work_v than_o it_o assist_v and_o prosecute_v what_o it_o have_v wrought_v he_o work_v in_o we_o to_o will_v and_o to_o do_v but_o the_o whole_a sense_n of_o save_a grace_n i_o conceive_v be_v love_n betwixt_o the_o soul_n and_o her_o belove_a uninterrupted_a all_o which_o be_v then_o most_o in_o danger_n when_o this_o fear_n abate_v and_o fall_v to_o slumber_v for_o then_o ready_o some_o notable_a sin_n or_o other_o break_v in_o put_v all_o into_o disorder_n and_o for_o a_o time_n make_v those_o grace_n and_o the_o comfort_n of_o they_o to_o present_a feeling_n as_o much_o to_o seek_v as_o if_o they_o be_v not_o there_o at_o all_o no_o wonder_n then_o if_o the_o apostle_n have_v stir_v up_o his_o christian_a brethren_n whatsoever_o be_v their_o estate_n in_o the_o world_n to_o seek_v to_o be_v rich_a in_o those_o jewel_n of_o faith_n and_o hope_v and_o love_n and_o spiritual_a joy_n and_o then_o consider_v that_o they_o travel_v among_o a_o world_n of_o thief_n and_o robber_n no_o wonder_n i_o say_v that_o he_o add_v this_o advise_v they_o to_o give_v those_o their_o jewel_n in_o custody_n under_o god_n to_o this_o trusty_a and_o watchful_a grace_n of_o godly_a be_v the_o begin_n of_o wisdom_n and_o the_o progress_n and_o increase_v of_o it_o be_v the_o increase_n of_o wisdom_n that_o hardy_a rashness_n that_o many_o account_n valour_n be_v the_o companion_n of_o ignorance_n and_o of_o all_o rashness_n boldness_n to_o sin_n be_v the_o most_o witless_a and_o foolish_a there_o be_v in_o 〈◊〉_d as_o in_o all_o fear_n a_o apprehension_n of_o a_o evil_a he_o father_n and_o profess_v yourselves_o his_o child_n beget_v again_o by_o he_o for_o this_o look_n back_o to_o that_o it_o become_v you_o as_o obedient_a child_n to_o stand_v in_o awe_n and_o fear_v to_o offend_v he_o your_o father_n and_o a_o father_n so_o full_a of_o goodness_n and_o tender_a love_n but_o as_o he_o be_v the_o best_a father_n so_o consider_v that_o he_o be_v withal_o the_o great_a and_o just_a judge_n judge_n according_a to_o every_o man_n work_n god_n always_o see_v and_o discern_v man_n and_o all_o their_o work_n and_o judge_v that_o be_v account_v of_o they_o as_o they_o be_v and_o sometime_o in_o this_o life_n declare_v this_o his_o judgement_n of_o they_o to_o their_o own_o conscience_n and_o in_o some_o to_o the_o view_n of_o other_o in_o visible_a punshment_n and_o reward_n but_o the_o most_o solemn_a judgement_n of_o all_o be_v reserve_v to_o that_o great_a day_n which_o he_o have_v appoint_v wherein_o he_o will_v judge_v the_o world_n in_o righteousness_n by_o his_o son_n jesus_n act._n 17_o 32._o there_o be_v here_o the_o sovereignty_n of_o this_o judge_n the_o universality_n of_o his_o judgement_n and_o the_o equity_n of_o it_o all_o must_v answer_v at_o his_o great_a court_n he_o be_v supreme_a judge_n of_o the_o world_n he_o make_v it_o and_o have_v therefore_o unquestionable_a right_n to_o judge_v it_o he_o judge_v everyman_n difference_n that_o man_n eye_v so_o much_o and_o the_o first_o be_v according_a to_o the_o work_n itself_o job._n 34.19_o he_o accepteh_o not_o the_o person_n of_o prince_n nor_o regard_v the_o rich_a more_o than_o the_o poor_a and_o the_o reason_n be_v add_v therefore_o they_o be_v all_o the_o work_n of_o his_o hand_n he_o make_v all_o the_o person_n and_o he_o make_v