the_o almighty_a have_v we_o not_o think_v that_o we_o have_v have_v to_o excuse_v from_o worship_n when_o the_o afflict_a hand_n of_o god_n have_v be_v upon_o we_o we_o have_v think_v that_o not_o in_o fault_n the_o lord_n jesus_n will_v make_v a_o excuse_n christ_n do_v tender_a his_o poor_a servant_n and_o child_n in_o such_o a_o condition_n when_o he_o see_v the_o spirit_n be_v willing_a and_o the_o flesh_n weak_a they_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o excuse_v themselves_o christ_n will_n but_o even_o then_o we_o be_v call_v upon_o to_o be_v much_o in_o give_v to_o the_o lord_n worship_n the_o more_o shall_v we_o be_v in_o the_o internal_a part_n of_o worship_n the_o more_o shall_v the_o spirit_n be_v reverence_v and_o love_v and_o exercise_v act_n of_o faith_n and_o affiance_n and_o the_o more_o submit_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o lie_v low_a this_o the_o lord_n call_v for_o from_o his_o people_n in_o the_o worst_a condition_n and_o we_o have_v cause_n to_o be_v great_a distance_n and_o we_o know_v not_o how_o to_o apply_v ourselves_o to_o he_o but_o examine_v and_o see_v whether_o this_o may_v not_o be_v the_o cause_n because_o we_o have_v not_o take_v our_o opportunity_n while_o he_o be_v near_o we_o have_v neglect_v to_o worship_v he_o while_o we_o have_v strength_n and_o ability_n of_o body_n of_o pour_v out_o our_o soul_n to_o god_n and_o speak_v to_o god_n and_o no_o wonder_n the_o lord_n do_v take_v those_o opportunity_n from_o we_o and_o true_o that_o prove_v a_o great_a burden_n to_o many_o of_o god_n own_o people_n in_o the_o day_n of_o adversity_n when_o god_n bring_v they_o into_o affliction_n and_o exercise_v they_o with_o temptation_n and_o they_o see_v they_o can_v worship_v he_o in_o that_o external_a way_n o_o that_o be_v opportunity_n and_o therefore_o as_o we_o desire_v not_o to_o lie_v under_o that_o pressure_n which_o will_v be_v exceed_o heavy_a to_o god_n own_o people_n take_v heed_n how_o we_o neglect_v christ_n shall_v believe_v in_o he_o as_o lord_n in_o respect_n of_o that_o divine_a worship_n that_o be_v to_o be_v give_v to_o christ_n else_o he_o can_v worship_v christ_n aright_o nor_o give_v christ_n that_o honour_n that_o be_v due_a to_o he_o and_o so_o all_o his_o worship_n be_v lose_v three_o it_o be_v needful_a in_o respect_n of_o the_o benefit_n of_o christ_n satisfaction_n that_o man_n that_o come_v to_o christ_n must_v believe_v that_o he_o be_v eternal_a god_n and_o one_o with_o the_o father_n or_o else_o he_o can_v expect_v the_o benefit_n of_o christ_n satisfaction_n for_o if_o christ_n be_v not_o infinite_a god_n he_o can_v not_o have_v give_v satisfaction_n to_o infinite_a justice_n if_o christ_n be_v not_o god_n our_o sin_n be_v not_o purge_v away_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o infinite_a than_o no_o cover_n for_o our_o transgression_n no_o price_n then_o of_o a_o infinite_a value_n for_o the_o save_a soul_n no_o virtue_n in_o his_o righteous_a justify_v god_n though_o thou_o be_v in_o the_o dark_a and_o perplex_a and_o trouble_v in_o spirit_n about_o thy_o own_o election_n or_o the_o election_n of_o friend_n yet_o do_v thou_o resolve_v and_o say_v i_o will_v justify_v god_n though_o god_n have_v not_o choose_v i_o and_o my_o child_n &_o though_o god_n have_v not_o choose_v my_o friend_n yet_o no_o unrighteousness_n in_o he_o true_o this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o overcome_v the_o temptation_n and_o till_o a_o soul_n be_v bring_v to_o this_o a_o soul_n that_o be_v trouble_v about_o his_o election_n will_v never_o find_v rest_n till_o he_o come_v to_o