to_o settle_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o the_o people_n a_o high_a esteem_n of_o it_o &_o which_o be_v the_o only_a foundation_n of_o all_o their_o safety_n and_o welfare_n that_o they_o may_v still_o own_v it_o as_o the_o city_n which_o god_n have_v choose_v to_o be_v the_o only_a peculiar_a place_n of_o his_o worship_n and_o the_o royal_a seat_n of_o that_o kingdom_n under_o which_o they_o be_v to_o live_v in_o subjection_n unto_o all_o succeed_a generation_n verse_n 4._o whether_o the_o tribe_n go_v up_o etc._n etc._n to_o wit_n at_o the_o three_o solemn_a feast_n the_o tribe_n of_o the_o lord_n unto_o the_o testimony_n of_o israel_n that_o be_v unto_o the_o ark_n which_o be_v call_v the_o testimony_n see_v the_o note_n numb_a 17.4_o or_o unto_o the_o tabernacle_n or_o the_o temple_n as_o for_o that_o last_o clause_n until_o that_o he_o have_v mercy_n upon_o we_o as_o it_o imply_v their_o confidence_n that_o god_n will_v help_v they_o so_o also_o their_o resolution_n patient_o to_o wait_v upon_o god_n till_o he_o be_v please_v to_o help_v though_o he_o defer_v it_o never_o so_o long_o psalm_n cxxiv_o verse_n 1._o if_o it_o have_v not_o be_v the_o lord_n who_o be_v on_o our_o side_n now_o may_v israel_n say_v etc._n etc._n some_o expositor_n conceive_v that_o david_n speak_v here_o in_o general_a of_o all_o the_o wonderful_a deliverance_n which_o god_n have_v wrought_v for_o the_o israelite_n in_o all_o age_n but_o because_o of_o those_o word_n now_o may_v israel_n say_v i_o rather_o think_v that_o he_o speak_v here_o of_o some_o particular_a deliverance_n upon_o occasion_n whereof_o this_o psalm_n be_v compose_v &_o wherein_o it_o be_v unquestionable_o clear_a that_o god_n alone_o have_v save_v they_o by_o his_o almighty_a power_n as_o haply_o that_o from_o absaloms_n conspiracy_n or_o that_o from_o the_o invasion_n of_o the_o philistine_n 2_o sam._n 5.17_o 18_o or_o some_o other_o of_o the_o like_a nature_n verse_n 3._o then_o they_o have_v swallow_v we_o up_o quick_a etc._n etc._n that_o be_v they_o have_v utter_o destroy_v we_o &_o that_o as_o speedy_o as_o a_o man_n be_v swallow_v up_o that_o fall_n into_o deep_a water_n for_o that_o he_o allude_v thereto_o in_o this_o expression_n be_v evident_a in_o the_o follow_a verse_n verse_n 4._o then_o the_o water_n
look_v not_o upon_o man_n with_o partial_a eye_n when_o he_o judge_v they_o as_o man_n do_v that_o be_v blind_v with_o gift_n and_o corrupt_a affection_n whether_o anger_n or_o love_n and_o take_v with_o the_o outward_a splendour_n of_o man_n and_o so_o despise_v the_o poor_a and_o favour_n only_o the_o great_a and_o mighty_a which_o agree_v with_o that_o expression_n the_o prophet_n use_v concern_v christ_n esa_n 11.3_o he_o shall_v not_o judge_v after_o the_o sight_n of_o his_o eye_n etc._n etc._n or_o that_o god_n judge_v not_o man_n by_o their_o action_n only_o which_o be_v the_o be_v not_o as_o the_o day_n of_o man_n and_o this_o may_v be_v understand_v general_o to_o wit_n that_o god_n be_v not_o subject_a to_o any_o such_o infirmity_n as_o man_n be_v but_o because_o of_o those_o follow_a word_n be_v thy_o year_n as_o man_n day_n that_o thou_o inquire_v after_o my_o iniquity_n and_o search_v after_o my_o sin_n it_o may_v more_o particular_o be_v mean_v either_o 1._o of_o the_o immutability_n of_o god_n that_o he_o be_v not_o as_o man_n changeable_a and_o inconstant_a to_o day_n a_o friend_n to_o morrow_n a_o enemy_n and_o therefore_o it_o can_v not_o but_o seem_v according_o therefore_o for_o the_o word_n of_o this_o verse_n thou_o know_v that_o i_o be_o not_o wicked_a and_o there_o be_v none_o that_o can_v deliver_v out_o of_o thy_o hand_n some_o conceive_v they_o be_v add_v in_o reference_n to_o the_o word_n in_o the_o two_o