constitution_n suffer_v from_o man_n who_o be_v enemy_n upon_o a_o pretence_n of_o conscience_n and_o religion_n and_o here_o i_o may_v bring_v you_o a_o catalogue_n of_o various_a sect_n and_o party_n of_o man_n who_o though_o they_o can_v agree_v among_o themselves_o when_o they_o come_v to_o divide_v the_o church_n spoil_n yet_o all_o combine_v together_o to_o make_v the_o church_n itself_o their_o spoil_n and_o in_o pursuit_n of_o this_o by_o what_o name_n do_v they_o describe_v this_o excellent_a church_n in_o their_o prayer_n and_o preachment_n but_o by_o the_o whore_n of_o babylon_n the_o cruel_a dragon_n that_o pour_v out_o flood_n of_o poisonous_a water_n upon_o the_o woman_n the_o slayer_n of_o the_o witness_n with_o many_o other_o of_o this_o nature_n and_o her_o pious_a prayer_n must_v be_v scorn_v under_o the_o notion_n of_o dull_a and_o formal_a thing_n fit_a for_o dark_a time_n and_o for_o none_o to_o use_v but_o such_o as_o understand_v not_o the_o impression_n of_o god_n good_a spirit_n and_o her_o reverend_a prelate_n instead_o of_o the_o ancient_a and_o primitive_a appellation_n of_o father_n must_v be_v brand_v with_o the_o name_n of_o step-fathers_n instead_o of_o pillar_n caterpillar_n who_o house_n be_v haunt_v and_o their_o episcopal_a chair_n poison_v by_o the_o spirit_n that_o bear_v rule_v in_o the_o air._n and_o for_o her_o ceremony_n they_o forsooth_o must_v be_v report_v to_o be_v keep_v on_o foot_n on_o purpose_n to_o symbolize_v with_o and_o show_v our_o affection_n to_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n and_o this_o must_v be_v say_v with_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o confidence_n notwithstanding_o the_o man_n that_o suggest_v it_o know_v and_o be_v convince_v at_o the_o same_o time_n that_o no_o man_n of_o any_o profession_n whatever_o have_v thrust_v sharp_a dart_n into_o the_o side_n of_o that_o pretend_a catholic_n mother_n then_o the_o son_n of_o the_o church_n have_v do_v and_o though_o i_o know_v this_o look_n very_o disingenous_o and_o i_o think_v i_o have_v not_o wrong_v my_o charity_n if_o i_o have_v say_v dishonest_o yet_o nothing_o be_v more_o common_a among_o man_n who_o study_v the_o interest_n of_o a_o party_n and_o be_v resolve_v to_o six_o themselves_o if_o possible_a in_o the_o chair_n of_o authority_n and_o government_n the_o most_o useful_a virtue_n must_v be_v make_v vice_n and_o worthy_a action_n that_o serve_v the_o public_a and_o argue_v a_o true_a generosity_n of_o mind_n in_o he_o that_o do_v they_o yet_o must_v be_v misconstrue_v and_o the_o principle_n of_o the_o action_n censure_v and_o some_o circumstance_n or_o other_o thrust_v into_o they_o whereby_o the_o credit_n of_o they_o may_v be_v blast_v thus_o when_o archbishop_n land_n take_v care_n for_o prevent_v the_o subversion_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n by_o the_o spread_a of_o the_o socinian_n heresy_n in_o suppress_v book_n of_o that_o nature_n mr._n burton_n charge_v it_o as_o one_o of_o his_o crime_n upon_o he_o reproach_v he_o for_o suppress_v those_o book_n for_o no_o other_o reason_n but_o because_o they_o magnify_v the_o authority_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n a_o censure_n as_o full_a of_o spite_n and_o evil_a nature_n as_o most_o i_o have_v meet_v withal_o but_o thus_o it_o be_v and_z as_o far_o as_o i_o can_v see_v into_o affair_n and_o temper_n will_v be_v so_o long_o as_o some_o design_n be_v on_o foot_n and_o some_o sort_n of_o spirit_n be_v permit_v let_v we_o say_v what_o we_o will_v and_o enter_v into_o all_o manner_n of_o serious_a