justify_v god_n and_o lie_v at_o the_o foot_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o say_v lord_n though_o thou_o condemne_v i_o and_o all_o my_o child_n and_o friend_n thou_o be_v righteous_a till_o we_o justify_v god_n we_o shall_v have_v no_o peace_n in_o ourselves_o what_o a_o restless_a condition_n be_v job_n in_o when_o he_o stand_v quarrel_v with_o god_n decree_n he_o never_o have_v peace_n till_o he_o come_v to_o justify_v god_n job_n 42._o 2._o i_o know_v that_o thou_o can_v do_v every_o thing_n i_o will_v contend_v no_o more_o when_o job_n come_v thus_o to_o i_o be_o not_o send_v but_o to_o the_o lose_a sheep_n of_o the_o house_n of_o israel_n what_o follow_v she_o come_v and_o worship_v he_o she_o speak_v not_o a_o word_n of_o discontent_n but_o fall_v down_o and_o worship_v he_o this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o overcome_v the_o temptation_n when_o you_o be_v doubt_v concerine_n the_o love_n of_o god_n perplex_v about_o election_n present_o fall_v to_o worship_v the_o lord_n worship_v he_o worship_v he_o how_o worship_v he_o god_n first_o with_o the_o inward_a worship_n of_o the_o spirit_n fear_v before_o he_o that_o be_v part_n of_o his_o worship_n reverence_n the_o lord_n great_o in_o your_o heart_n notwithstanding_o all_o that_o be_v part_n of_o his_o worship_n love_v the_o lord_n let_v your_o soul_n be_v breathe_v in_o love_n towards_o he_o cleave_v unto_o he_o pursue_v after_o he_o with_o your_o spirit_n that_o be_v part_n of_o the_o inward_a worship_n commit_v your_o soul_n unto_o he_o trust_v in_o he_o cast_v yourselves_o upon_o the_o lord_n and_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n that_o be_v the_o inward_a worship_n acknowledge_v your_o dependence_n upon_o he_o resolve_v there_o to_o hang_v say_v lord_n my_o whole_a dependence_n christ_n this_o be_v internal_a worship_n and_o this_o be_v that_o worship_n that_o give_v so_o much_o glory_n to_o god_n abraham_n believe_v above_o hope_n and_o against_o hope_n and_o give_v glory_n to_o god_n when_o you_o be_v tempt_v about_o election_n thus_o worship_v he_o and_o second_o worship_v he_o with_o external_n worship_n there_o be_v two_o principal_a part_n of_o this_o worship_n that_o will_v tend_v to_o the_o silence_v of_o all_o temptation_n about_o election_n the_o first_o be_v prayer_n the_o second_o be_v thanksgiving_n when_o you_o be_v tempt_v about_o election_n or_o doubt_v of_o the_o love_n of_o god_n fall_v to_o prayer_n go_v and_o pour_v out_o a_o cry_n before_o the_o lord_n go_v and_o lament_v after_o he_o and_o say_v though_o i_o do_v not_o know_v whether_o thou_o will_v accept_v of_o i_o o_o lord_n yet_o i_o will_v cry_v after_o thou_o i_o will_v lament_v after_o thou_o cry_v after_o himself_o his_o presence_n his_o face_n his_o favour_n his_o love_a kindness_n go_v and_o cry_v after_o he_o this_o be_v the_o way_n to_o be_v rid_v of_o the_o temptation_n and_o true_o this_o will_v be_v a_o discovery_n that_o god_n have_v elect_v thou_o in_o luke_n 18._o you_o have_v christ_n speak_v there_o of_o the_o unrighteous_a judge_n who_o neither_o fear_v god_n or_o man_n but_z at_z vers_n 7._o you_o have_v he_o speak_v of_o the_o righteous_a judge_n of_o external_n worship_n be_v thanksgiving_n a_o excellent_a remedy_n against_o this_o temptation_n about_o election_n o_o desire_n that_o thy_o heart_n may_v be_v put_v into_o a_o thankful_a frame_n look_v up_o to_o god_n for_o it_o and_o plead_v with_o the_o lord_n that_o thy_o heart_n may_v be_v put_v into_o a_o thankful_a posture_n consider_v what_o thou_o have_v to_o be_v thankful_a for_o have_v he_o not_o hold_v forth_o