all_o those_o difference_n himself_o as_o it_o please_v he_o therefore_o he_o do_v not_o admire_v they_o as_o we_o do_v no_o nor_o at_o all_o regard_n they_o we_o find_v very_o great_a odds_o betwixt_o stately_a mountain_n and_o low_a valley_n on_o this_o earth_n but_o compare_v with_o the_o vast_a compass_n of_o the_o heaven_n it_o be_v all_o but_o as_o a_o point_n and_o have_v no_o sensible_a greatness_n at_o all_o nor_o regard_v he_o any_o other_o difference_n to_o bias_n his_o judgement_n from_o the_o work_n of_o man_n to_o their_o person_n you_o profess_v the_o true_a religion_n and_o call_v he_o father_n but_o if_o you_o live_v devoid_a of_o his_o fear_n and_o be_v disobedient_a child_n he_o will_v not_o spare_v you_o because_o of_o that_o relation_n but_o rather_o punish_v you_o the_o more_o severe_o because_o you_o pretend_v to_o be_v his_o child_n and_o yet_o obey_v he_o not_o therefore_o you_o shall_v find_v he_o your_o judge_n and_o a_o impartial_a judge_n of_o your_o work_n remember_v therefore_o that_o your_o father_n be_v this_o judge_n and_o fear_v to_o offend_v he_o but_o then_o indeed_o a_o believer_n may_v look_v back_o to_o the_o other_o for_o comfort_n that_o your_o rest_n watchful_a fear_n become_v this_o your_o sojurning_n perfect_a peace_n and_o security_n be_v reserve_v for_o you_o at_o home_n and_o that_o be_v the_o last_o term_n of_o this_o fear_n it_o continue_v all_o the_o time_n of_o this_o sojurn_a life_n die_v not_o before_o we_o we_o and_o it_o shall_v expire_v together_o bless_a be_v he_o that_o fear_v always_o say_v solomon_n in_o secret_a and_o in_o society_n in_o his_o own_o house_n and_o in_o god_n we_o must_v hear_v the_o word_n with_o fear_n and_o preach_v it_o with_o fear_n afraid_a to_o miscarry_v in_o our_o intention_n and_o manner_n serve_v the_o lord_n with_o fear_n yea_o in_o time_n of_o inward_a comfort_n and_o joy_n yet_o rejoice_v with_o tremble_a psa._n 2.11_o not_o only_a when_o he_o feel_v most_o his_o the_o creature_n be_v call_v together_o in_o the_o word_n to_o give_v we_o some_o small_a scantling_n of_o that_o uncreated_a beauty_n that_o alone_o deserve_v to_o be_v love_v thus_o may_v it_o be_v yet_o all_o these_o and_o many_o such_o thing_n may_v be_v in_o a_o natural_a man_n who_o notwithstanding_o grow_v not_o for_o that_o be_v impossible_a he_o be_v not_o in_o that_o estate_n a_o subject_a capable_a of_o this_o growth_n for_o he_o be_v dead_a he_o have_v none_o of_o this_o new_a life_n to_o which_o this_o growth_n relate_v herod_n hear_v glad_o and_o obey_v many_o thing_n consider_v then_o what_o true_a delight_n we_o may_v have_v in_o this_o you_o find_v a_o pleasure_n when_o you_o see_v your_o child_n grow_v when_o they_o begin_v to_o stand_v and_o walk_v etc._n move_v downward_o and_o decay_v as_o the_o sun_n be_v at_o its_o meridian_n begin_v to_o decline_v again_o but_o this_o life_n shall_v grow_v on-in_a whosoever_o it_o be_v and_o come_v certain_o to_o its_o fullness_n after_o which_o there_o be_v no_o more_o need_n of_o this_o word_n either_o for_o growth_n or_o nourishment_n no_o death_n no_o decay_n no_o old_a age_n but_o perpetual_a youth_n and_o a_o perpetual_a spring_n ver_fw-la aeternum_fw-la fullness_n of_o joy_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n and_o everlasting_a pleasure_n