the_o heart_n be_v humble_v for_o sin_n thus_o against_o god_n for_o suppose_v god_n come_v in_o and_o gracious_o tell_v the_o soul_n though_o thou_o have_v wrong_v i_o yet_o through_o the_o mediation_n of_o my_o son_n i_o will_v forgive_v thou_o will_v this_o quiet_a the_o soul_n so_o as_o it_o will_v be_v no_o more_o trouble_v and_o sorry_a for_o sin_n no._n now_o the_o sorrow_n come_v in_o another_o way_n and_o be_v this_o the_o god_n i_o have_v wrong_v the_o gracious_a merciful_a god_n i_o have_v wrong_v that_o notwithstanding_o all_o the_o wrong_n i_o have_v do_v he_o that_o when_o he_o have_v my_o soul_n at_o a_o advantage_n and_o may_v just_o have_v send_v i_o down_o to_o the_o nethermost_a hell_n and_o will_v he_o yet_o pardon_v though_o no_o goodness_n in_o i_o and_o yet_o will_v he_o have_v such_o thought_n of_o mercy_n as_o to_o send_v his_o own_o son_n to_o make_v up_o that_o wrong_n and_o satisfy_v for_o the_o evil_n i_o have_v do_v oh_o now_o the_o heart_n bleed_v afresh_o upon_o this_o and_o mourn_v more_o than_o ever_o it_o do_v before_o many_o can_v say_v of_o this_o that_o after_o they_o have_v apprehend_v their_o sin_n to_o be_v pardon_v than_o their_o soul_n have_v mourn_v and_o melt_v more_o than_o ever_o they_o do_v before_o in_o the_o apprehension_n of_o horror_n and_o fear_n of_o god_n wrath_n and_o all_o upon_o this_o because_o they_o do_v not_o see_v sin_n to_o be_v a_o evil_n only_o as_o it_o bring_v danger_n of_o punishment_n but_o they_o do_v see_v the_o evil_n of_o sin_n as_o against_o a_o god_n as_o i_o have_v wrong_v god_n stroke_n at_o the_o infinite_a glorious_a first-being_a of_o all_o thing_n and_o this_o will_v abide_v upon_o the_o heart_n therefore_o this_o be_v another_o manner_n of_o trouble_n for_o sin_n than_o the_o other_o and_o because_o this_o trouble_n for_o sin_n be_v so_o effectual_a and_o so_o good_a therefore_o it_o be_v that_o i_o have_v endeavour_v the_o more_o to_o open_v unto_o you_o how_o sin_n be_v against_o god_n therefore_o when_o i_o come_v to_o the_o other_o to_o show_v how_o it_o be_v against_o ourselves_o i_o shall_v be_v but_o brief_a in_o that_o because_o i_o know_v that_o this_o be_v the_o principal_a 4_o the_o trouble_n for_o sin_n if_o it_o be_v apprehend_v evil_a any_o other_o way_n but_o this_o or_o if_o this_o be_v not_o chief_a can_v be_v so_o good_a because_o there_o be_v no_o trouble_n for_o sin_n but_o this_o that_o ever_o will_v make_v a_o devorce_n between_o sin_n and_o the_o soul_n all_o other_o trouble_n will_v not_o do_v it_o unless_o this_o come_v in_o and_o indeed_o it_o be_v to_o admiration_n to_o consider_v how_o strong_a the_o union_n between_o sin_n and_o the_o soul_n be_v and_o how_o hard_o to_o make_v the_o devorce_n that_o take_v a_o man_n or_o a_o woman_n that_o apprehend_v never_o so_o much_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n against_o sin_n

know_v not_o the_o excellency_n of_o man_n they_o know_v not_o wherein_o the_o excellency_n of_o the_o rational_a creature_n consist_v and_o therefore_o they_o be_v not_o ashamed_a of_o that_o which_o bring_v they_o under_o the_o excellency_n of_o the_o rational_a creature_n beside_o they_o know_v not_o god_n infinite_a holiness_n therefore_o be_v not_o ashamed_a they_o be_v now_o among_o other_o sinner_n and_o they_o think_v though_o some_o seem_v to_o be_v religious_a yet_o they_o think_v other_o be_v as_o bad_a as_o themselves_o in_o their_o heart_n at_o least_o though_o not_o in_o practice_n as_o nero_n because_o he_o be_v bad_a he_o think_v other_o be_v as_o bad_a as_o himself_o so_o a_o wicked_a man_n when_o he_o can_v see_v other_o break_v out_o in_o such_o great_a sin_n as_o he_o do_v yet_o he_o think_v they_o be_v as_o bad_a some_o other_o way_n and_o have_v some_o other_o sin_n as_o great_a and_o because_o they_o live_v among_o they_o that_o be_v as_o bad_a as_o themselves_o and_o live_v in_o the_o same_o sin_n therefore_o they_o be_v not_o ashamed_a for_o as_o a_o collier_n live_v among_o collier_n be_v not_o ashamed_a but_o if_o he_o live_v among_o prince_n and_o nobleman_n he_o will_v be_v ashamed_a so_o wicked_a man_n in_o this_o world_n because_o they_o live_v