his_o promise_n to_o thou_o have_v he_o not_o be_v work_v upon_o thy_o heart_n to_o overcome_v thy_o heart_n be_v not_o this_o worthy_a of_o thankfulness_n those_o support_n that_o thou_o have_v meet_v withal_o under_o affliction_n have_v not_o everlasting_a arm_n be_v under_o thou_o sure_o thou_o must_v say_v it_o that_o everlasting_a arm_n have_v be_v under_o thy_o soul_n in_o thankfulness_n i_o have_v hear_v of_o a_o young_a man_n very_o late_o in_o the_o town_n of_o yarmouth_n that_o be_v very_o weak_a and_o nigh_o to_o the_o grave_n and_o under_o the_o in_o such_o a_o supplication_n as_o be_v send_v up_o with_o a_o holy_a fervency_n unto_o god_n and_o indeed_o the_o lord_n bring_v his_o people_n into_o the_o furnace_n of_o affliction_n and_o of_o as_o be_v accompany_v with_o faith_n the_o promise_n be_v make_v to_o faith_n whatever_o you_o ask_v in_o my_o name_n believe_v you_o shall_v receive_v and_o the_o prayer_n of_o faith_n shall_v save_v the_o sick_a the_o prayer_n of_o faith_n can_v do_v great_a thing_n four_o this_o woman_n prayer_n be_v accompany_v with_o constancy_n she_o hold_v on_o notwithstanding_o the_o discouragement_n she_o meet_v withal_o they_o be_v very_o many_o and_o great_a the_o lord_n as_o you_o hear_v before_o be_v silent_a to_o her_o a_o long_a time_n when_o he_o speak_v he_o speak_v a_o sad_a word_n that_o he_o be_v not_o send_v to_o such_o as_o she_o be_v yet_o she_o hold_v on_o this_o discouragement_n may_v have_v beat_v she_o off_o and_o make_v she_o to_o have_v say_v well_o i_o see_v that_o there_o be_v no_o hope_n i_o shall_v lose_v my_o labour_n but_o notwithstanding_o all_o discouragement_n she_o do_v continue_v in_o supplication_n she_o worship_v and_o she_o cry_v lord_n help_n it_o and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o it_o be_v a_o day_n of_o affliction_n and_o a_o day_n of_o temptation_n job_n worship_v the_o lord_n express_v holy_a fear_n and_o reverence_n express_v love_n and_o eagle_n be_v gather_v together_o say_v christ_n the_o eagle_n will_v find_v out_o the_o dead_a body_n though_o it_o be_v never_o so_o remote_a though_o it_o lay_v in_o a_o secret_a cave_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o so_o where_o there_o be_v faith_n the_o soul_n will_v find_v out_o christ_n christ_n can_v always_o lie_v hide_v from_o the_o soul_n for_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n it_o have_v some_o resemblance_n like_o the_o eye_n of_o god_n there_o be_v nothing_o can_v be_v hide_v from_o the_o eye_n of_o god_n psal_n 139._o 7_o 8_o 9_o neither_o shall_v i_o go_v from_o thy_o presence_n if_o i_o go_v to_o heaven_n thou_o be_v there_o and_o if_o i_o make_v my_o bed_n in_o hell_n thou_o be_v there_o if_o i_o take_v the_o wing_n of_o the_o morning_n and_o dwell_v in_o the_o uttermost_a part_n of_o the_o sea_n thou_o be_v there_o and_o so_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n have_v resemblance_n to_o the_o eye_n of_o god_n though_o indeed_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n can_v always_o see_v god_n yet_o where_o there_o be_v faith_n the_o soul_n will_v be_v pursue_v after_o god_n and_o christ_n my_o soul_n follow_v hard_a after_o god_n say_v david_n psal_n 63._o 8._o david_n have_v faith_n and_o his_o soul_n press_v after_o god_n make_v hard_o after_o god_n faith_n will_v follow_v christ_n wherever_o he_o be_v if_o in_o heaven_n faith_n will_v follow_v he_o there_o if_o he_o go_v down_o to_o hell_n even_o in_o dark_a dispensation_n faith_n will_v follow_v he_o there_o if_o he_o fly_v to_o the_o uttermost_a part_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o seem_v