therefore_o if_o you_o desire_v happiness_n let_v your_o care_n be_v for_o these_o thing_n for_o out_o of_o this_o kingdom_n there_o be_v nothing_o but_o misery_n and_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n hang_v both_o good_a and_o bad_a but_o there_o be_v a_o second_o gate_n and_o that_o be_v when_o a_o man_n be_v regenerate_v and_o convert_v than_o he_o first_o set_v his_o foot_n within_o the_o city_n all_o before_o be_v but_o the_o suburb_n and_o may_v be_v perform_v of_o hypocrite_n only_o the_o child_n of_o god_n pass_v this_o gate_n therefore_o content_v not_o yourselves_o to_o hear_v the_o word_n and_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n and_o to_o be_v count_v christian_n for_o all_o this_o be_v nothing_o more_o than_o the_o hypocrite_n may_v do_v but_o labour_n to_o become_v new_a creature_n that_o you_o may_v be_v freedenisons_a in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n and_o then_o indeed_o we_o seek_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n aright_o when_o we_o strive_v to_o enter_v in_o at_o this_o gate_n thus_o much_o of_o the_o duty_n command_v which_o i_o will_v repeat_v because_o it_o be_v a_o matter_n of_o weight_n first_o seek_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o his_o righteousness_n this_o must_v christ_n the_o fountain_n of_o wisdom_n have_v teach_v it_o the_o right_a way_n commend_v by_o christ_n be_v above_o all_o thing_n to_o seek_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n to_o seek_v to_o be_v govern_v by_o god_n spirit_n and_o to_o serve_v he_o in_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n this_o be_v the_o right_a way_n and_o none_o other_o therefore_o let_v every_o one_o mark_v it_o and_o the_o reason_n mind_n conscience_n and_o will_v without_o reply_v &_o repine_v rage_a or_o chafe_v than_o we_o be_v go_v a_o good_a way_n and_o have_v make_v good_a beginning_n &_o proceed_n when_o the_o word_n adam_n fall_n that_o you_o may_v yet_o the_o better_a conceive_v what_o this_o wicked_a eye_n be_v you_o must_v know_v that_o the_o mind_n be_v corrupt_v two_o way_n and_o in_o two_o respect_n first_o it_o have_v lose_v the_o gift_n of_o discern_v and_o judge_v and_o in_o this_o respect_n it_o be_v a_o evil_a eye_n and_o mistake_v one_o thing_n for_o a_o other_o good_a for_o evil_n and_o evil_a for_o good_a and_o that_o the_o mind_n have_v lose_v the_o gift_n of_o discern_v in_o many_o thing_n appear_v thus_o many_o of_o we_o by_o nature_n know_v not_o god_n as_o we_o ought_v nor_o ourselves_o touch_v god_n it_o appear_v by_o diverse_a reason_n we_o know_v natural_o that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n yet_o we_o can_v acknowledge_v the_o presence_n of_o god_n man_n natural_o when_o they_o sin_n fear_v not_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n and_o that_o prove_v plain_o that_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o mind_n be_v a_o evil_a eye_n though_o by_o nature_n we_o know_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n yet_o we_o acknowledge_v not_o his_o particular_a providence_n we_o can_v discern_v it_o as_o we_o shall_v and_o it_o appear_v in_o this_o that_o man_n natural_o trust_v man_n before_o god_n the_o creature_n above_o the_o creator_n which_o show_v that_o we_o do_v not_o acknowledge_v a_o particular_a presence_n a_o for_o if_o we_o do_v we_o will_v rather_o distrust_v man_n and_o trust_v god_n though_o the_o conscience_n tell_v a_o man_n of_o the_o punishment_n of_o sin_n yet_o the_o mind_n do_v sooth_n and_o flatter_v we_o natural_o and_o tell_v we_o we_o shall_v escape_v without_o three_o you_o must_v wait_v for_o the_o possession_n of_o it_o touch_v the_o first_o when_o man_n can_v find_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n in_o all_o place_n there_o be_v set_v and_o certain_a place_n in_o which_o it_o be_v to_o be_v find_v god_n have_v appoint_v public_a assembly_n and_o a_o public_a ministry_n in_o which_o the_o doctrine_n of_o reconciliation_n and_o salvation_n be_v deliver_v and_o these_o be_v the_o place_n where_o this_o kingdom_n be_v to_o be_v find_v and_o these_o be_v the_o mean_n whereby_o it_o be_v attain_v in_o the_o gospel_n the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v thus_o take_v often_o especial_o math._n 13._o the_o very_a ministry_n of_o the_o word_n and_o the_o dispensation_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o salvation_n be_v call_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n because_o it_o be_v the_o only_a mean_n by_o which_o god_n do_v give_v this_o kingdom_n and_o offer_v it_o in_o the_o canticle_n the_o church_n ask_v christ_n where_o his_o kingdom_n be_v and_o he_o but_o give_v you_o this_o kingdme_n the_o second_o duty_n be_v to_o enter_v into_o it_o for_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o come_v where_o god_n kingdom_n be_v &_o to_o have_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n among_o we_o as_o the_o pharisy_n have_v when_o christ_n preach_v but_o we_o must_v go_v one_o step_n further_o and_o enter_v into_o it_o for_o till_o we_o enter_v we_o shall_v never_o have_v to_o god_n kingdom_n before_o and_o to_o this_o purpose_n christ_n say_v to_o nicodemus_n except_o a_o man_n be_v bear_v a_o new_a of_o water_n 33._o and_o of_o the_o spirit_n he_o can_v see_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n this_o regeneration_n be_v when_o we_o be_v change_v not_o in_o the_o substance_n of_o body_n or_o soul_n but_o when_o the_o devil_n image_n be_v deface_v and_o we_o be_v think_v now_o a_o man_n must_v always_o after_o show_v himself_o to_o be_v enter_v by_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n and_o by_o duty_n of_o love_n and_o mercy_n and_o that_o be_v the_o reason_n of_o this_o addition_n and_o his_o righteousness_n and_o by_o that_o we_o declare_v ourselves_o to_o be_v of_o god_n kingdom_n and_o to_o belong_v unto_o it_o for_o that_o stand_v in_o righteousness_n