at_o his_o right_a hand_n verse_n 3._o if_o so_o be_v holiness_n and_o glory_n and_o on_o earth_n the_o house_n of_o his_o public_a worship_n be_v call_v his_o house_n especial_o the_o jewish_a temple_n in_o its_o time_n have_v in_o it_o such_o a_o relative_a typical_a holiness_n which_o other_o have_v not_o but_o beside_o all_o these_o and_o beyond_o they_o all_o in_o excellency_n he_o have_v a_o house_n wherein_o he_o dwell_v more_o peculiarly_a than_o in_o any_o of_o the_o rest_n even_o more_o than_o in_o heaven_n take_v for_o the_o place_n only_o and_o that_o be_v this_o spiritual_a building_n and_o this_o be_v most_o suitable_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o god_n as_o our_o saviour_n say_v of_o the_o necessary_a conformity_n of_o his_o worship_n to_o himself_o god_n be_v a_o spirit_n and_o therefore_o will_v be_v worship_v in_o spirit_n and_o in_o truth_n so_o it_o hold_v of_o his_o house_n he_o must_v have_v a_o spiritual_a one_o because_o he_o be_v a_o spirit_n so_o god_n temple_n be_v his_o people_n and_o for_o this_o purpose_n chief_o do_v he_o make_v the_o world_n the_o heaven_n and_o the_o earth_n that_o in_o it_o he_o may_v raise_v this_o spiritual_a build_n for_o himself_o to_o dwell_v in_o for_o ever_o to_o have_v a_o number_n of_o his_o reasonable_a creature_n to_o enjoy_v he_o and_o glorify_v he_o in_o eternity_n and_o from_o eternity_n he_o know_v what_o the_o dimension_n and_o frame_v and_o material_n of_o it_o shall_v be_v the_o continuance_n of_o this_o present_a world_n as_o now_o it_o be_v be_v but_o for_o the_o service_n of_o this_o work_n like_o the_o scaffold_n about_o it_o virtue_n as_o brook_n lead_v we_o to_o their_o spring_n when_o a_o christian_a can_v quiet_o repose_v and_o trust_v on_o god_n in_o a_o matter_n of_o very_o great_a difficulty_n wherein_o there_o be_v no_o other_o thing_n to_o stay_v he_o but_o god_n alone_o this_o declare_v that_o there_o be_v strength_n enough_o in_o god_n that_o bear_v he_o up_o that_o there_o must_v be_v in_o he_o that_o real_a abundance_n of_o goodness_n and_o truth_n that_o the_o word_n speak_v of_o he_o abraham_n believe_v and_o give_v glory_n to_o god_n this_o be_v that_o which_o a_o believer_n can_v do_v to_o declare_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n he_o rely_v on_o it_o he_o that_o believe_v set_v to_o his_o seal_n that_o god_n be_v true_a so_o also_o their_o holiness_n be_v for_o his_o praise_n man_n hear_v that_o there_o be_v a_o god_n who_o be_v infinite_o holy_a but_o they_o can_v neither_o see_v he_o nor_o his_o holiness_n but_o when_o they_o perceive_v some_o lineament_n of_o it_o in_o the_o face_n of_o his_o child_n which_o be_v in_o no_o other_o this_o may_v convince_v they_o that_o its_o perfection_n which_o must_v be_v somewhere_o can_v be_v no_o where_o else_o but_o in_o their_o heavenly_a father_n when_o these_o that_o be_v his_o peculiar_a plant_n bring_v forth_o the_o fruit_n of_o holiness_n which_o natural_o they_o yield_v not_o it_o testify_v a_o supernatural_a work_n of_o his_o hand_n that_o plant_v they_o and_o the_o more_o they_o be_v fruitful_a the_o great_a be_v his_o praise_n herein_o say_v our_o saviour_n be_v your_o heavenly_a father_n glorify_v that_o you_o bring_v forth_o much_o fruit_n be_v it_o not_o the_o conscience_n