desire_n of_o they_o mark_v this_o and_o if_o thou_o find_v i_o say_v that_o thou_o can_v dispense_v with_o thy_o duty_n towards_o god_n or_o any_o service_n of_o he_o for_o the_o prosecution_n of_o thy_o worldly_a estate_n if_o thou_o find_v that_o thou_o can_v dispense_v with_o thy_o duty_n towards_o thy_o neighbour_n because_o thou_o will_v not_o diminish_v thy_o estate_n or_o that_o thou_o late_o and_o so_o thoughtful_a and_o so_o careful_o for_o and_o about_o these_o worldly_a thing_n not_o to_o be_v so_o anxious_a in_o our_o spirit_n for_o they_o i_o say_v learn_v hence_o to_o abate_v our_o action_n not_o to_o encumber_v ourselves_o too_o much_o with_o worldly_a thing_n do_v but_o as_o our_o duty_n and_o conscience_n require_v so_o far_o as_o we_o be_v bind_v by_o the_o rule_n of_o the_o way_n of_o religion_n put_v you_o in_o the_o way_n of_o happiness_n alone_o it_o be_v only_o the_o know_v and_o fear_v and_o love_v and_o serve_v of_o god_n which_o be_v the_o sum_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n that_o be_v the_o plain_a pathway_n of_o happiness_n this_o therefore_o confute_v all_o those_o ignorant_a conceit_n that_o the_o blind_a nature_n of_o man_n the_o blind_a understanding_n of_o man_n be_v ready_a to_o fall_v on_o and_o to_o be_v seduce_v and_o draw_v away_o by_o as_o it_o be_v with_o ignis_fw-la fatuus_fw-la which_o as_o some_o fable_n draw_v out_o of_o their_o way_n in_o the_o night_n this_o i_o say_v confute_v all_o those_o false_a and_o erroneous_a conceit_n of_o the_o way_n to_o happiness_n 2_o this_o may_v serve_v for_o conviction_n conviction_n conviction_n to_o convince_v a_o great_a many_o and_o i_o pray_v god_n there_o be_v none_o here_o among_o we_o who_o it_o may_v concern_v as_o i_o suppose_v none_o will_v think_v it_o uncharitable_a in_o i_o to_o think_v that_o there_o may_v be_v some_o for_o when_o the_o son_n of_o god_n appear_v before_o god_n satan_n step_v in_o among_o they_o and_o there_o may_v be_v some_o that_o be_v not_o the_o son_n of_o god_n but_o if_o there_o be_v any_o such_o here_o let_v they_o know_v here_o be_v a_o clear_a conviction_n that_o there_o be_v many_o even_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o religion_n that_o do_v pretend_v towards_o it_o that_o be_v not_o in_o the_o way_n to_o happiness_n they_o have_v nothing_o of_o it_o here_o they_o have_v no_o beginning_n of_o it_o here_o nor_o be_v they_o ever_o like_a to_o have_v the_o full_a perfection_n of_o it_o hereafter_o however_o they_o please_v themselves_o in_o their_o own_o conceit_n and_o imagination_n for_o a_o man_n may_v easy_o evince_v it_o and_o convince_v they_o of_o it_o if_o they_o want_v any_o of_o these_o thing_n which_o we_o have_v mention_v and_o much_o more_o if_o they_o want_v all_o of_o they_o they_o be_v diverse_a to_o instance_n but_o in_o one_o of_o the_o branch_n viz._n in_o the_o branch_n of_o knowledge_n which_o be_v the_o very_a first_o introducer_n in_o the_o way_n of_o happiness_n he_o that_o have_v not_o a_o sound_a knowledge_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o god_n and_o of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n at_o the_o least_o the_o substance_n of_o the_o covenant_n and_o that_o in_o some_o degree_n of_o