o desire_v and_o seek_v after_o and_o yet_o lo_o such_o be_v the_o folly_n &_o sottishness_n of_o many_o unto_o who_o the_o lord_n otherwise_o have_v give_v understand_v whereby_o to_o judge_v and_o discern_v of_o thing_n that_o differ_v
