particular_a first_o if_o god_n be_v so_o exceed_v good_a whence_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o there_o be_v so_o much_o evil_n in_o the_o world_n of_o several_a kind_n evil_a of_o imperfection_n evil_a of_o affliction_n or_o suffer_v and_o which_o be_v the_o great_a of_o all_o other_o and_o indeed_o the_o cause_n of_o they_o evil_a of_o sin_n second_o the_o doctrine_n of_o absolute_a reprobation_n by_o which_o be_v mean_v the_o decree_a of_o the_o great_a part_n of_o mankind_n to_o eternal_a misery_n and_o torment_n without_o any_o consideration_n or_o respect_n to_o their_o sin_n instance_n of_o god_n great_a severity_n to_o mankind_n upon_o occasion_n in_o those_o great_a calamity_n which_o by_o the_o
upon_o necessity_n and_o in_o case_n of_o just_a provocation_n and_o to_o be_v otherwise_o not_o to_o punish_v insolent_a impiety_n and_o incorrigible_a wickedness_n in_o a_o severe_a and_o remarkable_a manner_n will_v not_o be_v goodness_n but_o a_o fond_a indulgence_n not_o patience_n but_o stupidity_n not_o mercy_n to_o mankind_n but_o cruelty_n because_o it_o will_v be_v a_o encouragement_n to_o they_o to_o do_v more_o mischief_n and_o to_o bring_v great_a misery_n upon_o themselves_o so_o that_o if_o we_o suppose_v god_n to_o be_v holy_a and_o just_a as_o well_o as_o be_v necessary_a in_o kindness_n and_o compassion_n to_o the_o rest_n of_o mankind_n that_o some_o shall_v be_v make_v remarkable_a instance_n of_o god_n severity_n that_o the_o punishment_n of_o a_o in_o this_o matter_n i_o have_v no_o great_a opinion_n of_o that_o extraordinary_a comfort_n and_o confidence_n which_o some_o have_v upon_o a_o sudden_a repentance_n for_o great_a and_o flagrant_a crime_n because_o i_o can_v discern_v any_o sufficient_a ground_n for_o it_o i_o think_v great_a humility_n and_o dejection_n of_o mind_n and_o a_o doubtful_a apprehension_n of_o their_o condition_n next_o almost_o to_o despair_v of_o it_o will_v much_o better_o become_v they_o because_o their_o case_n be_v real_o so_o very_o doubtful_a in_o itself_o there_o be_v great_a reason_n for_o the_o repentance_n of_o such_o person_n and_o it_o become_v they_o well_o but_o i_o see_v very_o little_a reason_n for_o their_o great_a comfort_n and_o confidence_n nor_o do_v it_o become_v their_o circumstance_n and_o condition_n let_v they_o excercise_n as_o deep_a a_o repentance_n as_o be_v possible_a and_o bring_v forth_o all_o the_o fruit_n meet_v for_o it_o that_o be_v possible_a in_o so_o short_a a_o time_n let_v they_o humble_v themselves_o before_o god_n and_o pray_v incessant_o to_o he_o day_n and_o night_n for_o mercy_n make_v all_o the_o reparation_n they_o can_v for_o the_o injury_n they_o have_v do_v by_o confession_n and_o acknowledgement_n and_o by_o make_v satisfaction_n to_o the_o party_n injure_v if_o it_o be_v in_o their_o power_n by_o give_v alm_n to_o the_o he_o give_v we_o a_o merciful_a warning_n to_o avoid_v his_o heavy_a blow_n when_o mercy_n alone_o will_v not_o work_v upon_o we_o and_o win_v we_o but_o be_v feed_v to_o the_o full_a we_o grow_v