to_o be_v at_o a_o great_a distance_n faith_n will_v follow_v he_o there_o christ_n can_v be_v hide_v always_o from_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n it_o will_v follow_v he_o when_o he_o hide_v himself_o as_o the_o spouse_n in_o the_o canticle_n when_o christ_n hide_v himself_o from_o she_o yet_o she_o follow_v he_o and_o seek_v he_o at_o home_n and_o abroad_o and_o leave_v no_o place_n unsought_a and_o she_o never_o give_v over_o till_o she_o find_v he_o seek_v till_o she_o find_v and_o at_o last_o she_o find_v he_o who_o her_o soul_n love_v nay_o i_o may_v say_v faith_n will_v see_v something_o of_o christ_n wherever_o he_o be_v not_o only_o follow_v after_o he_o but_o see_v some_o glimpse_n of_o he_o wherever_o he_o be_v though_o he_o go_v down_o into_o hell_n the_o soul_n will_v see_v something_o of_o christ_n in_o such_o a_o dark_a dispensation_n in_o the_o hard_a saying_n of_o christ_n faith_n will_v find_v something_o of_o christ_n as_o the_o lord_n call_v this_o woman_n a_o dog_n and_o yet_o she_o find_v out_o something_o of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o to_o apply_v this_o application_n brief_o first_o brethren_n o_o that_o we_o may_v take_v this_o woman_n for_o our_o pattern_n to_o follow_v after_o christ_n and_o find_v he_o out_o when_o he_o hide_v himself_o you_o that_o walk_v in_o darkness_n and_o see_v no_o light_n oh_o that_o you_o will_v look_v upon_o this_o woman_n and_o make_v she_o your_o pattern_n christ_n hide_v himself_o from_o she_o ah_o but_o she_o find_v he_o out_o and_o christ_n can_v not_o be_v hide_v one_o will_v have_v think_v it_o have_v be_v a_o bold_a part_n of_o this_o woman_n when_o christ_n retire_v himself_o into_o a_o private_a house_n that_o she_o shall_v find_v he_o out_o and_o press_v in_o upon_o he_o ah_o but_o the_o lord_n do_v not_o reprove_v she_o for_o her_o boldness_n it_o please_v christ_n well_o enough_o and_o oh_o that_o we_o may_v seek_v after_o christ_n and_o press_v in_o upon_o christ_n even_o then_o when_o jesus_n christ_n seem_v to_o hide_v himself_o that_o he_o may_v not_o be_v find_v and_o for_o your_o encouragement_n christ_n do_v christ_n seem_v to_o be_v hide_v from_o you_o as_o from_o this_o woman_n of_o câ—naan_n never_o but_o dare_v not_o expect_v much_o second_o if_o a_o man_n do_v meet_v with_o disappointment_n and_o he_o do_v apply_v himself_o to_o the_o creature_n in_o god_n way_n disappointment_n will_v not_o add_v any_o great_a trouble_n or_o vexation_n to_o that_o man_n or_o woman_n though_o he_o meet_v with_o little_a refreshment_n nay_o though_o instead_o of_o help_n and_o refreshment_n he_o shall_v thou_o have_v come_v to_o christ_n thou_o have_v complain_v of_o thy_o burden_n and_o of_o thy_o affliction_n but_o thou_o have_v not_o complain_v of_o thy_o sin_n thou_o have_v not_o complain_v of_o which_o be_v the_o great_a matter_n of_o complaint_n no_o wonder_n then_o though_o thou_o have_v meet_v with_o no_o ease_n second_o let_v i_o say_v it_o may_v be_v thou_o have_v bring_v thy_o complaint_n and_o spread_v they_o before_o the_o lord_n yet_o thou_o have_v not_o leave_v thy_o burden_n with_o the_o lord_n many_o a_o soul_n come_v with_o a_o great_a burden_n ah_o but_o it_o carry_v it_o away_o and_o do_v not_o leave_v it_o with_o the_o lord_n and_o if_o the_o burden_n be_v not_o leave_v with_o the_o lord_n no_o wonder_n that_o we_o have_v no_o ease_n christ_n be_v willing_a we_o shall_v leave_v our_o burden_n with_o he_o and_o in_o so_o do_v we_o shall_v find_v refreshment_n three_o and_o let_v i_o say_v further_o that_o it_o may_v be_v the_o lord_n have_v hear_v thy_o cry_n