excess_n have_v as_o thou_o may_v see_v good_a reader_n cause_v i_o to_o lengthen_v out_o this_o argument_n as_o if_o i_o have_v not_o only_o treat_v about_o marriage_n providence_n but_o providence_n in_o the_o general_a &_o the_o contrary_a thereto_o but_o i_o hope_v that_o some_o may_v light_v upon_o what_o i_o have_v say_v &_o amend_v thus_o much_o for_o the_o use_n of_o reproof_n use_v 2_o of_o the_o sin_n of_o improvidence_n let_v they_o learn_v the_o contrary_n and_o so_o shall_v they_o as_o much_o as_o in_o they_o lie_v build_v up_o the_o house_n give_v good_a example_n to_o their_o wife_n to_o do_v the_o like_a within_o serve_v god_n with_o cheerfulness_n and_o enjoy_v the_o fruit_n of_o their_o travail_n with_o contentedness_n when_o the_o slothful_a and_o prodigal_a shall_v perish_v and_o vanish_v and_o for_o this_o second_o peculiar_a duty_n of_o the_o husband_n viz._n providence_n so_o much_o and_o for_o this_o chapter_n chap._n xii_o treat_v of_o the_o three_o and_o last_o personal_a office_n of_o the_o man_n honour_n of_o respectiveness_n to_o his_o wife_n now_o i_o proceed_v to_o the_o three_o and_o last_o duty_n of_o the_o husband_n towards_o his_o wife_n respectiveness_n which_o be_v honour_n and_o due_a respect_n to_o his_o wife_n the_o ground_n of_o which_o be_v the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n 23._o by_o which_o they_o be_v make_v one_o flesh_n for_o so_o say_v moses_n when_o the_o lord_n have_v bring_v the_o woman_n to_o adam_n he_o embrace_v she_o say_v this_o be_v bone_n of_o my_o bone_n and_o flesh_n of_o my_o flesh_n she_o shall_v be_v call_v the_o like_a tie_n of_o tenderness_n towards_o he_o but_o we_o must_v know_v this_o first_o lie_v upon_o the_o man_n to_o her_o ward_n because_o he_o be_v the_o root_n of_o the_o relation_n we_o say_v that_o love_n descend_v from_o the_o father_n to_o the_o child_n because_o he_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o the_o reference_n not_o but_o that_o mutualnesse_n be_v require_v but_o the_o original_a root_n must_v first_o impart_v himself_o now_o upon_o this_o root_n of_o union_n the_o apostle_n enforce_v this_o duty_n no_o man_n ever_o hate_v his_o own_o flesh_n but_o nourish_v &_o theri_fw-la it_o be_v in_o the_o body_n union_n of_o part_n cause_v sameness_n and_o uniform_a subsist_v in_o one_o procure_v a_o exceed_a tenderness_n compassion_n and_o sympathy_n betwixt_o each_o member_n so_o that_o although_o the_o foot_n stumble_v and_o give_v the_o body_n a_o fall_n yet_o a_o man_n