profundity_n solid_a and_o substantial_a the_o mere_a ignorant_a man_n that_o know_v not_o these_o thing_n as_o hereby_o convince_v that_o he_o be_v out_o of_o the_o way_n to_o happiness_n and_o which_o be_v worse_o i_o be_o afraid_a even_o in_o these_o time_n of_o knowledge_n though_o it_o be_v a_o shame_n it_o shall_v be_v so_o and_o a_o grief_n to_o think_v on_o it_o that_o it_o be_v so_o i_o be_o afraid_a i_o say_v that_o there_o be_v many_o man_n not_o only_o of_o the_o poor_a sort_n of_o people_n that_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o mean_n of_o their_o condition_n have_v no_o generous_a thought_n in_o themselves_o nor_o look_v after_o matter_n of_o knowledge_n who_o can_v so_o well_o appear_v in_o the_o use_n of_o the_o mean_n i_o mean_v come_v to_o church_n in_o that_o they_o have_v not_o time_n to_o spare_v to_o come_v nor_o understanding_n to_o reach_v what_o they_o hear_v when_o they_o come_v but_o beside_o these_o i_o be_o afraid_a even_o many_o man_n and_o woman_n in_o gaudy_a coat_n and_o gay_a clothes_n yea_o and_o i_o be_o afraid_a too_o many_o that_o be_v of_o good_a intellectual_n and_o understanding_n for_o other_o thing_n as_o for_o the_o world_n and_o their_o trade_n for_o plenty_n and_o honour_n and_o riches_n and_o as_o we_o use_v to_o say_v of_o a_o top_n the_o keen_a point_n of_o it_o be_v towards_o the_o earth_n but_o it_o be_v flat_a and_o dull_a enough_o towards_o heaven_n and_o heavenly_a thing_n i_o be_o afraid_a i_o say_v that_o they_o have_v not_o at_o least_o a_o sound_n and_o solid_a knowledge_n but_o content_v themselves_o either_o with_o none_o at_o all_o or_o at_o best_o very_o little_a though_o they_o know_v other_o thing_n yet_o they_o care_v not_o for_o religion_n or_o if_o they_o do_v they_o content_v themselves_o with_o a_o superficial_a swim_a knowledge_n or_o some_o general_a knowledge_n of_o god_n but_o certain_o belove_v know_v that_o they_o that_o have_v not_o knowledge_n and_o a_o competent_a degree_n of_o knowledge_n in_o some_o measure_n and_o degree_n of_o the_o main_a thing_n of_o religion_n these_o man_n must_v needs_o be_v clean_o out_o of_o the_o way_n to_o happiness_n that_o be_v a_o clear_a truth_n but_o i_o suppose_v many_o man_n will_v escape_v this_o conviction_n and_o when_o they_o come_v at_o this_o door_n they_o be_v it_o may_v be_v admit_v they_o pass_v now_o and_o it_o be_v true_a it_o may_v be_v they_o have_v knowledge_n in_o these_o time_n of_o knowledge_n yet_o know_v that_o many_o man_n that_o have_v it_o shall_v at_o last_o be_v keep_v out_o for_o suppose_v it_o come_v but_o to_o examine_v their_o affection_n how_o their_o heart_n do_v stand_v towards_o god_n especial_o in_o the_o degree_n of_o it_o where_o be_v the_o sovereignty_n of_o the_o affection_n of_o belove_v the_o commendation_n he_o be_v candidus_fw-la &_o rubicundus_fw-la the_o mixture_n of_o that_o make_v the_o beauty_n of_o the_o face_n in_o the_o body_n and_o the_o mixture_n of_o these_o make_v the_o beauty_n of_o the_o affection_n in_o the_o soul_n fear_v mix_v with_o love_n for_o it_o must_v not_o go_v alone_o fear_v though_o it_o be_v apt_a to_o make_v we_o careful_a and_o cautious_a careful_a how_o to_o please_v god_n and_o cautious_a fearful_a to_o offend_v