the_o former_a part_n of_o the_o psalm_n we_o have_v have_v the_o description_n of_o christ_n office_n of_o king_n and_o priest_n together_o with_o the_o effect_n thereof_o in_o gather_v a_o willing_a people_n unto_o himself_o now_o here_o the_o prophet_n show_v another_o effect_n of_o the_o powerful_a administration_n of_o these_o office_n contain_v his_o victory_n over_o all_o his_o enemy_n allegorical_o express_v in_o a_o hypotiposis_n or_o lively_a allusion_n unto_o the_o manner_n of_o humane_a victory_n wherein_o first_o i_o shall_v in_o a_o few_o word_n labour_v to_o clear_v the_o sense_n and_o then_o the_o observation_n which_o be_v natural_a will_v the_o more_o evident_o arise_v the_o lord_n at_o thy_o right_a hand_n to_o lay_v aside_o their_o exposition_n who_o understand_v these_o word_n of_o god_n the_o father_n the_o word_n be_v a_o apostrophe_n of_o the_o prophet_n to_o those_o at_o who_o right_a hand_n the_o lord_n jesus_n be_v some_o make_v it_o a_o apostrophe_n to_o god_n the_o father_n a_o triumphal_a and_o thankful_a prediction_n of_o that_o power_n and_o judgement_n which_o he_o have_v give_v to_o this_o his_o benjamin_n the_o son_n at_o his_o right_a hand_n because_o that_o thereby_o the_o phrase_n retain_v the_o same_o signification_n and_o sense_n which_o it_o have_v in_o the_o first_o verse_n as_o if_o david_n have_v say_v o_o god_n the_o father_n of_o all_o power_n and_o majesty_n worthy_a art_n thou_o of_o all_o praise_n thanksgiving_n and_o honour_n who_o have_v give_v such_o power_n to_o thy_o son_n in_o the_o behalf_n of_o thy_o church_n as_o to_o smite_v through_o king_n and_o judge_v heathen_a and_o pull_v down_o the_o chief_a of_o his_o enemy_n and_o to_o subdue_v all_o thing_n to_o himself_o and_o these_o read_v it_o thus_o o_o lord_n he_o that_o be_v at_o thy_o right_a hand_n shall_v strike_v through_o king_n etc._n etc._n other_o make_v it_o to_o be_v a_o apostrophe_n to_o the_o church_n and_o so_o to_o be_v a_o phrase_n not_o express_v christ_n exaltation_n as_o verse_n 1._o but_o his_o care_n and_o protection_n over_o his_o church_n his_o readiness_n to_o assist_v and_o defend_v his_o own_o people_n against_o all_o the_o injury_n and_o assault_n of_o adverse_a power_n solomon_n say_v a_o wise_a man_n heart_n be_v at_o his_o right_a hand_n but_o a_o fool_n heart_n be_v at_o his_o left_a eccl._n 10.2_o that_o be_v his_o heart_n be_v ready_a and_o prepare_v to_o execute_v any_o wife_n counsel_n or_o godly_a resolution_n as_o the_o prophet_n david_n say_v my_o heart_n be_v prepare_v o_o god_n expression_n as_o i_o conceive_v be_v these_o two_o first_o to_o note_v that_o christ_n power_n providence_n and_o protection_n do_v not_o exclude_v but_o only_o strengthen_v assist_v and_o prosper_v the_o ordinary_a and_o just_a endeavour_n of_o the_o church_n