protestation_n that_o we_o be_v no_o papist_n neither_o aim_v at_o the_o introduction_n of_o popery_n in_o the_o least_o let_v the_o member_n of_o our_o church_n write_v with_o never_o so_o much_o strength_n and_o weight_n against_o the_o innovation_n of_o that_o church_n nay_o let_v the_o life_n of_o our_o church_n be_v begin_v in_o the_o death_n of_o many_o worthy_n for_o their_o resolve_a and_o steadfast_a opposition_n to_o that_o church_n why_o yet_o that_o we_o be_v papist_n or_o else_o inclinable_a thereunto_o be_v a_o pretty_a way_n to_o convey_v prejudices_fw-la into_o the_o common_a people_n against_o we_o and_o to_o draw_v off_o their_o affection_n to_o our_o person_n that_o thereby_o they_o may_v the_o more_o easy_o be_v allure_v from_o our_o doctrine_n and_o public_a administration_n why_o to_o this_o good_a end_n and_o that_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n may_v be_v magnify_v and_o the_o power_n of_o his_o pure_a ordinance_n demonstrate_v in_o the_o destruction_n of_o the_o son_n of_o babylon_n we_o must_v be_v papist_n and_o we_o must_v drink_v of_o the_o same_o cup_n of_o fornication_n that_o mother_n of_o harlot_n do_v and_o when_o we_o write_v against_o she_o it_o be_v but_o a_o copy_n of_o our_o countenance_n for_o in_o our_o heart_n we_o be_v for_o rome_n and_o after_o all_o this_o can_v any_o man_n wonder_n that_o a_o church_n so_o batter_v at_o by_o person_n profess_v more_o than_o ordinary_a sanctity_n and_o holiness_n and_o express_v that_o holiness_n by_o so_o many_o formal_a and_o take_a way_n by_o all_o that_o their_o hand_n and_o tongue_n their_o face_n and_o gesture_n be_v capable_a of_o that_o a_o church_n thus_o misrepresent_v and_o withal_o to_o person_n of_o weak_a judgement_n and_o yet_o strong_a conceit_n as_o god_n know_v most_o of_o the_o common_a people_n be_v can_v we_o i_o say_v wonder_v that_o a_o church_n surround_v and_o storm_v by_o such_o enemy_n as_o these_o live_v not_o in_o its_o ancient_a splendour_n in_o its_o just_a and_o due_a esteem_n and_o what_o will_v be_v the_o end_n of_o permit_v all_o this_o though_o i_o must_v confess_v i_o have_v many_o sad_a reflection_n about_o it_o why_o that_o i_o leave_v to_o the_o magistrate_n of_o the_o kingdom_n who_o have_v great_a estate_n to_o preserve_v and_o ancient_a family_n to_o support_v and_o continue_v to_o consider_v of_o and_o thus_o have_v show_v you_o the_o damage_n this_o church_n sustain_v by_o open_a enemy_n we_o will_v now_o proceed_v to_o and_o take_v notice_n of_o the_o injury_n she_o suffer_v from_o false_a friend_n and_o here_o also_o we_o find_v two_o sort_n of_o person_n who_o she_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o be_v proud_a of_o 1._o some_o who_o we_o will_v consider_v as_o person_n in_o their_o political_a capacity_n as_o member_n of_o the_o civil_a body_n and_o two_o way_n the_o church_n suffer_v by_o they_o 1._o by_o their_o vicious_a life_n and_o conversation_n especial_o if_o the_o man_n who_o lead_v these_o life_n be_v man_n of_o and_o both_o my_o function_n and_o education_n oblige_v i_o to_o decency_n both_o in_o my_o word_n and_o carriage_n yet_o give_v i_o leave_v to_o be_v a_o little_a plain_a with_o you_o that_o be_v our_o country_n patriot_n and_o to_o entreat_v you_o all_o who_o by_o the_o good_a like_n of_o our_o great_a lord_n the_o king_n sit_v in_o high_a place_n than_o other_o to_o vindicate_v the_o excellent_a say_v of_o a_o honourable_a person_n some_o year_n ago_o who_o when_o lie_v upon_o his_o deathbed_n do_v thus_o express_v himself_o that_o he_o have_v look_v into_o all_o form_n and_o
