their_o poor_a brethren_n to_o pine_v away_o and_o starve_v for_o want_v of_o necessary_n and_o on_o the_o contrary_n excite_v they_o to_o the_o diligent_a and_o constant_a practice_n of_o all_o honest_a virtuous_a pious_a just_a charitable_a good_a and_o conscionable_a live_n to_o the_o exercise_v mercy_n love_n and_o peace_n towards_o all_o man_n and_o to_o a_o despise_n of_o the_o riches_n honour_n and_o glory_n of_o this_o world_n show_v they_o the_o vanity_n and_o deceitfulness_n of_o they_o and_o the_o many_o thousand_o great_a evil_n and_o mischief_n which_o they_o certain_o bring_v pious_a honest_a just_a and_o good_a man_n full_a of_o all_o courteous_a and_o civil_a deportment_n towards_o all_o both_o at_o home_n and_o abroad_o which_o will_v be_v no_o small_a ornament_n honour_n &_o benefit_n both_o to_o the_o place_n wherein_o they_o live_v and_o to_o the_o commonwealth_n whereof_o they_o be_v member_n and_o now_o for_o further_a illustration_n of_o the_o point_n in_o hand_n let_v we_o consider_v that_o when_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n come_v to_o the_o prophet_n of_o old_a and_o when_o they_o have_v deliver_v it_o as_o god_n word_n to_o they_o to_o who_o it_o be_v send_v and_o when_o it_o have_v dispatch_v the_o business_n for_o which_o it_o come_v then_o and_o not_o till_o then_o both_o it_o and_o its_o event_n be_v record_v and_o so_o become_v scripture_n now_o though_o it_o be_v the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n both_o when_o it_o come_v and_o when_o it_o be_v deliver_v to_o they_o to_o who_o it_o be_v send_v yet_o it_o may_v be_v question_v whether_o it_o continue_v so_o in_o the_o write_n of_o it_o i_o will_v instance_n only_o in_o the_o prophet_n jonah_n to_o who_o the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n come_v command_v he_o to_o arise_v and_o go_v to_o nineveh_n and_o to_o cry_v and_o preach_v against_o it_o these_o word_n viz._n yet_o forty_o day_n and_o nineveh_n shall_v be_v overthrow_v he_o go_v and_o do_v so_o whereupon_o they_o repent_v all_o which_o be_v afterward_o write_v and_o so_o become_v scripture_n but_o if_o the_o same_o prophet_n in_o like_a manner_n have_v preach_v the_o same_o word_n to_o the_o same_o city_n god_n by_o because_o that_o may_v be_v the_o effect_n of_o some_o pride_n or_o vain_a desire_n of_o worldly_a glory_n or_o of_o some_o other_o lust_n secret_o lurk_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n undiscerned_a for_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n be_v deceitful_a above_o all_o thing_n who_o then_o can_v know_v his_o own_o heart_n or_o the_o secret_a turn_n thereof_o jer._n 17.9.10.11_o or_o who_o
