the_o word_n abovementioned_a in_o the_o shut_n up_o and_o conclusion_n of_o that_o book_n it_o be_v say_v that_o all_o the_o sermon_n and_o preach_v in_o the_o world_n if_o they_o be_v right_o and_o true_o manage_v be_v all_o to_o the_o very_a same_o end_n and_o purpose_n to_o instruct_v and_o exhort_v we_o to_o set_v our_o soul_n in_o order_n for_o we_o shall_v die_v or_o that_o they_o may_v be_v set_v in_o order_n which_o be_v explain_v to_o be_v in_o a_o readiness_n and_o that_o nothing_o be_v want_v in_o they_o against_o the_o time_n they_o shall_v go_v out_o of_o these_o body_n we_o do_v hence_o see_v what_o be_v to_o be_v do_v then_o when_o that_o time_n come_v so_o that_o by_o those_o word_n we_o be_v instruct_v how_o to_o die_v or_o how_o to_o behave_v fit_a and_o prepare_v ourselves_o a_o little_a before_o and_o as_o we_o come_v to_o die_v but_o now_o in_o the_o word_n which_o i_o have_v here_o choose_v for_o my_o text_n we_o be_v teach_v what_o we_o must_v do_v throughout_o all_o our_o life_n so_o that_o in_o the_o three_o first_o verse_n of_o this_o excellent_a chapter_n we_o be_v inform_v and_o direct_v how_o to_o live_v and_o how_o to_o die_v what_o we_o must_v do_v in_o our_o life_n time_n and_o what_o in_o the_o day_n of_o sickness_n and_o of_o death_n and_o what_o will_v man_n have_v more_o in_o order_n to_o his_o salvation_n security_n and_o happiness_n then_o to_o know_v how_o to_o live_v and_o how_o to_o die_v true_o there_o can_v be_v more_o desire_v than_o these_o two_o thing_n for_o herein_o be_v comprise_v the_o whole_a state_n of_o his_o duration_n both_o in_o this_o world_n and_o also_o in_o his_o passage_n into_o the_o next_o for_o inasmuch_o as_o the_o spirit_n say_v bless_a be_v the_o dead_a that_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n rev._n 14._o 13._o we_o may_v assure_o gather_v that_o they_o who_o live_v well_o as_o such_o do_v who_o live_v unto_o the_o lord_n will_v also_o die_v well_o and_o will_v die_v in_o the_o lord_n again_o they_o that_o die_v well_o or_o who_o die_v in_o the_o lord_n will_v be_v bless_v for_o evermore_o even_o so_o as_o to_o receive_v partake_v of_o and_o inherit_v that_o blessing_n which_o lord_n there_o be_v a_o wide_a difference_n between_o sudden_a wish_n and_o real_a continue_a performance_n for_o the_o first_o even_o sinner_n and_o hypocrite_n the_o ignorant_a and_o ungodly_a have_v some_o time_n good_a wish_n and_o woulding_n towards_o god_n o_o that_o they_o do_v please_v he_o and_o be_v at_o peace_n with_o he_o when_o indeed_o they_o do_v not_o go_v about_o so_o to_o do_v and_o obtain_v it_o but_o the_o righteous_a and_o godly_a know_v it_o be_v vain_a and_o deceitful_a work_n before_o the_o lord_n curse_a be_v he_o that_o do_v the_o work_n of_o the_o lord_n deceitful_o unless_o their_o good_a resolution_n be_v turn_v into_o actual_a performance_n for_o even_o a_o wicked_a balaam_n can_v and_o do_v cry_v out_o before_o hand_n upon_o a_o serious_a fit_a and_o mood_n let_v i_o die_v the_o death_n of_o the_o righteous_a and_o let_v my_o last_o end_n be_v like_o he_o number_n 23._o 10._o when_o yet_o for_o all_o this_o good_a expression_n he_o do_v hezekiah_n or_o one_o like_a unto_o hezekiah_n who_o can_v make_v that_o most_o sweet_a and_o comfortable_a review_n and_o appeal_v to_o he_o that_o be_v invisible_a and_o have_v their_o own_o heart_n and_o conscience_n within_o they_o witness_v to_o the_o truth_n reality_n and_o sincerity_n thereof_o remember_v now_o o_o lord_n i_o beseech_v thou_o how_o i_o have_v walk_v before_o thou_o in_o truth_n and_o with_o a_o perfect_a heart_n and_o have_v do_v that_o which_o be_v good_a in_o thy_o sight_n and_o hezekiah_n weep_v sore_o not_o for_o grief_n and_o vexation_n that_o he_o have_v do_v so_o in_o no_o wise_a but_o through_o that_o abundance_n of_o comfort_n and_o rejoice_v which_o upon_o this_o very_a same_o reflection_n do_v hence_o stream_n and_o flow_v in_o upon_o his_o soul_n for_o i_o trow_v and_o assure_v you_o that_o such_o a_o reflection_n or_o