be_v not_o able_a by_o all_o our_o own_o strength_n and_o diligence_n to_o preserve_v ourselves_o yet_o when_o god_n see_v we_o so_o industrious_o solicitous_a to_o avoid_v sin_n he_o will_v then_o come_v in_o by_o his_o almighty_a grace_n that_o help_v not_o the_o slothful_a but_o the_o laborious_a and_o he_o will_v keep_v we_o from_o those_o sin_n that_o we_o can_v keep_v ourselves_o from_o now_o for_o the_o application_n of_o this_o if_o it_o be_v so_o that_o it_o be_v the_o almighty_a power_n of_o god_n only_o that_o can_v keep_v we_o from_o sin_n this_o may_v then_o be_v convictive_a that_o the_o inclination_n of_o the_o best_a be_v too_o strong_a even_o to_o those_o sin_n that_o a_o perfect_a moralist_n will_v think_v scorn_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v suspect_v of_o and_o therefore_o he_o exhort_v they_o with_o all_o earnestness_n and_o frequent_a importunity_n to_o mortify_v such_o foul_a sin_n as_o these_o be_v three_o law_n from_o the_o irritate_v power_n of_o the_o and_o this_o we_o call_v the_o irritate_v power_n of_o the_o law_n thus_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o in_o rom._n 7.11_o 13._o that_o sin_n take_v occasion_n by_o the_o law_n to_o work_v in_o we_o all_o manner_n of_o concupiscence_n why_o now_o be_v it_o possible_a that_o sin_n shall_v grow_v strong_a by_o that_o law_n that_o be_v give_v on_o purpose_n to_o destroy_v it_o but_o that_o there_o be_v in_o we_o violent_a propension_n towards_o what_o be_v forbid_v we_o and_o eager_a desire_n after_o that_o which_o god_n have_v deny_v we_o so_o strange_o deprave_v be_v our_o corrupt_a nature_n