and_o thy_o complaint_n but_o thou_o be_v not_o aware_a of_o it_o thou_o have_v not_o take_v notice_n of_o it_o through_o unthankfulness_n thou_o have_v not_o observe_v that_o time_n of_o distress_n and_o spread_v our_o complaint_n before_o christ_n for_o in_o go_v to_o the_o creature_n many_o time_n the_o spirit_n be_v wound_v ah_o but_o in_o go_v to_o god_n the_o spirit_n shall_v be_v support_v though_o christ_n do_v not_o give_v out_o a_o present_a answer_n yet_o the_o heart_n shall_v be_v support_v under_o all_o its_o burden_n but_o now_o in_o go_v to_o man_n many_o time_n the_o heart_n and_o the_o spirit_n it_o be_v wound_v by_o those_o disappointment_n that_o we_o meet_v withal_o while_o we_o expect_v that_o from_o the_o creature_n which_o it_o can_v do_v two_o thing_n only_o i_o shall_v propound_v to_o urge_v this_o duty_n upon_o you_o to_o make_v we_o more_o in_o go_v to_o christ_n and_o less_o to_o the_o creature_n it_o be_v a_o great_a sin_n and_o folly_n when_o as_o we_o leave_v christ_n and_o go_v to_o the_o creature_n in_o the_o day_n of_o our_o distress_n first_o it_o be_v a_o great_a sin_n for_o what_o do_v we_o then_o but_o set_v up_o there_o be_v a_o world_n of_o folly_n in_o it_o in_o go_v from_o god_n in_o time_n of_o distress_n to_o the_o creature_n it_o be_v a_o piece_n of_o greâ—â—_n folly_n for_o a_o man_n to_o go_v from_o the_o fountain_n to_o the_o break_a cistern_n to_o leave_v the_o fountain_n and_o think_v a_o break_a cistern_n shall_v supply_v he_o it_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o folly_n for_o a_o man_n to_o go_v to_o a_o deaf_a man_n one_o that_o can_v hear_v pour_v out_o his_o complaint_n &_o expect_v that_o he_o shall_v speak_v a_o word_n of_o refreshment_n so_o much_o folly_n there_o be_v when_o we_o go_v to_o the_o creature_n and_o do_v not_o apply_v ourselves_o too_o god_n if_o a_o man_n shall_v go_v to_o a_o beggar_n one_o that_o have_v no_o food_n or_o raiment_n and_o a_o man_n shall_v spend_v a_o deal_n of_o time_n in_o ask_v food_n and_o raiment_n and_o if_o he_o do_v not_o give_v it_o go_v away_o rail_v what_o a_o deal_n of_o folly_n be_v it_o and_o so_o a_o great_a deal_n of_o folly_n there_o be_v when_o we_o do_v go_v to_o the_o creature_n and_o do_v not_o go_v to_o god_n we_o go_v to_o they_o that_o be_v poor_a and_o naked_a and_o forsake_v god_n that_o have_v all_o store_n of_o creature_n can_v no_o it_o be_v god_n only_o i_o create_v the_o fruit_n of_o the_o lip_n peaâ—y_v peace_n now_o when_o a_o soul_n look_v up_o to_o the_o lord_n and_o meet_v with_o nothing_o from_o he_o and_o know_v that_o there_o be_v no_o answer_n to_o be_v expect_v from_o the_o creature_n this_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o great_a and_o a_o sore_a trial_n five_o it_o will_v appear_v to_o be_v a_o great_a trial_n if_o we_o consider_v that_o the_o flesh_n and_o devil_n be_v exceed_o ready_a to_o make_v a_o great_a advantage_n of_o this_o providence_n of_o god_n and_o dispensation_n towards_o his_o people_n for_o they_o will_v improve_v this_o to_o the_o dishonour_n of_o god_n and_o discomfort_n of_o the_o soul_n and_o therefore_o a_o great_a trial_n in_o two_o or_o three_o particular_n i_o shall_v show_v you_o how_o ready_a the_o flesh_n and_o devil_n be_v to_o improve_v this_o to_o god_n dishonour_n and_o the_o soul_n discomfort_v first_o the_o flesh_n and_o devil_n will_v raise_v up_o many_o doubt_n and_o jealousy_n and_o mis-giving_a thoughtâ—â—_n both_o concern_v god_n and_o concern_v a_o man_n own_o condition_n and_o concern_v the_o duty_n and_o service_n which_o be_v offer_v up_o to_o the_o lord_n they_o will_v make_v