he_o yet_o if_o it_o be_v alone_o it_o will_v be_v ready_a to_o precipitate_v we_o into_o despair_n or_o forlorn_a hope_n it_o must_v be_v temper_v therefore_o with_o love_n that_o we_o look_v not_o only_o upon_o the_o greatness_n but_o on_o the_o goodness_n and_o sweetness_n of_o god_n that_o as_o we_o the_o manner_n that_o be_v another_o thing_n which_o i_o must_v confess_v i_o have_v ever_o in_o all_o thing_n commend_v and_o praise_v as_o one_o of_o the_o most_o vital_a and_o main_a thing_n of_o of_o door_n that_o be_v not_o competent_a with_o god_n that_o be_v not_o fit_a and_o therefore_o remember_v this_o as_o the_o main_n that_o we_o shall_v aim_n at_o to_o bring_v our_o affection_n to_o not_o to_o rest_v or_o satisfy_v ourselves_o with_o any_o degree_n or_o with_o any_o kind_n of_o fear_n or_o love_n or_o any_o measure_n of_o they_o but_o wind_v they_o up_o to_o that_o degree_n of_o sovereignty_n love_v god_n above_o all_o and_o fear_v he_o above_o all_o let_v nothing_o be_v so_o terrible_a nor_o so_o formidable_a as_o to_o make_v we_o to_o forsake_v god_n nor_o nothing_o so_o lovely_a or_o so_o desirous_a that_o it_o shall_v tempt_v or_o allure_v we_o to_o part_v with_o god_n if_o any_o thing_n do_v make_v a_o man_n do_v so_o that_o be_v his_o god_n and_o that_o be_v it_o in_o a_o few_o word_n there_o be_v some_o thing_n i_o shall_v say_v in_o general_a and_o then_o add_v some_o thing_n in_o particular_a and_o but_o in_o a_o word_n heed_n in_o general_n by_o take_v heed_n 1_o in_o general_n we_o must_v take_v heed_n of_o some_o thing_n and_o take_v care_n of_o some_o thing_n or_o there_o be_v a_o negative_a act_n and_o a_o positive_a act_n of_o care_n that_o must_v be_v use_v for_o the_o implant_n and_o engraft_v of_o these_o affection_n in_o the_o soul_n other_o heed_n to_o chase_v away_o other_o 1_o we_o must_v take_v heed_n to_o chase_v away_o at_o least_o to_o moderate_v and_o bring_v under_o and_o subjugate_v all_o other_o affection_n to_o keep_v they_o under_o to_o keep_v they_o low_o love_n fear_v and_o love_n that_o the_o water_n do_v not_o go_v beside_o the_o mill_n that_o we_o do_v not_o spend_v those_o precious_a affection_n and_o pour_v they_o out_o like_o sweet_a water_n on_o some_o filthy_a and_o stink_a ditch_n bestow_v not_o your_o fear_n upon_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o to_o be_v fear_v nor_o bestow_v your_o love_n on_o any_o unworthy_a thing_n that_o have_v neither_o beauty_n nor_o goodness_n nor_o worth_n nor_o any_o thing_n to_o deserve_v love_n we_o must_v call_v in_o all_o our_o stock_n and_o drive_v a_o other_o trade_n and_o suppress_v and_o keep_v all_o these_o under_o as_o much_o as_o may_v be_v that_o all_o may_v run_v in_o this_o channel_n if_o the_o stream_n be_v divide_v it_o be_v weaken_v and_o it_o will_v not_o be_v navigable_a when_o it_o be_v cut_v into_o many_o river_n and_o so_o if_o we_o divide_v the_o stream_n of_o our_o affection_n if_o we_o suffer_v one_o current_n of_o fear_n to_o run_v this_o way_n and_o another_o the_o other_o way_n and_o a_o current_n of_o love_n to_o break_v out_o this_o way_n and_o the_o other_o way_n and_o make_v many_o little_a channel_n that_o will_v not_o