of_o this_o duty_n to_o god_n and_o possible_o the_o necessity_n of_o their_o station_n and_o call_v it_o may_v well_o be_v some_o christian_a have_v rather_o altogether_o look_v up_o and_o keep_v within_o any_o grace_n he_o have_v than_o let_v it_o appear_v at_o all_o consider_v some_o hazard_n he_o and_o it_o run_v in_o the_o discovery_n and_o it_o may_v be_v can_v take_v some_o pleasure_n in_o the_o world_n mistake_n and_o disesteem_v of_o he_o but_o see_v both_o piety_n and_o charity_n require_v the_o act_n of_o grace_n in_o converse_n with_o man_n that_o which_o hypocrisy_n do_v for_o itself_o a_o real_a christian_a may_v and_o shall_v do_v for_o god_n the_o other_o thing_n mention_v as_o make_v up_o this_o rule_n will_v give_v the_o difference_n that_o not_o only_o what_o we_o speak_v and_o do_v shall_v be_v such_o as_o agree_v with_o this_o end_n but_o that_o in_o so_o speak_v and_o do_v our_o eye_n be_v upon_o this_o end_n that_o all_o our_o christian_a conversation_n be_v direct_o intend_v by_o we_o not_o to_o cry_v up_o our_o own_o virtue_n but_o to_o glorify_v god_n and_o his_o virtue_n to_o declare_v his_o praise_n who_o have_v call_v we_o let_v your_o light_n say_v our_o saviour_n shine_v and_o shine_v before_o man_n too_o that_o be_v not_o forbid_v yea_o it_o be_v command_v but_o it_o be_v thus_o command_v let_v your_o light_n so_o shine_v before_o man_n that_o man_n see_v your_o good_a work_n yourselves_o as_o little_a as_o may_v be_v your_o work_n more_o than_o yourselves_o as_o the_o use_v than_o any_o with_o we_o especial_o those_o that_o be_v christian_a servant_n under_o unchristian_a master_n therefore_o the_o apostle_n insist_o most_o on_o this_o and_o this_o be_v the_o extent_n of_o the_o obedience_n here_o require_v that_o it_o be_v to_o all_o kind_n of_o master_n not_o to_o the_o good_a only_o but_o the_o evil_a not_o only_o to_o obey_v but_o to_o suffer_v and_o suffer_v patient_o and_o not_o only_o deserve_v but_o even_o wrongful_a and_o unjust_a punishment_n now_o because_o this_o particular_a concern_v servant_n let_v they_o reflect_v upon_o their_o own_o carriage_n and_o examine_v it_o by_o this_o rule_n and_o true_o the_o great_a part_n of_o they_o will_v be_v find_v very_o unconform_v to_o it_o be_v either_o close_o fraudulent_a and_o deceitful_a or_o gross_o stubborn_a and_o disobedient_a abuse_v the_o lenity_n and_o mildness_n of_o their_o master_n or_o murmur_v at_o their_o just_a severity_n so_o far_o be_v they_o from_o the_o patient_a endurance_n of_o the_o least_o undue_a word_n of_o reproof_n much_o less_o of_o sharp_a punishment_n either_o true_o or_o in_o their_o opinion_n undeserved_a and_o true_o if_o any_o that_o profess_v obedient_a even_o to_o the_o worst_a kind_n of_o parent_n and_o master_n always_o in_o the_o lord_n not_o obey_v any_o unjust_a command_n though_o they_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o suffer_v patient_o as_o it_o be_v here_o their_o unjust_a reproof_n or_o punishment_n but_o on_o the_o other_o side_n this_o do_v not_o justify_v nor_o at_o all_o excuse_n the_o unmerciful_a austerity_n and_o unbridled_a passion_n of_o master_n it_o be_v still_o a_o perverseness_n and_o crookedness_n in_o they_o as_o the_o word_n be_v here_o and_o must_v have_v its_o own_o name_n and_o shall_v have_v its_o