the_o soul_n to_o doubt_v of_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n to_o doubt_v of_o the_o freegrace_n of_o god_n to_o doubt_v of_o the_o faithfulness_n of_o god_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n sure_o say_v unbelief_n the_o lord_n be_v not_o so_o gracious_a as_o thou_o have_v take_v he_o to_o be_v thou_o have_v rest_v upon_o the_o arm_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o thou_o have_v believe_v his_o grace_n to_o be_v sufficient_a for_o thou_o in_o every_o condition_n thou_o have_v look_v towards_o he_o as_o towards_o a_o infinite_a compassionate_a god_n but_o where_o be_v the_o compassion_n of_o the_o lord_n now_o not_o to_o speak_v one_o word_n to_o relieve_v and_o comfort_v thou_o thus_o will_v the_o devil_n and_o the_o unbelieving_a heart_n when_o as_o the_o soul_n have_v seek_v the_o lord_n and_o the_o lord_n not_o answer_v present_o the_o soul_n begin_v to_o doubt_v oh_o sure_o i_o be_o no_o child_n of_o god_n no_o sponse_n no_o friend_n god_n can_v not_o deal_v so_o with_o child_n not_o to_o give_v one_o word_n of_o comfort_n not_o one_o word_n of_o answer_n oh_o sure_o i_o be_o a_o hypocrite_n for_o the_o prayer_n of_o the_o upright_o be_v his_o delight_n and_o if_o there_o be_v any_o truth_n of_o heart_n in_o i_o the_o lord_n will_v give_v out_o a_o answer_n and_o thus_o the_o devil_n and_o the_o flesh-raise_a many_o jealousy_n and_o fear_n about_o the_o soul_n eternal_a state_n or_o three_o if_o the_o devil_n and_o the_o flesh_n prevail_v not_o so_o far_o as_o to_o cause_v the_o soul_n to_o question_v the_o goodness_n of_o god_n and_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n or_o to_o question_v its_o own_o sonship_n yet_o they_o will_v prevail_v so_o far_o as_o to_o make_v the_o soul_n question_v his_o service_n and_o his_o duty_n which_o it_o have_v perform_v to_o god_n oh_o sure_o i_o have_v not_o speak_v to_o the_o lord_n as_o i_o ought_v sure_o i_o have_v not_o be_v fervent_a in_o spirit_n serve_v the_o lord_n my_o prayer_n have_v be_v but_o word_n of_o my_o own_o not_o the_o teach_n of_o his_o spirit_n if_o it_o have_v be_v his_o own_o spirit_n the_o lord_n will_v have_v hear_v his_o own_o spirit_n way_n of_o sin_n that_o his_o heart_n close_v with_o the_o lord_n will_v be_v silent_a to_o his_o prayer_n if_o any_o iniquity_n be_v regard_v no_o wonder_n though_o the_o lord_n do_v not_o hear_v yea_o sometime_o god_n own_o people_n be_v find_v remiss_a in_o their_o duty_n and_o though_o they_o pray_v they_o pray_v remissly_a and_o cold_o their_o prayer_n be_v accompany_v with_o so_o much_o poor_a tradesman_n in_o conclusion_n that_o soul_n that_o do_v not_o look_v after_o the_o return_n of_o prayer_n lose_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o faith_n and_o dependence_n and_o experience_n for_o god_n by_o give_v out_o a_o answer_n to_o the_o prayer_n of_o his_o people_n he_o do_v encourage_v they_o and_o engage_v they_o to_o trust_v in_o he_o at_o all_o time_n so_o long_o as_o they_o live_v they_o that_o lose_v the_o return_n of_o prayer_n lose_v the_o strengthen_n of_o faith_n and_o the_o engage_v of_o their_o heart_n to_o god_n but_o second_o let_v i_o speak_v to_o such_o poor_a soul_n as_o be_v in_o the_o same_o condition_n with_o this_o woman_n of_o canaan_n that_o have_v pray_v and_o have_v not_o meet_v with_o one_o word_n of_o answer_n poor_a soul_n be_v this_o the_o condition_n of_o any_o of_o you_o i_o know_v that_o it_o have_v be_v and_o may_v still_o be_v the_o condition_n of_o the_o lord_n dear_a servant_n they_o may_v pray_v and_o the_o lord_n may_v seem_v to_o give_v no_o answer_n