willing_a to_o put_v away_o all_o his_o sin_n and_o willing_a to_o accept_v the_o sincerity_n of_o his_o obedience_n though_o there_o be_v not_o a_o perfection_n of_o obedience_n now_o he_o begin_v to_o change_v his_o opinion_n both_o of_o god_n and_o of_o all_o his_o law_n and_o precept_n when_o he_o see_v god_n kindness_n towards_o he_o and_o his_o compassion_n and_o readiness_n to_o forgive_v lively_a nature_n but_o many_o time_n we_o may_v be_v deceive_v in_o that_o a_o woman_n many_o time_n think_v she_o be_v with_o child_n but_o if_o she_o find_v no_o motion_n nor_o stir_v it_o be_v a_o moreover_o i_o will_v establish_v my_o covenant_n between_o i_o and_o thou_o and_o thy_o seed_n after_o thou_o in_o their_o generation_n for_o a_o everlasting_a covenant_n to_o be_v a_o god_n to_o thou_o and_o to_o thy_o seed_n after_o thou_o that_o be_v as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v first_o i_o be_o not_o only_o willing_a to_o make_v it_o with_o thou_o but_o with_o thy_o seed_n second_o i_o will_v not_o make_v a_o temporary_a covenant_n but_o a_o everlasting_a covenant_n there_o shall_v be_v a_o mutual_a engagement_n between_o we_o and_o it_o shall_v continue_v for_o ever_o both_o to_o thyself_o and_o to_o thy_o posterity_n in_o particular_a it_o be_v add_v i_o will_v multiply_v thou_o exceed_o that_o be_v but_o a_o branch_n of_o the_o covenant_n i_o will_v make_v thou_o a_o but_o a_o particular_a whence_o this_o be_v the_o point_n that_o we_o have_v to_o observe_v that_o god_n enter_v into_o covenant_n with_o all_o those_o that_o be_v faithful_a doct._n for_o it_o be_v not_o with_o abraâ—am_n as_o he_o be_v abraham_n but_o as_o he_o be_v a_o faithful_a man_n and_o therefore_o all_o the_o faithful_a be_v reckon_v to_o be_v the_o seed_n of_o abraham_n for_o the_o open_n of_o this_o to_o you_o which_o be_v one_o of_o the_o main_a point_n in_o divinity_n i_o will_v show_v you_o these_o five_o thing_n first_o what_o this_o covenant_n be_v second_o with_o who_o it_o be_v make_v three_o how_o we_o shall_v know_v whether_o we_o be_v in_o the_o covenant_n or_o no._n four_o what_o the_o breach_n of_o this_o covenant_n be_v last_o the_o reason_n why_o god_n be_v willing_a to_o make_v a_o covenant_n with_o man_n 1._o what_o this_o covenant_n be_v grace_n you_o must_v know_v that_o there_o be_v a_o double_a covenant_n there_o be_v a_o covenant_n of_o work_n and_o a_o covenant_n of_o grace_n the_o covenant_n of_o work_n run_v in_o these_o term_n do_v this_o and_o thou_o shall_v live_v and_o i_o will_v be_v thy_o god._n this_o be_v the_o covenant_n that_o and_o be_v able_a to_o describe_v he_o to_o other_o but_o for_o all_o this_o thou_o find_v not_o thy_o heart_n affection_a towards_o he_o thou_o see_v not_o that_o excellency_n and_o beauty_n that_o be_v in_o he_o so_o that_o thy_o heart_n be_v not_o enamour_v with_o he_o thou_o can_v not_o say_v thou_o love_v he_o with_o all_o thy_o heart_n with_o all_o thy_o soul_n and_o with_o all_o thy_o strength_n what_o will_v thou_o do_v in_o this_o case_n go_v to_o christ_n the_o prophet_n and_o beseech_v he_o that_o he_o will_v teach_v thou_o to_o know_v the_o lord_n this_o be_v his_o promise_n that_o teach_v a_o man_n so_o he_o so_o present_v thing_n in_o their_o own_o colour_n to_o the_o understanding_n that_o the_o will_n and_o affection_n follow_v and_o apprehend_v they_o aright_o go_v to_o he_o and_o beseech_v he_o that_o thou_o may_v know_v they_o as_o thou_o ought_v and_o thou_o shall_v find_v that_o thou_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o beaâ—e_v the_o great_a cross_n with_o patience_n thy_o inward_a part_n that_o so_o thou_o may_v be_v indeed_o subject_a to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n in_o a_o willing_a manner_n when_o a_o man_n see_v nothing_o as_o we_o say_v before_o but_o the_o outward_a letter_n of_o the_o law_n he_o will_v never_o be_v subject_a he_o will_v never_o yield_v obedience_n but_o christ_n come_v as_o a_o king_n now_o and_o put_v a_o inward_a disposition_n into_o the_o mind_n that_o shall_v answer_v the_o letter_n without_o and_o so_o he_o make_v a_o man_n subject_n to_o his_o government_n belove_a that_o phrase_n be_v to_o be_v mark_v heb._n 2._o 10._o say_v the_o lord_n i_o will_v put_v my_o law_n into_o their_o mindâ—_n there_o be_v law_n out_o of_o man_n mind_n law_n without_o that_o every_o man_n may_v see_v but_o it_o be_v another_o thing_n to_o have_v the_o law_n put_v into_o a_o man_n mind_n for_o example_n this_o be_v the_o law_n without_o thou_o shall_v love_v the_o lord_n thy_o god_n with_o all_o thy_o heart_n with_o all_o thy_o soul_n and_o with_o all_o thy_o strength_n to_o answer_v which_o you_o shall_v see_v deut._n 30._o 6._o i_o will_v circumcise_v thy_o heart_n and_o then_o thou_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o love_v the_o lord_n thy_o god_n with_o all_o thy_o heart_n and_o with_o all_o thy_o soul_n and_o with_o all_o thy_o strength_n that_o be_v i_o will_v put_v this_o affection_n or_o this_o grace_n of_o love_n peace_n for_o the_o office_n of_o a_o king_n you_o know_v be_v to_o keep_v his_o people_n in_o peace_n as_o it_o be_v say_v of_o saul_n he_o clothe_v they_o with_o scarlet_a that_o be_v he_o make_v
