be_v growth_n for_o that_o which_o live_v grow_v till_o it_o come_v to_o its_o full_a perfection_n so_o in_o all_o natural_a grace_n growth_n in_o grace_n vegitative_a or_o sensitive_a life_n if_o it_o live_v it_o grow_v till_o it_o come_v to_o its_o full_a maturity_n when_o it_o come_v to_o its_o full_a vigour_n and_o strength_n it_o may_v decay_v and_o stand_v at_o a_o stay_n but_o a_o christian_n life_n never_o come_v to_o that_o till_o it_o come_v to_o the_o life_n of_o glory_n to_o the_o full_a measure_n of_o the_o stature_n of_o christ_n in_o this_o life_n we_o can_v come_v to_o grace_n and_o the_o power_n of_o grace_n and_o from_o fruitfulness_n and_o the_o abundance_n of_o the_o work_n of_o righteousness_n answ_n it_o be_v true_a many_o a_o soul_n do_v so_o for_o a_o while_n but_o if_o so_o be_v that_o god_n do_v give_v a_o christian_a man_n not_o to_o grow_v we_o must_v not_o say_v therefore_o he_o do_v not_o live_v not_o but_o that_o a_o man_n for_o a_o time_n may_v be_v weak_a as_o a_o live_a man_n in_o sickness_n may_v be_v very_o weak_a his_o spirit_n fail_v and_o his_o strength_n fail_v and_o his_o work_n and_o employment_n fail_v he_o and_o he_o can_v he_o he_o have_v so_o do_v both_o in_o offend_v god_n and_o his_o brethren_n than_o thou_o shall_v forgive_v he_o our_o saviour_n say_v so_o luke_n 17.4_o and_o the_o like_v you_o read_v eph._n 4._o so_o that_o when_o the_o holy_a ghost_n commend_v this_o as_o a_o property_n of_o love_n that_o it_o cover_v a_o multitude_n of_o sin_n he_o mean_v not_o that_o it_o cover_v they_o in_o silence_n or_o forgetfulness_n or_o carelessness_n as_o if_o we_o never_o mean_v to_o meddle_v nor_o make_v with_o they_o in_o a_o careless_a silence_n and_o in_o a_o indifferent_a put_n of_o the_o matter_n from_o we_o as_o if_o it_o nothing_o concern_v we_o but_o cover_v they_o by_o wisdom_n faithfulness_n and_o compassion_n even_o such_o as_o god_n for_o christ_n sake_n have_v show_v to_o we_o object_n but_o you_o say_v again_o but_o if_o a_o man_n be_v thus_o willing_a to_o see_v and_o observe_v the_o fail_n of_o his_o brethren_n it_o may_v be_v he_o shall_v be_v count_v a_o busy_a body_n in_o other_o to_o it_o and_o will_v cast_v and_o sweat_v it_o out_o nature_n can_v endure_v to_o be_v clog_v with_o superfluity_n out_o it_o must_v one_o way_n or_o other_o nature_n will_v ease_v itself_o it_o can_v long_o subsist_v pain_n and_o sickness_n be_v grievous_a and_o painful_a to_o nature_n if_o any_o thing_n trouble_v the_o stomach_n or_o the_o body_n out_o it_o must_v by_o vomit_n or_o purge_v it_o can_v stay_v if_o the_o man_n be_v live_v so_o if_o grace_n be_v but_o live_v in_o the_o soul_n there_o be_v a_o expulsive_a power_n in_o the_o soul_n that_o will_v purge_v away_o that_o which_o be_v contrary_a to_o it_o it_o can_v endure_v superfluity_n but_o away_o it_o must_v go_v there_o it_o can_v stay_v nothing_o will_v he_o keep_v but_o that_o which_o be_v convenient_a for_o he_o a_o christian_a look_v whatsoever_o it_o be_v that_o a_o christian_n find_v superfluous_a and_o find_v contrary_a to_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o soul_n either_o too_o much_o or_o contrary_a to_o his_o spirit_n that_o he_o abandon_v it_o more_o or_o less_o by_o degree_n measure_n after_o measure_n and_o time_n after_o time_n so_o the_o apostle_n exhort_v jam._n 1.21_o lay_v apart_o all_o filthiness_n and_o superfluity_n of_o naughtiness_n etc._n etc._n if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n which_o be_v superfluous_a or_o filthy_a away_o with_o it_o let_v it_o not_o rest_v there_o and_o if_o it_o be_v for_o no_o good_a purpose_n let_v it_o have_v no_o rest_n in_o thou_o there_o be_v many_o part_n of_o knowledge_n that_o be_v not_o contrary_a to_o the_o life_n of_o sanctification_n but_o be_v more_o than_o we_o shall_v have_v use_n of_o in_o our_o calling_n and_o though_o they_o may_v be_v such_o thing_n as_o other_o may_v make_v use_n of_o yet_o they_o be_v superfluous_a when_o they_o be_v of_o no_o use_n to_o we_o in_o our_o calling_n than_o put_v they_o away_o unless_o they_o be_v of_o use_n either_o for_o necessity_n or_o expediency_n than_o nature_n will_v cast_v they_o away_o especial_o if_o they_o be_v naughty_a thing_n they_o be_v more_o than_o superfluous_a than_o they_o be_v noisome_a and_o hurtful_a and_o therefore_o a_o christian_a man_n principal_o cast_v away_o that_o which_o be_v noisome_a and_o corrupt_v both_o doubt_v and_o presumption_n be_v contrary_a to_o the_o life_n of_o faith_n and_o therefore_o must_v be_v cast_v out_o cast_v out_o all_o something_o in_o it_o that_o be_v good_a yet_o so_o much_o of_o the_o world_n as_o he_o see_v he_o can_v well_o manage_v but_o with_o cumberance_n to_o the_o spirit_n of_o grace_n he_o lay_v it_o aside_o and_o meddle_v not_o with_o it_o he_o study_v no_o more_o than_o to_o use_v in_o a_o practical_a life_n he_o will_v live_v as_o david_n in_o saul_n armour_n when_o he_o see_v it_o trouble_v he_o he_o lay_v it_o aside_o so_o shall_v you_o find_v it_o with_o a_o christian_a these_o thing_n be_v unprofitable_a for_o he_o keep_v they_o out_o of_o your_o soul_n lest_o they_o prove_v a_o snare_n to_o you_o and_o whatever_o be_v superfluity_n cast_v it_o out_o and_o whatever_o distract_v you_o and_o clog_v you_o with_o care_n out_o with_o it_o whatever_o be_v a_o burden_n to_o the_o