forego_v verse_n and_o that_o to_o prove_v that_o god_n need_v not_o to_o go_v on_o in_o such_o a_o way_n of_o search_v out_o think_v better_o refer_v these_o word_n to_o that_o which_o job_n have_v say_v before_o vers_fw-la 3._o be_v it_o good_a unto_o thou_o that_o thou_o shall_v oppress_v and_o according_o conceive_v wicked_a though_o he_o can_v not_o justify_v himself_o as_o free_v from_o sin_n as_o himself_o have_v former_o confess_v chap._n 9.20_o yet_o he_o dare_v say_v that_o god_n know_v that_o his_o heart_n be_v upright_o thou_o know_v that_o i_o be_o not_o wicked_a and_o it_o be_v indeed_o a_o very_a notable_a evidence_n of_o a_o clear_a conscience_n that_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n be_v so_o heavy_a upon_o he_o and_o his_o friend_n charge_v he_o so_o express_o with_o hypocrisy_n he_o shall_v notwithstanding_o thus_o courageous_o appeal_v to_o god_n knowledge_n of_o he_o that_o he_o be_v not_o wicked_a and_o also_o because_o he_o be_v by_o no_o mean_n able_a to_o save_v himself_o from_o god_n unresistable_a power_n none_o can_v deliver_v out_o of_o thy_o hand_n when_o humane_a power_n oppress_v there_o be_v one_o above_o they_o that_o can_v deliver_v the_o oppress_v as_o solomon_n say_v eccles_n 5.8_o he_o that_o be_v high_a than_o the_o high_a regard_v and_o there_o be_v high_a than_o they_o but_o now_o none_o can_v deliver_v out_o of_o god_n hand_n and_o therefore_o the_o innocent_a and_o righteous_a will_v be_v in_o a_o ill_a condition_n if_o he_o shall_v oppress_v they_o and_o this_o be_v the_o argument_n whereby_o job_n do_v here_o covert_o plead_v with_o god_n to_o remove_v his_o hand_n from_o he_o verse_n 8._o thy_o hand_n have_v make_v i_o and_o fashion_v i_o round_o about_o etc._n etc._n that_o be_v in_o every_o part_n all_o my_o body_n over_o yea_o every_o member_n of_o my_o body_n and_o every_o faculty_n of_o my_o soul_n the_o meaning_n be_v that_o he_o be_v whole_o the_o work_n of_o god_n own_o hand_n that_o there_o be_v not_o the_o least_o piece_n of_o he_o from_o head_n to_o foot_n within_z or_o without_o not_o so_o much_o as_o the_o nail_n upon_o his_o finger_n and_o toe_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v not_o wrought_v and_o fashion_v with_o all_o possible_a diligence_n care_n and_o skill_n and_o in_o the_o word_n there_o may_v seem_v to_o be_v a_o allusion_n to_o a_o careful_a and_o cunning_a workman_n that_o use_v when_o he_o have_v make_v any_o choice_a piece_n to_o turn_v it_o this_o way_n and_o that_o &_o to_o look_v round_o about_o to_o see_v if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v defective_a or_o that_o may_v be_v make_v more_o curious_a and_o exact_a then_o as_o yet_o it_o be_v now_o for_o the_o connection_n of_o these_o word_n with_o that_o which_o go_v before_o some_o conceive_v that_o job_n here_o prove_v what_o he_o have_v say_v in_o the_o forego_n verse_n to_o

partridge_n the_o fowler_n look_v after_o when_o the_o kite_n and_o vulture_n be_v never_o mind_v and_o thus_o it_o be_v too_o with_o beast_n and_o fish_n there_o be_v multitude_n more_o kill_v daily_o of_o those_o that_o be_v gentle_a and_o harmless_a then_o of_o those_o that_o be_v most_o mischievous_a and_o feed_v altogether_o upon_o the_o blood_n of_o other_o yea_o and_o among_o the_o plant_n of_o the_o earth_n we_o use_v to_o observe_v that_o ill_a weed_n grow_v apace_o and_o poisonous_a plant_n do_v often_o flourish_v and_o spread_v fast_o than_o those_o that_o be_v most_o useful_a and_o most_o acceptable_a among_o man_n now_o since_o we_o may_v conclude_v with_o job_n that_o none_o can_v be_v ignorant_a but_o that_o these_o thing_n be_v do_v thus_o by_o the_o special_a providence_n of_o god_n vers_fw-la 9_o who_o know_v not_o in_o all_o these_o