remembrance_n be_v better_a and_o will_v contribute_v more_o to_o one_o future_a which_o indeed_o be_v the_o only_a real_a and_o endure_a happiness_n then_o to_o have_v live_v in_o pleasure_n on_o the_o earth_n to_o have_v be_v wanton_a or_o to_o have_v nourish_v our_o heart_n as_o in_o the_o day_n of_o slaughter_n james_n 5._o 5._o for_o it_o may_v be_v sensible_o perceive_v even_o now_o that_o the_o pleasure_n of_o this_o life_n however_o sweet_a they_o may_v seem_v to_o some_o in_o enjoyment_n and_o whilst_o they_o be_v present_a yet_o as_o they_o choke_v the_o word_n luke_n 8._o 13._o so_o they_o make_v death_n bitter_a and_o more_o terrible_a when_o a_o man_n come_v to_o die_v if_o he_o have_v heretofore_o live_v in_o all_o the_o pleasure_n riches_n and_o honour_n of_o this_o world_n he_o be_v never_o the_o better_a for_o have_v have_v they_o but_o rather_o he_o suspect_v his_o condition_n to_o be_v the_o worse_o in_o that_o they_o have_v occasion_v so_o much_o the_o more_o sin_n and_o gild_n and_o pride_n unto_o he_o as_o to_o which_o he_o must_v go_v away_o to_o give_v a_o account_n and_o this_o account_n will_v be_v with_o grief_n and_o not_o with_o joy_n which_o will_v be_v unprofitable_a for_o he_o he_o be_v then_o to_o undergo_v so_o much_o pain_n loss_n and_o punishment_n for_o the_o sin_n which_o he_o commit_v in_o the_o day_n of_o flesh_n and_o then_o also_o the_o soul_n make_v inquiry_n what_o his_o good_a she_o have_v do_v in_o order_n unto_o or_o towards_o god_n and_o as_o from_o the_o other_o sort_n do_v arise_v fearful_a expectation_n so_o the_o have_v do_v good_a will_v stand_v in_o some_o stead_n and_o yield_v comfort_n and_o hope_n and_o assurance_n and_o boldness_n in_o that_o day_n the_o only_a want_n and_o failure_n here_o will_v be_v if_o there_o have_v be_v any_o good_a do_v will_v god_n there_o have_v be_v more_o of_o it_o and_o it_o have_v be_v better_a but_o that_o can_v be_v now_o neither_o for_o care_n shall_v have_v be_v take_v as_o to_o this_o soon_o and_o before_o however_o the_o soul_n must_v go_v away_o to_o give_v account_n and_o receive_v for_o it_o as_o it_o be_v it_o be_v probable_a by_o these_o two_o kind_n of_o speech_n hezekiah_n be_v sick_a unto_o death_n than_o hezekiah_n turn_v his_o face_n towards_o the_o wall_n that_o hezekiah_n be_v at_o this_o very_a time_n when_o the_o prophet_n isaiah_n come_v unto_o he_o and_o say_v thus_o that_o then_o he_o be_v lie_v in_o his_o bed_n of_o sickness_n and_o languish_v as_o yet_o more_o full_o appear_v by_o what_o be_v after_o write_a when_o he_o have_v be_v sick_a and_o be_v recover_v of_o his_o sickness_n ver_fw-la 9_o and_o then_o afterward_o mention_n be_v make_v of_o his_o go_v up_o to_o the_o house_n of_o the_o lord_n ver_fw-la 22._o which_o he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o do_v whilst_o he_o be_v there_o and_o as_o it_o be_v elsewhere_o write_a the_o lord_n will_v strengthen_v he_o upon_o the_o bed_n of_o languish_v thou_o will_v make_v all_o his_o bed_n in_o his_o sickness_n psal_n 41._o 3._o now_o these_o thing_n be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o the_o lord_n for_o our_o hope_n and_o comfort_n for_o our_o learning_n and_o admonition_n that_o we_o shall_v also_o sometime_o in_o thought_n and_o supposal_n throw_v ourselves_o before_o hand_n upon_o a_o sick_a and_o die_a bed_n that_o be_v put_v the_o case_n and_o imagine_v it_o so_o to_o ourselves_o before_o we_o come_v to_o lie_v upon_o it_o in_o deed_n and_o reality_n for_o we_o shall_v very_a time_n when_o our_o outward_a body_n shall_v be_v actual_o languish_v in_o the_o bed_n for_o to_o this_o agree_v two_o alike_a speech_n of_o the_o ancient_a heathen_a pliny_n which_o be_v near_o to_o the_o same_o purpose_n and_o signification_n the_o one_o whereof_o be_v this_o be_v the_o sum_n of_o all_o philosophy_n which_o be_v give_v to_o regulate_v and_o make_v better_o the_o manner_n of_o man_n if_o we_o will_v be_v so_o in_o our_o health_n as_o we_o profess_v and_o resolve_v we_o will_v be_v when_o we_o be_v sick_a the_o other_o say_v be_v a_o little_a
