wherein_o oftentimes_o so_o unexpected_a thing_n happen_v and_o fall_v out_o how_o can_v we_o take_v occasion_n thereby_o to_o praise_n and_o glorify_v the_o lord_n or_o to_o humble_v ourselves_o as_o for_o example_n give_v the_o one_o ungodly_a man_n much_o wealth_n and_o prosperity_n and_o lay_v much_o adversity_n and_o many_o plague_n upon_o the_o other_o as_o also_o why_o god_n impose_v as_o much_o and_o the_o very_a same_o on_o a_o righteous_a man_n that_o he_o do_v on_o a_o ungodly_a man_n and_o make_v no_o difference_n in_o outward_a show_n between_o they_o therein_o give_v both_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o either_o wealth_n or_o poverty_n at_o his_o good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n yet_o we_o may_v by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n find_v out_o and_o know_v why_o god_n do_v so_o child_n of_o israel_n that_o die_v while_o they_o be_v in_o their_o mouth_n than_o they_o will_v present_o see_v and_o perceive_v that_o they_o have_v no_o cause_n to_o doubt_v of_o or_o to_o misconstrue_v and_o stumble_v at_o the_o work_n of_o god_n for_o to_o speak_v the_o truth_n who_o be_v he_o that_o will_v long_o stumble_v at_o or_o think_v it_o strange_a to_o see_v that_o god_n lose_v and_o slack_v the_o bridle_n to_o the_o child_n of_o the_o world_n but_o tuâ—â—reth_v hold_v in_o restrain_v instant_o and_o suffer_v not_o his_o child_n to_o have_v their_o will_n when_o he_o remember_v that_o the_o lord_n do_v it_o to_o his_o child_n to_o the_o end_n that_o they_o may_v become_v the_o more_o spiritual_a and_o better_o prepare_v for_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n do_v we_o not_o the_o like_a in_o matter_n of_o less_o importance_n continual_o in_o our_o house_n to_o our_o child_n we_o suffer_v our_o dog_n that_o weâ—_n breed_v in_o our_o house_n to_o run_v at_o liberty_n loose_a and_o untie_v and_o have_v no_o regard_n what_o they_o do_v nor_o how_o it_o fare_v with_o they_o but_o be_v it_o not_o our_o manner_n to_o look_v narrow_o to_o our_o child_n to_o keep_v they_o short_a to_o teach_v and_o instruct_v they_o and_o why_o do_v we_o so_o but_o only_o to_o bring_v they_o up_o to_o all_o virtuous_a action_n and_o for_o their_o better_a preferment_n so_o that_o it_o be_v to_o a_o special_a end_n that_o we_o have_v so_o great_a a_o care_n of_o our_o child_n which_o in_o no_o wise_a we_o do_v intend_v to_o our_o dog_n but_o let_v they_o run_v where_o they_o list_v the_o word_n of_o god_n therefore_o advise_v we_o to_o cast_v off_o all_o doubt_n and_o fear_n touch_v the_o work_n of_o god_n and_o to_o rid_v we_o thereof_o will_v we_o not_o to_o look_v only_o upon_o the_o outward_a end_n of_o the_o child_n of_o man_n and_o to_o consider_v of_o nothing_o else_o but_o the_o course_n of_o this_o present_a world_n even_o as_o the_o state_n short_a and_o spend_v upon_o their_o father_n purse_n whether_o it_o be_v superfluous_o or_o otherwise_o as_o their_o father_n think_v it_o good_a have_v no_o fear_n of_o a_o after_o reckon_v all_o be_v free_o forgive_v they_o thus_o their_o end_n differ_v much_o one_o from_o another_o this_o when_o the_o psalmist_n consider_v although_o before_o touch_v this_o point_n of_o the_o work_n of_o the_o world_n and_o to_o think_v and_o persuade_v ourselves_o that_o it_o be_v the_o lord_n our_o god_n that_o have_v do_v this_o thus_o and_o in_o this_o manner_n either_o by_o further_a or_o by_o hinder_v the_o