that_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o lord_n have_v wrought_v this_o we_o may_v gather_v from_o thence_o that_o if_o god_n by_o his_o providence_n do_v for_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o own_o name_n order_v it_o thus_o among_o the_o other_o creature_n why_o may_v he_o not_o also_o order_v it_o so_o among_o man_n they_o be_v also_o the_o work_n of_o his_o own_o hand_n and_o make_v for_o his_o glory_n as_o well_o as_o the_o rest_n and_o again_o 2._o it_o may_v be_v gather_v from_o hence_o that_o none_o have_v such_o plenty_n of_o the_o creature_n beast_n foul_a or_o fish_n none_o have_v so_o great_a a_o portion_n of_o the_o earth_n as_o the_o wicked_a usual_o have_v so_o that_o all_o the_o creature_n do_v proclaim_v the_o certainty_n of_o this_o truth_n but_o than_o other_o again_o conceive_v that_o because_o zophar_n have_v such_o high_a thought_n of_o that_o which_o he_o have_v speak_v concern_v the_o incomprehensible_a wisdom_n and_o power_n of_o god_n therefore_o job_n show_v he_o that_o every_o ordinary_a man_n may_v learn_v as_o much_o as_o that_o concern_v god_n though_o he_o have_v no_o other_o instructer_n than_o the_o dumb_a unreasonable_a and_o senseless_a creature_n zophar_n have_v say_v to_o set_v forth_o the_o transcendent_a wisdom_n of_o god_n that_o it_o be_v as_o high_a as_o do_v also_o love_v to_o have_v his_o people_n walk_v in_o all_o righteousness_n and_o judgement_n before_o he_o and_o that_o he_o undertake_v to_o be_v their_o strong_a defence_n only_o upon_o that_o condition_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v righteous_a and_o just_a in_o all_o their_o way_n and_o then_o the_o follow_a clause_n must_v be_v understand_v according_o thou_o do_v establish_v equity_n to_o wit_n in_o thy_o law_n wherein_o thou_o have_v settle_v a_o equal_a form_n of_o government_n among_o thy_o people_n and_o have_v strict_o enjoin_v they_o to_o observe_v equity_n &_o judgement_n in_o all_o their_o deal_n 2._o that_o though_o the_o lord_n be_v of_o unresistable_a strength_n yet_o he_o withal_o love_v justice_n &_o judgement_n and_o do_v not_o abuse_v his_o power_n to_o oppression_n as_o other_o king_n do_v nor_o will_v do_v whatever_o he_o can_v do_v but_o only_o what_o be_v just_a to_o be_v do_v or_o 3._o that_o god_n love_v to_o employ_v his_o strength_n in_o execute_v especial_o because_o this_o be_v so_o clear_o here_o express_v in_o the_o last_o clause_n thou_o execute_a judgement_n and_o righteousness_n in_o jacob_n verse_n 5._o worship_n at_o his_o footstool_n etc._n etc._n that_o be_v by_o bow_v down_o to_o the_o very_a ground_n for_o there_o may_v be_v a_o allusion_n in_o these_o word_n to_o the_o custom_n of_o man_n present_v themselves_o before_o king_n which_o they_o be_v wont_a to_o do_v with_o bow_v their_o face_n down_o to_o their_o very_a footstool_n or_o worship_n in_o or_o towards_o his_o temple_n or_o with_o your_o face_n bow_v down_o to_o acceptance_n with_o god_n for_o though_o other_o reason_n may_v be_v give_v why_o moses_n be_v here_o number_v among_o the_o priest_n as_o 1._o because_o he_o do_v once_o execute_v the_o priest_n office_n for_o which_o see_v the_o note_n exod._n 29.11_o or_o 2._o because_o moses_n be_v of_o the_o tribe_n of_o levi_n as_o samuel_n also_o be_v and_o the_o office_n of_o the_o levite_n be_v to_o attend_v upon_o the_o sacrifice_n yet_o the_o true_a reason_n why_o he_o be_v here_o mention_v among_o the_o priest_n be_v because_o he_o together_z with_o aaron_n and_o samuel_n as_o mediator_n between_o god_n and_o the_o people_n bless_v the_o people_n in_o god_n name_n and_o by_o their_o prayer_n do_v appease_v god_n displeasure_n when_o he_o be_v offend_v with_o they_o and_o so_o do_v as_o it_o be_v uphold_v and_o preserve_v