be_v useful_a neither_o shall_v we_o be_v able_a to_o maintain_v the_o main_a current_n we_o must_v therefore_o take_v off_o our_o affection_n from_o other_o thing_n wean_v our_o affection_n from_o the_o world_n from_o the_o pleasure_n from_o the_o honour_n from_o the_o riches_n of_o it_o for_o every_o one_o of_o these_o like_a unfruitful_a bough_n under_o bough_n flourish_v at_o the_o root_n of_o the_o tree_n and_o grow_v up_o to_o the_o prejudice_n of_o the_o main_a tree_n for_o as_o much_o as_o they_o draw_v the_o sap_n and_o nourishment_n away_o from_o that_o and_o starve_v the_o tree_n itself_o like_o ivy_n about_o the_o oak_n the_o ivy_n grow_v about_o it_o but_o the_o oak_n fare_v the_o worse_a as_o one_o say_v of_o the_o child_n at_o nurse_n the_o nurse_n fare_v the_o worse_a for_o the_o child_n sake_n the_o nurse_n pine_v and_o waste_v when_o she_o nourish_v and_o cherish_v her_o child_n the_o child_n draw_v she_o so_o much_o down_o that_o it_o leave_v she_o but_o lean_a and_o so_o in_o this_o case_n if_o we_o let_v our_o affection_n loose_v let_v they_o out_o upon_o any_o thing_n beside_o god_n in_o a_o inordinate_a way_n it_o do_v exceed_o abate_v and_o weaken_v our_o affection_n towards_o god_n they_o who_o will_v preserve_v the_o fire_n which_o be_v on_o the_o hearth_n can_v hardly_o do_v it_o if_o the_o sun_n beam_n do_v shine_v upon_o the_o hearth_n for_o they_o will_v extinguish_v and_o put_v it_o out_o so_o it_o be_v in_o this_o case_n our_o heart_n will_v grow_v exceed_o cold_a towards_o god_n and_o all_o the_o fire_n of_o holy_a affection_n will_v moulder_v away_o if_o these_o worldly_a thing_n seem_v glorious_a in_o our_o eye_n and_o seem_v beautiful_a they_o will_v steal_v away_o our_o love_n and_o steal_v away_o our_o affection_n and_o draw_v away_o our_o heart_n from_o god_n that_o be_v the_o thing_n that_o shall_v be_v take_v heed_n of_o it_o be_v a_o thing_n that_o christian_n shall_v always_o be_v careful_a of_o that_o the_o fear_n of_o other_o thing_n do_v not_o eat_v out_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n nor_o the_o love_n of_o other_o thing_n do_v not_o make_v a_o damp_n and_o quench_v the_o love_n of_o god_n and_o choke_v the_o growth_n of_o it_o we_o must_v take_v heed_n of_o that_o these_o care_v to_o chase_v in_o these_o 2_o but_o then_o as_o we_o shall_v take_v heed_n to_o chase_v away_o other_o thing_n that_o will_v be_v prejudicial_a to_o these_o holy_a affection_n so_o we_o shall_v take_v care_n to_o chafe_v in_o these_o holy_a affection_n to_o keep_v they_o always_o warm_a to_o nourish_v and_o to_o cherish_v they_o if_o you_o will_v keep_v in_o your_o fire_n you_o must_v supply_v it_o with_o fire_n what_o ever_o few_o ill_n will_v serve_v to_o keep_v in_o this_o fire_n of_o heavenly_a love_n and_o heavenly_a fear_n in_o the_o full_a heat_n and_o full_a brightness_n you_o must_v be_v chary_a how_o you_o withdraw_v that_o fire_n and_o careful_a rather_o to_o feed_v that_o fire_n and_o so_o much_o the_o more_o tender_a care_n shall_v be_v have_v of_o this_o because_o you_o must_v know_v that_o it_o be_v with_o those_o holy_a affection_n as_o it_o be_v with_o noble_a and_o generous_a plant_n which_o be_v in_o our_o country_n but_o exotique_a and_o bring_v hither_o from_o another_o soil_n out_o of_o other_o country_n