fail_n 3._o it_o be_v his_o love_n not_o his_o weakness_n that_o make_v he_o command_v other_o to_o h●l●_z his_o church_n and_o therefore_o their_o neglect_n shall_v not_o can_v weaken_v his_o love_n but_o rather_o glorify_v it_o he_o see_v that_o there_o be_v no_o man_n and_o wonder_v that_o there_o be_v no_o intercessor_n therefore_o his_o own_o arm_n bring_v salvation_n to_o he_o and_o his_o righteousness_n it_o sustain_v he_o etc._n etc._n isaiah_n 59_o 16._o and_o then_o by_o and_o by_o v._n 20._o and_o the_o redeemer_n shall_v come_v to_o zion_n and_o 〈◊〉_d they_o that_o turn_v from_o she_o but_o god_n will_v raise_v it_o up_o some_o way_n or_o other_o to_o resolve_v this_o most_o important_a question_n let_v i_o first_o clear_o state_n it_o and_o then_o propound_v such_o ground_n as_o may_v give_v some_o light_n what_o to_o build_v upon_o concerning_o it_o first_o than_o the_o question_n be_v not_o whether_o the_o enemy_n of_o the_o church_n may_v not_o yet_o prevail_v upon_o we_o further_o than_o they_o have_v hitherto_o state_v negative_o 2_o positive_o nor_o yet_o whether_o they_o may_v not_o so_o far_o prevail_v as_o for_o a_o time_n to_o suppose_v themselves_o revolt_n from_o the_o truth_n and_o prevail_n of_o enemy_n as_o that_o popery_n shall_v again_o get_v the_o upper_a hand_n among_o we_o and_o establish_v itself_o full_o for_o as_o long_o a_o time_n for_o divers_a year_n 4._o but_o in_o brief_a the_o question_n be_v whether_o the_o present_a danger_n of_o the_o church_n shall_v end_v in_o such_o a_o conquest_n of_o the_o enemy_n over_o our_o religion_n in_o this_o nation_n by_o kill_v many_o and_o drive_v away_o the_o rest_n as_o to_o reduce_v we_o to_o the_o condition_n of_o italy_n or_o spain_n so_o as_o for_o many_o year_n together_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o show_n or_o sign_n of_o any_o number_n of_o the_o true_a religion_n or_o whether_o they_o shall_v and_o at_o last_o in_o a_o peaceful_a and_o happy_a reformation_n now_o to_o this_o i_o give_v a_o twofold_a answer_n 1._o that_o i_o grant_v we_o have_v no_o such_o promise_n to_o our_o church_n of_o england_n negative_o as_o the_o people_n of_o the_o jew_n be_v in_o possession_n of_o at_o this_o time_n that_o the_o text_n speak_v of_o and_o ever_o before_o christ_n be_v bear_v have_v which_o yet_o be_v to_o they_o not_o as_o inhabitant_n of_o that_o land_n of_o canaan_n but_o as_o to_o the_o stock_n of_o abraham_n isaac_n and_o jacab_n no_o nation_n or_o inhabitant_n of_o any_o land_n or_o stock_n of_o the_o gentile_n have_v any_o such_o promise_n that_o the_o church_n of_o god_n shall_v not_o be_v destroy_v and_o cease_v among_o they_o 2._o yet_o for_o all_o that_o i_o be_o persuade_v and_o do_v believe_v and_o therefore_o have_v i_o speak_v and_o do_v speak_v time_n that_o there_o be_v a_o sufficient_a promise_n for_o we_o english_a man_n at_o this_o time_n that_o the_o church_n of_o god_n in_o england_n shall_v not_o be_v so_o destroy_v or_o virtual_a promise_n of_o like_a favour_n to_o ourselves_o particular_a so_o much_o faith_n naaman_n little_a maid_n have_v that_o because_o elisha_n have_v do_v many_o miracle_n he_o can_v and_o will_v cure_v her_o master_n of_o his_o leprosy_n 2_o king_n 5._o 3._o even_o church_n though_o he_o never_o have_v cure_v any_o of_o that_o particular_a disease_n of_o the_o leprosy_n which_o be_v
