his_o gate_n full_a of_o sore_n the_o world_n will_v have_v make_v this_o conclusion_n of_o they_o the_o rich_a man_n be_v the_o happy_a man_n for_o at_o the_o first_o view_n it_o do_v represent_v such_o a_o thing_n but_o take_v all_o together_o that_o be_v read_v the_o whole_a parable_n and_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o there_o be_v no_o man_n in_o a_o worse_a condition_n than_o he_o as_o i_o the_o crumb_n that_o fall_v from_o the_o rich_a man_n table_n the_o rich_a man_n fare_v well_o every_o day_n but_o the_o beggar_n must_v be_v glad_a of_o a_o bit_n when_o he_o can_v get_v it_o oh_o who_o will_v not_o be_v in_o the_o rich_a man_n state_n a_o wealthy_a man_n sort_n of_o new_a suit_n and_o dainty_a dish_n every_o day_n enough_o to_o make_v one_o who_o mind_v nothing_o but_o his_o outward_a appearance_n be_v oft_o time_n the_o most_o excellent_a for_o the_o beggar_n have_v ten_o thousand_o degree_n the_o best_a of_o it_o though_o to_o outward_a appearance_n his_o state_n be_v the_o sad_a from_o whence_o we_o shall_v observe_v thus_o much_o 1._o that_o those_o who_o judge_n according_a to_o outward_a appearance_n do_v for_o the_o most_o part_n judge_v amiss_o joh._n 7._o 24._o 2._o that_o they_o who_o look_v upon_o their_o outward_a enjoyment_n to_o be_v token_n of_o god_n special_a grace_n unto_o they_o be_v also_o deceive_v rev._n 3._o 17._o for_o as_o it_o be_v here_o in_o the_o parable_n a_o man_n of_o wealth_n and_o a_o child_n of_o the_o devil_n may_v make_v but_o one_o
person_n or_o a_o man_n may_v have_v abundance_n of_o outward_a enjoyment_n and_o yet_o be_v carry_v by_o the_o devil_n into_o eternal_a burn_n luke_n 12._o 20._o but_o this_o be_v the_o trap_n in_o which_o the_o devil_n have_v catch_v many_o thousand_o of_o poor_a soul_n namely_o by_o get_v they_o to_o judge_n according_a to_o outward_a appearance_n or_o according_a to_o god_n outward_a blessing_n do_v but_o ask_v a_o poor_a carnal_a covetous_a wretch_n how_o we_o shall_v know_v a_o man_n to_o be_v in_o a_o happy_a estate_n and_o he_o will_v answer_v those_o that_o god_n bless_v and_o give_v abundance_n of_o this_o world_n unto_o when_o for_o the_o most_o part_n they_o be_v they_o that_o be_v the_o curse_a man_n alas_o poor_a man_n they_o be_v so_o ignorant_a as_o to_o think_v that_o because_o a_o man_n be_v increase_v in_o outward_a thing_n and_o that_o by_o a_o small_a stock_n therefore_o god_n do_v love_v that_o man_n with_o a_o special_a love_n or_o else_o he_o will_v never_o do_v so_o much_o for_o he_o never_o bless_v he_o so_o and_o prosper_v the_o work_n of_o his_o hand_n ah_o poor_a soul_n it_o be_v the_o rich_a man_n that_o go_v to_o hell_n and_o the_o outward_a appearance_n they_o look_v upon_o themselves_o to_o be_v the_o only_o bless_a man_n when_o the_o lord_n know_v the_o generality_n be_v leave_v out_o of_o that_o bless_a condition_n not_o many_o wise_a man_n after_o the_o flesh_n not_o many_o mighty_a not_o many_o noble_a be_v call_v 1_o cor._n 1._o 26._o ah_o do_v they_o that_o do_v now_o so_o brâ—g_v that_o no_o body_n dare_v scarce_o look_v on_o they_o but_o believe_v this_o it_o will_v make_v they_o hang_v down_o their_o head_n and_o cry_v o_o give_v i_o a_o lazarus_n portion_n i_o may_v here_o enlarge_v very_o much_o thing_n they_o spend_v most_o of_o their_o time_n in_o lust_n drunkenness_n wantonness_n idleness_n together_o with_o the_o other_o work_v of_o the_o flesh_n for_o which_o thing_n sake_n the_o wrath_n of_o god_n come_v upon_o the_o child_n of_o disobedience_n col._n 3._o 6._o 3._o because_o he_o will_v comfort_v the_o heart_n of_o his_o own_o which_o be_v most_o common_o of_o the_o poor_a sort_n but_o god_n have_v choose_v the_o poor_a despise_a and_o base_a thing_n of_o this_o world_n 1_o cor._n 1._o 26._o shall_v god_n have_v set_v the_o rich_a man_n in_o the_o bless_a state_n his_o child_n will_v have_v conclude_v be_v poor_a that_o they_o have_v no_o share_n in_o the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o again_o have_v not_o god_n give_v such_o a_o discovery_n of_o the_o sad_a condition_n of_o those_o that_o be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n rich_a man_n we_o shall_v have_v have_v man_n conclude_v absolute_o that_o the_o rich_a be_v the_o bless_a man_n nay_o albeit_o the_o lord_n himself_o do_v so_o evident_o declare_v