the_o country_n be_v not_o so_o kind_o for_o they_o be_v but_o a_o stepmother_n to_o they_o and_o a_o little_a unkindness_n of_o the_o air_n will_v soon_o nip_n the_o blossom_n if_o we_o have_v not_o so_o much_o the_o more_o care_n of_o they_o in_o water_v of_o they_o and_o cherish_v of_o they_o now_o all_o grace_n and_o all_o holy_a affection_n be_v but_o exotique_a plant_n they_o come_v from_o heaven_n and_o they_o descend_v from_o thence_o and_o they_o be_v far_o more_o by_o a_o great_a deal_n rigorous_a and_o odoriferous_a in_o heaven_n because_o they_o be_v there_o in_o their_o proper_a native_a soil_n in_o the_o bless_a saint_n and_o the_o bless_a angel_n they_o be_v near_o god_n near_o to_o the_o fountain_n of_o life_n and_o heat_n and_o there_o be_v more_o vigour_n and_o sweetness_n in_o they_o but_o alas_o we_o be_v far_o a_o fonte_fw-la caloris_fw-la and_o this_o world_n be_v but_o a_o unkind_a mother_n to_o these_o plant_n a_o step_n mother_n to_o they_o though_o a_o mother_n to_o other_o affection_n and_o therefore_o the_o whole_a and_o as_o the_o issue_n of_o both_o these_o contain_v a_o double_a act_n obedience_n sincere_a repentance_n and_o obedience_n 1._o of_o repentance_n 2._o of_o obedience_n and_o the_o which_o i_o intend_v now_o to_o dispatch_v be_v that_o those_o that_o have_v both_o these_o and_o have_v make_v a_o good_a groundwork_n and_o foundation_n of_o knowledge_n and_o belief_n and_o be_v not_o altogether_o defective_a in_o sweet_a and_o holy_a affection_n towards_o god_n will_v be_v careful_a to_o crown_v both_o these_o with_o sincere_a repentance_n and_o obedience_n that_o be_v the_o thing_n i_o shall_v now_o treat_v of_o obedience_n get_v repentance_n obedience_n in_o the_o prosecution_n of_o which_o i_o shall_v take_v the_o same_o order_n that_o i_o do_v in_o the_o former_a what_o we_o have_v fail_v and_o even_o as_o a_o horse_n will_v do_v after_o every_o stumble_a make_v so_o much_o more_o speed_n so_o after_o all_o our_o stumbling_n and_o fail_n let_v we_o recover_v and_o enforce_v ourselves_o so_o much_o the_o more_o to_o omit_v all_o extraordinary_a case_n and_o extraordinary_a person_n and_o extraordinary_a time_n and_o motion_n of_o god_n spirit_n and_o all_o other_o extraordinary_a occasion_n we_o must_v take_v this_o course_n of_o serious_a examination_n and_o strong_a resolution_n execution_n speedy_a execution_n 3_o and_o then_o there_o remain_v nothing_o but_o speedy_a execution_n to_o let_v upon_o this_o which_o be_v the_o three_o thing_n in_o the_o generality_n and_o which_o i_o will_v express_v a_o little_a more_o particular_o and_o there_o be_v but_o two_o thing_n that_o i_o will_v mention_v as_o most_o considerable_o helpful_a to_o set_v a_o man_n upon_o and_o strengthen_v he_o in_o a_o way_n of_o obedience_n special_a in_o special_a first_o of_o all_o knowledge_n repair_v and_o increase_v in_o knowledge_n the_o repair_n and_o increase_v of_o those_o former_a thing_n in_o the_o point_n as_o namely_o your_o knowledge_n labour_n for_o a_o new_a improvement_n every_o day_n increase_v your_o knowledge_n let_v the_o word_n of_o god_n dwell_v plenteous_o among_o you_o strive_v more_o to_o know_v what_o the_o good_a and_o acceptable_a will_n of_o god_n be_v build_v