when_o man_n have_v see_v some_o excellency_n in_o the_o creature_n they_o have_v be_v take_v with_o it_o and_o there_o have_v stick_v and_o have_v not_o be_v carry_v from_o the_o creature_n to_o god_n and_o that_o be_v heathen_n idolatry_n when_o they_o see_v a_o excellency_n in_o the_o sun_n they_o think_v that_o be_v god_n so_o christian_n idolatry_n may_v be_v in_o this_o if_o there_o be_v any_o creature-comfort_n that_o thy_o heart_n close_v withal_o and_o there_o thou_o do_v stick_v and_o thy_o heart_n be_v not_o carry_v to_o god_n yea_o be_v not_o carry_v to_o god_n in_o such_o a_o disproportion_n as_o there_o be_v between_o he_o and_o the_o creature_n i_o say_v so_o far_o as_o thou_o want_v that_o that_o thou_o be_v capable_a of_o in_o this_o kind_n so_o far_o thou_o be_v guilty_a of_o idolatry_n oh_o that_o this_o one_o note_n may_v stick_v upon_o we_o there_o be_v none_o like_o unto_o thou_o o_o lord_n can_v thou_o say_v this_o out_o of_o the_o uprightness_n of_o be_v in_o a_o sad_a in_o a_o suffer_a condition_n first_o because_o that_o the_o only_a comfort_n of_o all_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n then_o be_v their_o expectation_n of_o the_o messiah_n to_o come_v god_n will_v therefore_o propound_v christ_n unto_o they_o as_o that_o that_o may_v lighten_v all_o their_o darkness_n that_o may_v sweeten_v all_o their_o sorrow_n and_o trouble_n and_o indeed_o there_o be_v enough_o in_o this_o in_o their_o expectation_n of_o the_o saviour_n that_o be_v to_o come_v this_o be_v that_o that_o make_v their_o heart_n rejoice_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o their_o sorrow_n abraham_n see_v his_o day_n and_o rejoice_v 8.56_o joh._n 8.56_o and_o be_v glad_a second_o therefore_o have_v they_o the_o clear_a manifestation_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o outward_a trouble_n to_o confirm_v their_o faith_n in_o this_o that_o however_o their_o enemy_n prevail_v much_o against_o they_o yet_o it_o be_v impossible_a that_o they_o shall_v root_v out_o the_o nation_n of_o the_o jew_n for_o the_o great_a saviour_n of_o the_o world_n be_v to_o come_v out_o of_o they_o therefore_o they_o be_v under_o god_n protection_n and_o though_o they_o may_v suffer_v somewhat_o yet_o they_o can_v not_o cease_v from_o be_v a_o nation_n because_o that_o the_o messiah_n be_v to_o
come_v out_o from_o they_o and_o this_o be_v a_o great_a encouragement_n unto_o they_o to_o expect_v mercy_n from_o god_n because_o they_o be_v a_o people_n that_o the_o lord_n will_v bring_v the_o great_a saviour_n of_o the_o world_n out_o of_o and_o then_o three_o that_o by_o the_o propound_v of_o so_o great_a a_o mercy_n as_o jesus_n christ_n shall_v be_v to_o the_o world_n they_o may_v hereby_o have_v a_o help_n to_o their_o faith_n that_o sure_o god_n will_v not_o deny_v they_o lesser_a mercy_n what_o great_a matter_n be_v it_o for_o they_o to_o expect_v from_o god_n deliverance_n from_o some_o outward_a affliction_n when_o as_o god_n make_v know_v unto_o they_o that_o love_n and_o that_o infinite_a compassion_n those_o tender_a bowel_n of_o he_o even_o to_o send_v his_o own_o son_n into_o the_o world_n for_o they_o and_o then_o fourthly_a it_o be_v to_o teach_v they_o this_o that_o the_o way_n of_o deliverance_n from_o any_o outward_a affliction_n it_o be_v to_o exercise_v their_o faith_n upon_o christ_n the_o messia_n that_o be_v to_o come_v the_o lord_n will_v teach_v his_o church_n when_o it_o be_v in_o affliction_n not_o so_o much_o to_o be_v look_v at_o the_o present_a affliction_n that_o be_v upon_o they_o and_o so_o to_o seek_v for_o outward_a help_n and_o mean_n of_o deliverance_n but_o will_v have_v they_o exercise_v their_o faith_n upon_o the_o messia_n that_o be_v to_o come_v though_o many_o hundred_o year_n after_o and_o this_o exercise_n of_o faith_n be_v so_o please_v to_o god_n as_o it_o be_v the_o only_a mean_n or_o the_o chief_a mean_n of_o deliverance_n from_o all_o outward_a affliction_n nay_o say_v god_n if_o so_o be_v that_o they_o will_v rely_v upon_o i_o and_o exercise_v their_o faith_n upon_o that_o great_a promise_n of_o i_o to_o send_v my_o son_n into_o the_o world_n as_o for_o their_o deliverance_n out_o of_o these_o outward_a trouble_n and_o affliction_n it_o shall_v be_v but_o a_o little_a matter_n for_o i_o to_o do_v that_o for_o they_o ordinary_o when_o we_o be_v exercise_v with_o outward_a affliction_n we_o only_o think_v of_o some_o natural_a help_n and_o comfort_n contrary_a to_o those_o particular_a affliction_n that_o be_v upon_o we_o whereas_o the_o way_n indeed_o for_o we_o to_o sanctify_v god_n name_n to_o do_v that_o that_o be_v acceptable_a to_o god_n when_o any_o outward_a affliction_n befall_v we_o it_o be_v present_o to_o exercise_v our_o faith_n upon_o the_o great_a promise_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n upon_o the_o great_a covenant_n of_o grace_n that_o god_n have_v make_v
