relation_n of_o a_o mediator_n and_o make_v their_o prayer_n serve_v to_o make_v up_o all_o whereas_o faith_n not_o only_o respect_v christ_n as_o god_n but_o his_o merit_n as_o mediator_n and_o his_o office_n 6._o nor_o be_v faith_n only_o a_o believe_v this_o word_n of_o god_n to_o be_v true_a though_o we_o can_v wish_v many_o be_v come_v that_o length_n it_o will_v make_v a_o man_n tremble_v their_o sin_n and_o misery_n be_v and_o they_o will_v know_v the_o way_n how_o to_o win_v out_o of_o that_o state_n ignorance_n often_o obstruct_v we_o in_o the_o way_n of_o believe_v how_o shall_v they_o believe_v on_o he_o of_o who_o they_o have_v not_o hear_v rom._n 10.14_o when_o folk_n believe_v not_o it_o be_v as_o if_o they_o have_v never_o hear_v 2._o when_o you_o have_v attain_v to_o affect_v we_o we_o will_v seek_v to_o have_v a_o moral_o serious_a feel_n of_o they_o as_o we_o have_v of_o the_o common_a work_n of_o the_o spirit_n but_o there_o be_v many_o like_o the_o way_n sidehearer_n who_o as_o soon_o as_o they_o hear_v the_o word_n some_o devil_n like_o a_o crow_n come_v and_o pick_v it_o up_o therefore_o to_o prevent_v this_o you_o will_v seek_v to_o have_v the_o word_n of_o god_n dwell_v rich_o in_o you_o you_o will_v meditate_v on_o it_o till_o you_o be_v convince_v of_o your_o hazard_n and_o get_v the_o affection_n some_o way_n stir_v according_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o word_n you_o meditate_v upon_o whether_o threaten_n or_o promise_n the_o most_o part_n be_v affect_v with_o nothing_o they_o know_v not_o what_o it_o be_v to_o tremble_v at_o a_o threaten_v nor_o smile_v as_o it_o be_v on_o a_o promise_n through_o their_o not_o dwell_v on_o the_o thought_n of_o the_o word_n that_o it_o may_v produce_v such_o a_o effect_n 4._o when_o this_o be_v do_v folk_n will_v endeavour_v a_o full_a up-giving_a with_o the_o law_n of_o righteousness_n as_o to_o their_o justification_n that_o if_o they_o can_v so_o positive_o and_o stayed_o win_v to_o rest_v on_o jesus_n christ_n and_o his_o righteousness_n yet_o they_o may_v lay_v the_o weight_n of_o their_o peace_n with_o god_n on_o no_o other_o thing_n they_o will_v lay_v it_o down_o for_o a_o certain_a conclusion_n that_o by_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n they_o can_v never_o be_v justify_v and_o will_v come_v with_o a_o stopped_a mouth_n before_o god_n thus_o tender_a christian_n will_v find_v it_o sometime_o easy_o to_o give_v up_o with_o the_o law_n then_o to_o close_v with_o the_o gospel_n as_o to_o their_o distinct_a apprehension_n of_o the_o thing_n 5._o when_o this_o be_v do_v go_v as_o it_o be_v to_o the_o top_n of_o mount_n nebo_n and_o take_v a_o look_n of_o the_o pleasant_a land_n of_o promise_n and_o of_o christ_n hold_v out_o in_o they_o and_o let_v your_o soul_n say_v o_o to_o have_v the_o bargain_n well_o close_v to_o have_v my_o heart_n stir_v up_o to_o love_v he_o and_o to_o rest_v upon_o he_o o_o to_o have_v faith_n and_o to_o discern_v it_o in_o its_o act_n for_o when_o the_o life_n of_o faith_n be_v so_o weak_a that_o it_o can_v speak_v yet_o it_o may_v breath_n and_o though_o you_o can_v exercise_v faith_n as_o you_o will_v so_o as_o to_o grip_v