same_o in_o this_o or_o that_o manner_n and_o cause_v or_o suffer_v it_o to_o fall_v out_o the_o one_o way_n or_o the_o other_o and_o according_o whatsoever_o happen_v to_o cross_v the_o proceed_n of_o god_n child_n learn_v always_o to_o say_v unto_o our_o soul_n behold_v this_o our_o god_n have_v do_v or_o permit_v to_o be_v do_v this_o the_o ungodly_a use_v not_o to_o do_v scripture_n that_o witness_v something_o touch_v the_o same_o whereby_o it_o be_v foretell_v or_o whereunto_o it_o may_v be_v liken_v as_o for_o example_n we_o see_v a_o man_n run_v up_o and_o down_o happen_v so_o well_o or_o so_o ill_a and_o wherein_o they_o find_v themselves_o to_o have_v a_o part_n in_o the_o gracious_a promise_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o the_o lord_n have_v promise_v such_o good_a to_o come_v to_o they_o as_o they_o then_o find_v or_o wherein_o they_o feel_v and_o know_v themselves_o culpable_a of_o the_o threaten_n of_o god_n whereby_o thing_n have_v so_o happen_v unto_o they_o as_o they_o have_v fall_v out_o and_o if_o we_o can_v find_v no_o certain_a special_a cause_n thereof_o but_o the_o contrary_a rather_o than_o we_o must_v as_o in_o job_n case_n rank_n concern_v the_o holy_a scripture_n themselves_o by_o the_o light_n whereof_o we_o may_v be_v able_a to_o prove_v and_o to_o justify_v all_o the_o aforesaid_a argument_n and_o declaration_n other_o some_o concern_v god_n work_n and_o a_o three_o sort_n our_o obedience_n which_o we_o be_v to_o yield_v and_o show_v unto_o the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o the_o holy_a scripture_n touch_v the_o first_o sort_n of_o fruit_n concern_v the_o holy_a scripture_n they_o be_v three_o for_o in_o the_o first_o place_n we_o learn_v out_o of_o the_o aforesaid_a consideration_n the_o truth_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n that_o the_o same_o be_v most_o certain_a and_o immutable_a and_o that_o it_o shall_v never_o fail_v in_o any_o one_o tittle_n thereof_o therein_o contain_v and_o hereby_o be_v we_o confirm_v and_o assure_v in_o our_o conscience_n as_o by_o experience_n we_o find_v that_o what_o soever_o the_o lord_n have_v speak_v by_o his_o own_o mouth_n in_o his_o word_n that_o with_o

the_o true_a understanding_n of_o many_o place_n of_o holy_a scripture_n whereof_o otherwise_o those_o that_o have_v no_o experience_n nor_o knowledge_n of_o thing_n touch_v and_o concern_v a_o often_o be_v hardly_o besy_v therein_o and_o so_o long_o as_o we_o will_v go_v into_o this_o way_n our_o prosperity_n will_v become_v a_o curse_n unto_o we_o and_o be_v a_o mean_n to_o overthrow_v we_o and_o if_o we_o can_v say_v thus_o much_o by_o our_o own_o experience_n to_o our_o soul_n it_o will_v be_v a_o powfull_a mean_n to_o divert_v we_o from_o the_o way_n of_o the_o ungodly_a and_o again_o on_o the_o other_o side_n when_o by_o the_o aforesaid_a declaration_n we_o find_v and_o see_v that_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n constancy_n righteousness_n good_a work_n and_o godliness_n for_o certain_a have_v the_o promise_n of_o this_o life_n and_o the_o life_n to_o come_v yea_o and_o that_o those_o that_o be_v endue_v therewith_o have_v great_a peace_n of_o conscience_n and_o be_v preserve_v from_o many_o mischance_n whereinto_o wickedness_n and_o sin_n draw_v man_n and_o that_o in_o all_o danger_n and_o perplexity_n they_o be_v comfort_v and_o embolden_v we_o can_v not_o but_o be_v thereby_o strong_o provoke_v