that_o the_o rich_a one_o of_o the_o world_n be_v for_o the_o most_o part_n in_o the_o sad_a condition_n yet_o they_o through_o unbelief_n or_o else_o presumption_n do_v harden_v themselves_o and_o seek_v for_o the_o glory_n of_o this_o world_n as_o though_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n do_v not_o mean_n as_o he_o say_v or_o else_o that_o he_o will_v say_v more_o than_o shall_v assure_o come_v to_o pass_v but_o let_v they_o know_v that_o the_o lord_n have_v a_o time_n to_o fulfil_v that_o he_o have_v a_o time_n to_o declare_v for_o the_o scripture_n can_v be_v break_v joh._n 10._o 35._o but_o again_o the_o lord_n by_o this_o word_n do_v not_o mean_v those_o be_v ungodly_a who_o be_v rich_a in_o the_o world_n and_o no_o other_o for_o than_o must_v all_o be_v in_o this_o world_n be_v attend_v with_o many_o evil_n or_o affliction_n which_o may_v be_v discover_v to_o be_v of_o divers_a nature_n as_o say_v the_o scripture_n many_o be_v the_o trouble_n of_o the_o righteous_a but_o the_o lord_n deliver_v he_o out_o of_o all_o 2._o take_v notice_n that_o the_o affliction_n or_o evil_n that_o accompany_v the_o saint_n may_v continue_v with_o they_o their_o life-time_n so_o long_o as_o they_o live_v in_o this_o vale_n of_o tear_n yea_o and_o they_o may_v be_v divers_a that_o be_v of_o several_a sort_n some_o outward_a some_o inward_a and_o that_o as_o long_o as_o they_o shall_v continue_v here_o below_o as_o have_v be_v the_o experience_n of_o all_o saint_n in_o all_o age_n and_o this_o may_v be_v prove_v at_o large_a but_o i_o only_a hint_n in_o these_o thing_n although_o i_o may_v enlarge_v much_o upon_o they_o 3._o the_o evil_n that_o do_v accompany_v the_o saint_n will_v continue_v with_o they_o no_o long_o than_o their_o life-time_n and_o here_o indeed_o lie_v the_o comfort_n of_o believer_n the_o lazarus_n the_o saint_n they_o must_v have_v all_o their_o bitter_a cup_n wring_v out_o to_o they_o in_o their_o life-time_n here_o must_v be_v all_o their_o trouble_n here_o must_v be_v all_o their_o grief_n behold_v say_v christ_n the_o world_n shall_v rejoice_v but_o you_o shall_v lament_v but_o your_o mourning_n shall_v mark_v it_o shall_v be_v turn_v into_o joy_n joh._n 16._o 2._o you_o shall_v lament_v you_o shall_v be_v sorrowful_a you_o shall_v weep_v in_o your_o life-time_n but_o your_o sorrow_n shall_v be_v turn_v that_o though_o the_o saint_n have_v all_o their_o evil_a thing_n in_o their_o life-time_n yet_o even_o in_o their_o life-time_n they_o have_v also_o joy_v unspeakable_a and_o full_a of_o glory_n while_o they_o look_v not_o at_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v see_v but_o at_o the_o thing_n which_o be_v not_o see_v the_o joy_n that_o the_o saint_n have_v sometime_o in_o their_o heart_n by_o a_o believe_a consideration_n of_o the_o good_a thing_n to_o come_v when_o this_o life_n be_v end_v do_v fill_v they_o full_a of_o joy_n than_o all_o the_o cross_n trouble_n temptation_n and_o evil_n that_o accompany_v they_o in_o this_o life_n can_v fill_v they_o with_o grief_n 2_o cor._n 4._o but_o some_o saint_n may_v say_v my_o trouble_n be_v such_o as_o be_v ready_a to_o overcome_v i_o answ._n yet_o be_v of_o good_a comfort_n they_o shall_v last_v no_o long_o than_o thy_o life-time_n but_o my_o trouble_n be_v i_o be_o perplex_v with_o a_o heart_n full_a of_o corruption_n and_o sin_n so_o that_o i_o be_o much_o hinder_v in_o walk_v with_o god_n answ._n it_o be_v like_a so_o but_o thou_o shall_v have_v these_o trouble_v no_o long_a than_o thy_o life-time_n but_o i_o have_v a_o cross_a husband_n and_o that_o be_v a_o great_a grief_n to_o i_o well_o but_o thou_o shall_v be_v trouble_v with_o he_o no_o long_o than_o thy_o life-time_n and_o therefore_o be_v not_o dismay_v be_v not_o discomfort_a thou_o shall_v have_v no_o trouble_n long_o than_o this_o life-time_n be_v thou_o trouble_v with_o cross_a child_n cross_a relation_n cross_a neighbour_n they_o shall_v trouble_v thou_o no_o long_o than_o this_o life-time_n be_v thou_o trouble_v with_o a_o cunning_a devil_n with_o unbelief_n yea_o let_v it_o be_v what_o it_o will_v thou_o shall_v take_v thy_o farewell_n of_o they_o all_o if_o thou_o be_v a_o believer_n after_o thy_o life-time_n be_v end_v o_o excellent_a then_o god_n shall_v wipe_v away_o all_o tear_n from_o your_o eye_n there_o shall_v be_v no_o more_o