remember_v it_o be_v so_o with_o david_n jeremiah_n and_o habakkuk_n and_o with_o christ_n himself_o and_o let_v i_o say_v this_o unto_o thou_o that_o if_o thou_o regard_v any_o iniquity_n in_o thy_o heart_n any_o know_a sin_n that_o thou_o regard_v or_o connive_v at_o or_o if_o there_o be_v slightness_n in_o the_o performance_n of_o thy_o duty_n or_o content_a thyself_o with_o a_o slothful_a performance_n of_o thy_o duty_n or_o thou_o do_v not_o regard_v thy_o prayer_n when_o thou_o have_v put_v it_o up_o to_o the_o lord_n for_o this_o we_o have_v cause_n to_o be_v humble_v and_o no_o wonder_n the_o lord_n do_v not_o answer_v our_o prayer_n but_o now_o if_o thy_o own_o spirit_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n can_v testify_v that_o thou_o desire_v to_o regard_v no_o iniquity_n in_o thy_o heart_n but_o to_o walk_v up_o to_o thy_o duty_n and_o desire_v to_o be_v conformable_a to_o christ_n and_o desire_v to_o cry_v in_o faith_n and_o to_o wait_v upon_o the_o lord_n for_o a_o answer_n be_v of_o good_a comfort_n
christ_n account_v as_o child_n there_o and_o servant_n there_o and_o friend_n there_o that_o they_o shall_v walk_v so_o as_o christ_n shall_v be_v dishonour_v professor_n look_v to_o it_o and_o you_o especial_o that_o be_v church_n member_n your_o scandal_n your_o open_a sin_n bring_v more_o dishonour_n to_o christ_n than_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n your_o sin_n be_v a_o shame_n to_o christ_n they_o reflect_v to_o the_o dishonour_n of_o christ_n and_o shame_n to_o christ_n it_o be_v a_o sad_a thing_n that_o man_n shall_v look_v upon_o professor_n and_o say_v they_o be_v like_o the_o world_n they_o make_v a_o profession_n ah_o but_o they_o be_v as_o greedy_a after_o the_o world_n as_o wicked_a man_n and_o they_o be_v as_o proud_a as_o the_o devil_n himself_o o_o that_o professor_n may_v not_o give_v occasion_n for_o wicked_a man_n thus_o to_o speak_v for_o this_o will_v be_v a_o dishonour_n to_o christ_n when_o you_o see_v a_o child_n rude_a and_o deboist_a you_o will_v say_v who_o be_v his_o father_n or_o who_o be_v his_o master_n what_o have_v he_o no_o father_n or_o no_o master_n o_o what_o a_o shame_n be_v it_o to_o the_o master_n of_o the_o house_n and_o so_o for_o professor_n when_o man_n shall_v look_v upon_o those_o of_o corrupt_a conversation_n and_o they_o shall_v say_v who_o be_v their_o master_n what_o christ_n their_o master_n and_o they_o speak_v so_o and_o so_o and_o walk_v so_o and_o so_o o_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v make_v they_o that_o have_v the_o profession_n of_o christ_n upon_o they_o watchful_a in_o this_o take_v heed_n the_o strong_a endeavour_n and_o pursuit_n of_o thy_o soul_n be_v after_o god_n that_o thou_o may_v enjoy_v god_n and_o act_n for_o god_n and_o serve_v he_o that_o be_v the_o first_o particular_a you_o see_v what_o it_o be_v to_o remember_v god_n but_o second_o creator_n the_o second_o thing_n be_v to_o show_v you_o what_o cause_n there_o be_v that_o all_o the_o son_n of_o man_n shall_v remember_v their_o creator_n first_o of_o all_o god_n be_v worthy_a yea_o only_a worthy_a to_o be_v remember_v what_o be_v in_o any_o creature_n in_o any_o object_n that_o do_v make_v it_o worthy_a remember_v of_o the_o son_n of_o man_n second_o he_o be_v worthy_a to_o be_v remember_v because_o he_o have_v do_v so_o much_o to_o be_v remember_v god_n have_v take_v more_o care_n of_o this_o one_o thing_n than_o he_o have_v do_v of_o any_o thing_n else_o beside_o the_o great_a work_n of_o the_o salvation_n of_o his_o people_n that_o the_o son_n of_o man_n may_v remember_v he_o when_o man_n go_v