yourselves_o up_o more_o in_o your_o knowledge_n and_o this_o be_v one_o step_n towards_o our_o obedience_n increase_v your_o faith_n and_o belief_n faith_n faith_n cleave_v and_o assent_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n belief_n that_o be_v a_o good_a help_n it_o be_v unbelief_n that_o be_v a_o great_a rub_n hinder_v we_o from_o set_v upon_o the_o way_n of_o obedience_n for_o because_o we_o do_v not_o believe_v therefore_o we_o do_v not_o do_v but_o the_o more_o firm_o we_o believe_v the_o more_o strong_o we_o shall_v run_v the_o way_n of_o god_n commandment_n again_o increase_v your_o holy_a affection_n of_o fear_n and_o love_n increase_v a_o holy_a fear_n of_o god_n fear_n fear_n often_o set_v his_o majesty_n before_o your_o eye_n often_o think_v upon_o the_o holiness_n the_o excellency_n and_o the_o purity_n of_o his_o nature_n think_v on_o his_o majesty_n in_o all_o respect_n think_v upon_o his_o all_o see_v eye_n and_o upon_o his_o all-knowing_a knowledge_n that_o he_o take_v a_o account_n of_o all_o a_o man_n way_n and_o all_o his_o action_n and_o this_o will_v work_v a_o holy_a fear_n of_o his_o majesty_n and_o that_o holy_a fear_n will_v put_v it_o upon_o holy_a obedience_n increase_v also_o your_o love_n and_o sweet_a affection_n towards_o god_n labour_v to_o see_v love_n love_n not_o only_a excellency_n to_o astonish_v but_o beauty_n in_o god_n to_o move_v we_o to_o love_n and_o sweetness_n to_o inflame_v our_o love_n labour_v to_o see_v all_o the_o goodness_n and_o sweetness_n that_o be_v in_o he_o and_o this_o will_v wonderful_o raise_v our_o thought_n to_o love_v he_o and_o that_o love_v infinite_o set_v we_o on_o in_o a_o way_n of_o obedience_n to_o he_o this_o i_o say_v will_v be_v a_o great_a help_n for_o the_o truth_n be_v nothing_o in_o this_o kind_n come_v off_o handsome_o from_o we_o if_o it_o come_v not_o from_o love_n it_o be_v against_o the_o hair_n if_o it_o come_v not_o from_o a_o principle_n of_o love_n whereas_o on_o the_o otherside_n as_o the_o say_n be_v marti_fw-la arma_fw-la non_fw-la sunt_fw-la onera_fw-la the_o commandment_n of_o god_n will_v not_o be_v burdensome_a to_o we_o if_o we_o love_v god_n so_o that_o now_o the_o increase_a and_o the_o renew_n of_o every_o one_o of_o these_o former_a thing_n will_v be_v a_o mean_n to_o set_v we_o upon_o obedience_n for_o every_o one_o of_o they_o seru_v proportionable_o for_o the_o water_v of_o the_o very_a root_n of_o obedience_n to_o make_v it_o thrive_v and_o prosper_v though_o i_o do_v not_o now_o for_o it_o be_v not_o necessary_a if_o i_o will_v make_v a_o young_a tree_n grow_v that_o i_o have_v plant_v that_o i_o shall_v go_v to_o the_o top_n or_o bough_n of_o the_o tree_n and_o cast_v water_n there_o it_o be_v but_o frivolous_a for_o it_o suffice_v to_o cast_v the_o water_n at_o the_o root_n for_o it_o be_v the_o root_n that_o nourish_v all_o the_o branch_n and_o all_o the_o sap_n it_o be_v first_o at_o the_o root_n and_o so_o convey_v to_o the_o bough_n and_o branch_n so_o it_o be_v in_o this_o case_n i_o do_v not_o speak_v of_o water_v the_o top_n of_o obedience_n to_o make_v it_o flourish_v outward_o but_o water_n the_o root_n with_o this_o knowledge_n and_o these_o affection_n which_o be_v the_o root_n of_o all_o