shall_v find_v a_o overflow_a inundation_n of_o water_n of_o comfort_n a_o torrent_n of_o joy_n &_o a_o swift_a gush_a river_n flow_v from_o the_o face_n of_o god_n ezekiel_n see_v a_o book_n write_v without_o and_o within_o intimate_v to_o we_o thereby_o that_o jesus_n christ_n the_o book_n of_o life_n be_v write_v within_o and_o without_o both_o side_n contain_v the_o same_o perfection_n o_o ravish_a book_n o_o miracle_n o_o prodigy_n o_o new_a and_o unusual_a thing_n transcend_v and_o pass_v all_o reason_n and_o far_o surmount_v the_o territory_n of_o man_n capacity_n that_o all_o the_o attribute_n of_o god_n proper_a to_o his_o divine_a majesty_n shall_v be_v describe_v in_o our_o mortal_a flesh_n that_o all_o the_o internal_a perfection_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v depaint_v in_o man_n and_o to_o know_v that_o person_n as_o perfect_a as_o god_n yea_o to_o be_v god_n himself_o o_o book_n i_o say_v beyond_o admiration_n even_o to_o astonishment_n wherein_o the_o eternal_a omnipotency_n be_v describe_v in_o external_a impotency_n immortality_n in_o mortality_n spirit_n in_o body_n glory_n in_o ignominy_n freedom_n in_o bondage_n and_o god_n in_o man._n a_o book_n wisdom_n and_o patience_n of_o the_o saint_n even_o in_o see_v and_o practise_v those_o thing_n which_o belong_v to_o the_o passion_n and_o here_o god_n pr●●●d_v they_o at_o the_o water_n of_o contradiction_n which_o water_n of_o life_n they_o extract_v out_o of_o that_o celestial_a &_o flinty_a rock_n whilst_o they_o smite_v it_o with_o the_o rod_n of_o christian_a discipline_n who_o be_v wis●_n and_o he_o will_v keep_v these_o thing_n it_o may_v true_o be_v say_v that_o 〈◊〉_d book_n and_o passion_n be_v no_o other_o but_o the_o gate_n of_o heaven_n and_o the_o house_n of_o god_n and_o though_o in_o this_o passion_n he_o make_v darkness_n his_o pavilion_n nevertheless_o as_o be_v his_o darkness_n so_o also_o his_o light_n jacob_n ladder_n though_o the_o one_o ●nd_v touch_v heaven_n and_o the_o other_o ●rth_n yet_o both_o make_v but_o one_o lad●er_n even_o so_o the_o person_n of_o jesus_n christ_n which_o live_v on_o earth_n by_o his_o manhood_n and_o endure_v those_o tor●ents_n in_o his_o passion_n be_v no_o other_o ●hen_o that_o selfsame_o second_o person_n ●n_v the_o trinity_n live_v ever_o glorious_a in_o the_o heaven_n moses_n see_v god_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o thorny_a bush_n signify_v to_o we_o that_o god_n himself_o be_v find_v in_o his_o painful_a and_o thorn-crowned_n passion_n and_o not_o to_o be_v seek_v without_o the_o same_o no_o marvel_n then_o if_o saint_n paul_n the_o doctor_n of_o the_o gentile_n and_o trumpet_n of_o truth_n all_o over_o the_o world_n exhaust_v all_o his_o wisdom_n from_o no_o other_o fount_n but_o out_o of_o the_o abyss_n of_o this_o wisdom_n and_o knowledge_n as_o himself_o acknowledge_v say_v i_o desire_v to_o know_v nothing_o among_o you_o but_o jesus_n christ_n crucify_v which_o yet_o be_v so_o far_o from_o vail_v he_o from_o high_a revelation_n that_o as_o himself_o witness_v he_o be_v rapt_v to_o the_o three_o heaven_n whence_o it_o be_v clear_a than_o the_o noonday_n light_n that_o in_o the_o crucify_a manhood_n he_o also_o see_v the_o boundless_a depth_n of_o the_o godhead_n but_o the_o centre_n of_o all_o this_o difficulty_n consist_v in_o the_o right_n send_v forth_o of_o this_o simple_a sight_n whereby_o god_n and_o man_n be_v see_v neither_o omit_v for_o in_o fail_v of_o either_o we_o incur_v a_o like_a loss_n the_o depth_n of_o the_o mystery_n be_v found_v in_o both_o
