view_v it_o they_o do_v see_v it_o so_o and_o rejoice_v in_o it_o there_o be_v indeed_o some_o kind_n of_o assurance_n that_o be_v more_o rare_a and_o extraordinary_a some_o immediate_a glance_n or_o ask_v he_o it_o may_v be_v he_o will_v tell_v you_o he_o have_v cleanse_v his_o heart_n but_o believe_v he_o not_o it_o will_v appear_v he_o be_v not_o yet_o cleanse_v because_o he_o say_v he_o have_v do_v it_o himself_o for_o you_o know_v there_o must_v be_v some_o other_o beside_o man_n at_o this_o work_n again_o he_o rise_v no_o high_a than_o nature_n have_v none_o of_o this_o heavenly_a wisdom_n in_o he_o and_o therefore_o be_v without_o this_o purity_n too_o but_o if_o you_o chance_v to_o take_v notice_n of_o some_o well_o skill_a hypocrite_n every_o thing_n you_o meet_v with_o make_v you_o almost_o confident_a that_o there_o be_v purity_n yet_o if_o he_o be_v strict_o put_v to_o it_o he_o may_v make_v some_o good_a account_n of_o the_o pain_n he_o have_v take_v to_o refine_v his_o tongue_n and_o his_o public_a action_n but_o he_o dare_v not_o say_v he_o have_v make_v claan_n his_o heart_n it_o trouble_v his_o peace_n to_o be_v ask_v the_o question_n he_o never_o intend_v to_o banish_v sin_n but_o to_o retire_v it_o to_o his_o innermost_a and_o best_a room_n that_o so_o it_o may_v jewel_n unseen_a within_o he_o and_o where_o then_o shall_v it_o lodge_v but_o in_o his_o heart_n yet_o possible_o because_o what_o be_v outward_a be_v so_o fair_a and_o man_n can_v look_v deep_a to_o contradict_v he_o he_o may_v embolden_v himself_o to_o say_v he_o be_v inward_o suitable_a to_o his_o appearance_n but_o there_o be_v a_o day_n at_o hand_n that_o shall_v to_o his_o endless_a shame_n at_o once_o discover_v both_o his_o secret_a impurity_n and_o his_o impudence_n in_o deny_v it_o after_o these_o there_o follow_v a_o few_o despise_a and_o melancholy_a person_n at_o least_o as_o to_o outward_a appearance_n who_o be_v almost_o always_o hang_v down_o their_o head_n and_o complain_v of_o abundant_a sinfulness_n and_o sure_a purity_n can_v be_v expect_v in_o these_o who_o be_v so_o far_o from_o it_o
by_o their_o own_o confession_n yet_o the_o truth_n be_v that_o such_o purity_n as_o be_v here_o below_o will_v either_o be_v find_v to_o lodge_v among_o these_o or_o no_o where_o be_v not_o deceive_v think_v not_o that_o they_o who_o loathe_v and_o as_o they_o can_v fly_v from_o the_o unholiness_n of_o the_o world_n be_v therefore_o take_v with_o the_o conceit_n of_o their_o own_o holiness_n but_o as_o their_o perfect_a purity_n of_o justification_n be_v by_o christ_n impute_v righteousness_n so_o likewise_o they_o will_v know_v and_o do_v always_o acknowledge_v that_o their_o inherent_a holiness_n be_v from_o above_o too_o from_o the_o same_o fountain_n jesus_n christ_n the_o wisdom_n from_o above_o be_v pure_a this_o their_o engagement_n to_o heaven_n for_o it_o exclude_v vaunt_v and_o boast_v and_o beside_o that_o it_o be_v imperfect_a trouble_a and_o stain_v with_o sin_n which_o be_v enough_o to_o keep_v they_o humble_a their_o daily_a sad_a experience_n will_v not_o suffer_v they_o to_o be_v so_o mistake_v their_o many_o fault_n of_o infirmity_n can_v but_o keep_v they_o from_o this_o presumptuous_a fault_n there_o be_v a_o generation_n indeed_o that_o be_v pure_a in_o their_o own_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d prov._n 30._o 12._o but_o they_o be_v such_o as_o be_v not_o washen_v from_o their_o filthiness_n they_o that_o be_v wash_v be_v still_o bewail_v that_o they_o again_o contract_v so_o much_o defilement_n the_o most_o purify_a christian_n be_v they_o that_o be_v most_o sensible_a of_o their_o impurity_n therefore_o i_o call_v not_o this_o a_o universal_a freedom_n from_o pollution_n but_o a_o universal_a detestation_n of_o it_o they_o that_o be_v thus_o pure_a be_v daily_o defile_v with_o many_o sin_n but_o they_o can_v be_v then_o best_a content_v when_o his_o eye_n serve_v he_o most_o plentiful_o to_o weep_v out_o the_o stain_n of_o the_o bypass_a day_n yet_o he_o know_v withal_o that_o it_o be_v only_o his_o redeemer_n to_o preach_v that_o be_v himself_o most_o like_o his_o message_n and_o come_v forth_o not_o only_o with_o a_o handful_n of_o this_o seed_n in_o his_o hand_n but_o with_o store_n of_o it_o in_o his_o pick_v it_o away_o to_o take_v they_o off_o from_o all_o reflection_n all_o serious_a thought_n or_o the_o remembrance_n of_o any_o thing_n speak_v to_o they_o and_o if_o any_o common_a word_n be_v will_v remain_v a_o while_n in_o the_o imagination_n but_o not_o long_o even_o that_o wear_v out_o and_o be_v forget_v so_o here_o it_o be_v hear_v with_o joy_n and_o some_o be_v spring_v up_o present_o they_o commend_v it_o and_o it_o may_v be_v repeat_v some_o passage_n yea_o possible_o desire_v to_o be_v like_o it_o to_o have_v such_o and_o such_o grace_n as_o be_v recommend_v and_o pretension_n for_o place_n and_o employment_n of_o gain_n or_o credit_n husband_n and_o wife_n and_o child_n and_o house_n and_o train_z our_o feast_n and_o entertainment_n and_o other_o pleasure_n of_o sense_n our_o civility_n and_o compliment_n and_o a_o world_n of_o those_o in_o all_o the_o world_n be_v these_o thorn_n and_o they_o overspread_v all_o the_o lust_n of_o the_o eye_n the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o pride_n of_o life_n and_o for_o how_o long_o be_v all_o the_o advantage_n and_o and_o delight_n of_o these_o alas_o that_o so_o poor_a thing_n shall_v prejudice_v we_o of_o the_o rich_a and_o bless_a increase_n of_o this_o divine_a seed_n the_o last_o be_v good_a ground_n a_o good_a and_o honest_a heart_n not_o much_o fineness_n here_o not_o many_o question_n and_o