in_o this_o world_n among_o sinner_n they_o conceive_v to_o be_v sinner_n like_o themselves_o they_o be_v not_o ashamed_a but_o when_o god_n shall_v come_v to_o open_v what_o sin_n mean_v and_o what_o the_o holiness_n of_o god_n mean_n and_o they_o see_v themselves_o stand_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o holy_a god_n than_o they_o will_v be_v ashamed_a but_o certain_o sin_n be_v a_o greater-shame_n than_o affliction_n none_o need_v be_v ashamed_a of_o affliction_n any_o further-than_a it_o have_v a_o connexion_n to_o some_o great_a sin_n but_o sin_n in_o the_o great_a prosperity_n have_v shame_n with_o it_o chap._n thirty-nine_o he_o that_o sin_n wrong_v despise_v and_o hate_v his_o own_o soul_n use_v 1_o then_o see_v the_o malitiousness_n that_o be_v in_o sin_n use_v 2._o to_o pity_v those_o that_o go_v on_o in_o sinful_a way_n use_v 3_o let_v sin_n be_v deal_v hardly_o with_o thus_o we_o have_v discover_v how_o sin_n make_v more_o against_o our_o good_a than_o affliction_n do_v now_o there_o be_v divers_a thing_n which_o follow_v hence_o as_o expression_n if_o any_o minister_n shall_v say_v thus_o to_o you_o you_o love_v death_n you_o will_v think_v it_o a_o rash_a speech_n from_o we_o the_o holy_a ghost_n say_v so_o of_o all_o that_o hate_v instruction_n if_o there_o be_v any_o truth_n of_o god_n reveal_v against_o sin_n and_o thy_o heart_n rise_v against_o it_o thou_o love_v death_n thy_o own_o ruin_n and_o thy_o own_o destruction_n and_o what_o pity_n be_v it_o for_o man_n and_o woman_n to_o die_v who_o can_v pity_v they_o that_o die_v eternal_o when_o as_o they_o love_v death_n if_o they_o love_v death_n they_o than_o heaven_n and_o earth_n but_o though_o the_o mean_a here_o have_v a_o soul_n more_o worth_a than_o the_o world_n yet_o we_o see_v it_o ordinary_a that_o to_o get_v twopence_n or_o a_o groat_n they_o will_v venture_v the_o ruin_n of_o their_o soul_n be_v not_o this_o to_o despise_v their_o soul_n as_o if_o they_o be_v not_o worth_a a_o groat_n or_o sixpence_n and_o they_o will_v lie_v or_o steal_v to_o get_v that_o which_o be_v less_o nay_o not_o only_o so_o but_o they_o be_v hater_n of_o their_o own_o soul_n and_o this_o you_o have_v prov._n 29._o 24._o he_o that_o be_v partner_n with_o a_o thief_n hate_v his_o own_o soul_n there_o be_v a_o instance_n in_o that_o one_o sin_n but_o it_o be_v true_a of_o every_o sin_n for_o this_o must_v be_v take_v as_o a_o rule_n to_o help_v you_o to_o understand_v the_o evil_n of_o sin_n know_v what_o be_v say_v of_o any_o one_o sin_n be_v virtual_o true_a of_o all_o that_o evil_n which_o be_v in_o any_o one_o sin_n be_v virtual_o in_o any_o sin_n he_o hate_v his_o own_o soul_n that_o go_v on_o in_o any_o one_o sin_n therefore_o if_o you_o will_v provide_v for_o your_o own_o good_a you_o must_v abandon_v sin_n object_n but_o it_o may_v be_v say_v be_v that_o lawful_a for_o a_o man_n to_o abstain_v from_o sin_n out_o of_o self_n respect_n for_o this_o i_o be_o upon_o i_o be_o show_v how_o sin_n be_v against_o ourselves_o and_o therefore_o urge_v you_o to_o abandon_v and_o take_v heed_n of_o sin_n as_o it_o be_v against_o ourselves_o then_o this_o question_n arise_v what_o shall_v we_o abstain_v from_o sin_n out_o of_o soul_n god_n do_v usual_o move_v we_o from_o self_n most_o and_o these_o self_n ground_n work_v most_o to_o take_v man_n and_o woman_n off_o from_o the_o act_n of_o their_o sin_n from_o outward_a act_n at_o least_o and_o to_o stop_v they_o from_o the_o commission_n of_o sin_n and_o bring_v they_o to_o the_o mean_n of_o grace_n self_n motive_n god_n make_v use_v of_o at_o first_o but_o yet_o the_o work_n be_v not_o do_v till_o the_o soul_n go_v beyond_o these_o it_o be_v good_a for_o man_n and_o woman_n to_o abstain_v from_o sin_n upon_o any_o ground_n there_o be_v so_o much_o evil_n in_o sin_n that_o upon_o any_o ground_n man_n and_o woman_n abstain_v from_o sin_n it_o be_v well_o but_o only_o except_o it_o be_v such_o a_o ground_n that_o the_o ground_n itself_o be_v a_o great_a sin_n than_o the_o sin_n i_o abstain_v from_o but_o yet_o the_o work_n be_v not_o do_v therefore_o 2._o know_v that_o though_o when_o grace_n be_v come_v