perceive_v somewhat_o more_o as_o we_o come_v near_o to_o the_o end_n of_o our_o hope_n the_o day_n of_o death_n which_o be_v indeed_o to_o the_o child_n and_o servant_n of_o god_n the_o birthday_n of_o immortality_n therefore_o only_o it_o be_v that_o we_o have_v not_o more_o profit_n because_o we_o do_v not_o so_o much_o as_o we_o shall_v walk_v mournful_o but_o we_o shall_v have_v walk_v and_o religion_n be_v the_o only_o resort_v my_o soul_n cleave_v fast_o unto_o thou_o say_v the_o psalmist_n by_o the_o spirit_n but_o though_o hardly_o ever_o any_o one_o in_o a_o die_a condition_n the_o sinner_n and_o hypocrite_n when_o they_o be_v under_o violent_a pain_n of_o body_n or_o the_o languish_n of_o pine_v sickness_n and_o yet_o much_o more_o from_o that_o fearful_a expectation_n of_o those_o dreadful_a thing_n of_o the_o invisible_a world_n all_o this_o will_v sometime_o make_v they_o cry_v out_o and_o howl_v and_o yet_o at_o the_o same_o time_n they_o do_v not_o cry_v out_o with_o their_o heart_n to_o god_n for_o that_o have_v be_v a_o long_a time_n at_o enmity_n and_o distance_n from_o he_o and_o indeed_o they_o be_v ignorant_a and_o unacquainted_a with_o he_o in_o a_o die_a hour_n thing_n will_v appear_v in_o a_o just_a and_o real_a value_n and_o then_o will_v be_v discern_v what_o be_v best_a to_o have_v be_v do_v then_o shall_v you_o return_v and_o discern_v between_o the_o righteous_a and_o the_o wicked_a between_o he_o that_o serve_v god_n and_o he_o that_o serve_v he_o not_o in_o the_o latter_a day_n you_o shall_v consider_v it_o perfect_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o we_o must_v give_v account_n for_o all_o and_o the_o several_a talent_n which_o we_o have_v receive_v as_o knowledge_n health_n riches_n time_n and_o such_o like_a now_o to_o many_o hour_n expend_v in_o good_a work_n and_o the_o duty_n of_o christianity_n item_n so_o many_o hour_n in_o honest_a labour_n in_o our_o trade_n or_o employment_n which_o be_v a_o comply_v with_o that_o prime_a ordinance_n of_o god_n in_o the_o sweat_n of_o thy_o face_n shall_v thou_o eat_v thy_o bread_n till_o thou_o return_v unto_o the_o ground_n gen._n 3._o 19_o all_o these_o will_v turn_v to_o good_a and_o profitable_a account_n that_o we_o may_v find_v mercy_n comfort_n and_o reward_n from_o the_o lord_n in_o that_o day_n 2_o tim._n 1._o 18._o but_o than_o come_v in_o also_o the_o account_n which_o some_o must_v be_v force_v to_o make_v on_o the_o other_o and_o worse_a hand_n imprimis_fw-la so_o many_o hour_n spend_v in_o serve_v divers_a lust_n and_o pleasure_n item_n so_o many_o hour_n in_o card_n and_o die_n and_o in_o other_o vain_a and_o unnecessary_a recreation_n item_n so_o many_o hour_n in_o carnal_a visit_n and_o company_n item_n so_o many_o hour_n in_o pride_n and_o dress_n item_n so_o many_o hour_n in_o stage-play_n item_n so_o many_o hour_n in_o tavern_n or_o alehouse_n item_n so_o many_o hour_n expend_v in_o serve_v of_o mammon_n covetousness_n and_o get_v of_o unjust_a gain_n all_o these_o and_o such_o like_a will_v tend_v to_o loss_n and_o punishment_n at_o that_o day_n this_o question_n be_v easy_a to_o be_v answer_v and_o it_o will_v be_v see_v which_o of_o these_o two_o will_v tend_v most_o to_o man_n and_o woman_n happiness_n at_o the_o last_o day_n see_v we_o must_v all_o avoidable_a give_v account_n for_o so_o many_o sabbath_n as_o we_o have_v have_v will_v it_o not_o tend_v to_o better_a account_n to_o have_v spend_v the_o remain_a hour_n thereof_o after_o the_o public_a worship_n be_v over_o in_o hear_v the_o scripture_n and_o what_o truth_n do_v flow_v from_o they_o for_o on_o the_o sabbath-day_n beside_o the_o double_a burn_v offer_v be_v to_o be_v a_o continual_a burut_fw-la offer_v numb_a 28._o 9_o 10._o the_o holy_a the_o utmost_a indignation_n from_o the_o very_a bottom_n of_o my_o soul_n but_o i_o can_v help_v the_o talk_n esteem_v and_o reproach_n of_o other_o but_o lest_o it_o shall_v seem_v somewhat_o too_o