the_o action_n of_o obedience_n and_o then_o there_o will_v natural_o issue_v forth_o the_o fruit_n of_o obedience_n for_o if_o these_o be_v keep_v well_o and_o strong_a if_o these_o be_v renew_v and_o further_v the_o other_o will_v be_v a_o natural_a issue_n out_o of_o it_o 2._o but_o yet_o to_o speak_v a_o little_a more_o particular_o these_o exercise_v these_o the_o main_a thing_n that_o will_v help_v we_o in_o obedience_n be_v the_o very_a act_n and_o exercise_v of_o obedience_n every_o act_n be_v strengthen_v and_o every_o habit_n be_v strengthen_v by_o the_o exercise_n of_o many_o act_n of_o that_o habit_n and_o it_o grow_v to_o be_v strengthen_v by_o frequent_a use_n obedience_n be_v a_o thing_n that_o can_v be_v otherwise_o strengthen_v but_o only_o by_o mere_a practice_n so_o that_o this_o be_v the_o main_n viz._n the_o set_n upon_o the_o work_n not_o only_o meditate_v and_o ponder_v upon_o it_o and_o think_v what_o i_o ought_v to_o do_v to_o obey_v god_n but_o when_o i_o do_v know_v what_o his_o will_n be_v i_o must_v set_v upon_o the_o do_n of_o it_o i_o must_v not_o dispute_v about_o the_o thing_n but_o fall_v upon_o the_o do_n of_o the_o thing_n which_o i_o know_v i_o ought_v to_o do_v and_o now_o in_o this_o there_o be_v two_o thing_n some_o thing_n must_v be_v take_v heed_n of_o that_o will_v hinder_v we_o in_o the_o practice_n of_o obedience_n heed_n take_v heed_n and_o some_o thing_n that_o we_o must_v take_v care_n of_o that_o will_v exceed_o further_o we_o in_o a_o course_n of_o obedience_n i_o will_v but_o touch_v upon_o some_o few_o thing_n in_o either_o reason_v take_v heed_n of_o such_o carnal_a thing_n carnal_a of_o carnal_a as_o will_v choke_v we_o in_o the_o very_a thought_n when_o we_o be_v to_o go_v about_o a_o course_n of_o obedience_n i_o say_v will_v choke_v the_o very_a thought_n as_o 1._o carnal_a reason_n it_o be_v a_o wonderful_a thing_n to_o see_v and_o yet_o no_o wonder_n when_o we_o consider_v our_o natural_a condition_n how_o many_o thing_n will_v boil_v as_o it_o be_v out_o of_o the_o heart_n how_o many_o foolish_a excuse_n and_o how_o many_o vain_a pretence_n to_o keep_v a_o man_n off_o from_o duty_n when_o a_o man_n have_v some_o thought_n to_o go_v about_o it_o as_o when_o a_o man_n have_v some_o thought_n to_o go_v and_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n then_o arise_v such_o a_o hinder_v think_v as_o thus_o i_o can_v sit_v at_o home_n and_o read_v the_o while_n and_o save_v my_o labour_n of_o go_v i_o know_v what_o the_o minister_n will_v say_v viz._n that_o it_o be_v but_o faith_n and_o obedience_n we_o must_v labour_v for_o and_o so_o many_o other_o thing_n there_o may_v be_v and_o indeed_o so_o many_o as_o that_o they_o will_v take_v we_o off_o from_o the_o thing_n we_o shall_v and_o indeed_o otherwise_o will_v do_v it_o be_v strange_a to_o think_v of_o the_o infinite_a reach_a and_o rack_a a_o man_n wit_n to_o make_v excuse_n some_o thought_n of_o other_o be_v in_o the_o way_n either_o it_o be_v not_o now_o time_n or_o some_o thing_n else_o there_o be_v always_o some_o dispute_v that_o reason_n will_v suggest_v by_o which_o we_o contradict_v our_o intent_n and_o choke_v our_o purpose_n of_o do_v this_o or_o that_o duty_n take_v heed_n therefore_o
