increase_v of_o the_o life_n of_o god_n in_o it_o augment_v this_o joy_n herein_o consist_v its_o gradual_a return_n unto_o its_o primitive_a order_n and_o rectitude_n with_o a_o bless_a addition_n of_o supernatual_a light_n and_o grace_n by_o christ_n jesus_n it_o find_v itself_o herein_o come_v home_o to_o god_n from_o its_o old_a apostasy_n in_o the_o way_n of_o approach_v to_o eternal_a rest_n and_o blessedness_n and_o there_o be_v no_o satisfaction_n like_o unto_o that_o which_o it_o receive_v therein_o this_o be_v the_o second_o way_n wherein_o faith_n will_v abide_v firm_a and_o constant_a and_o do_v evidence_n itself_o in_o the_o soul_n of_o every_o believer_n however_o low_a and_o mean_a its_o attainment_n be_v in_o this_o spiritual_a life_n and_o the_o fruit_n of_o it_o though_o it_o be_v overwhelm_v with_o darkness_n and_o a_o sense_n of_o the_o gild_n of_o sin_n though_o it_o be_v surprise_v and_o perplex_v with_o the_o deceit_n and_o violence_n thereof_o yet_o rome_n provide_v for_o their_o apostasy_n from_o the_o gospel_n a_o endless_a multiplication_n of_o religious_a duty_n be_v that_o which_o they_o trust_v to_o and_o boast_v in_o and_o we_o may_v find_v those_o daily_a that_o pretend_v a_o conscience_n as_o unto_o the_o constant_a observation_n of_o outward_a duty_n and_o yet_o will_v abstain_v from_o no_o sin_n that_o come_v in_o the_o way_n measure_n hope_v to_o countenance_v themselves_o in_o other_o lust_n and_o neglect_v thereby_o 2._o assistance_n of_o gift_n in_o the_o performance_n of_o they_o but_o as_o this_o may_v be_v where_o where_o there_o be_v not_o one_o dram_n of_o grace_n save_v grace_n so_o when_o rest_v in_o it_o be_v a_o most_o powerful_a engine_n to_o keep_v the_o soul_n in_o formality_n to_o ruin_v all_o beginning_n of_o grace_n and_o to_o bring_v a_o incurable_a hardness_n in_o the_o whole_a soul_n wherever_o faith_n be_v in_o sincerity_n it_o will_v constant_o labour_v endeavour_n and_o strive_v to_o fill_v up_o all_o duty_n of_o divine_a worship_n with_o the_o live_n real_a heart-acting_a of_o grace_n and_o where_o it_o do_v not_o so_o where_o this_o be_v not_o attain_v it_o will_v never_o
