the_o sword_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o if_o they_o come_v thus_o clothe_v and_o thus_o arm_v they_o may_v just_o then_o be_v say_v to_o long_o for_o the_o court_n of_o the_o lord_n but_o if_o they_o wear_v not_o these_o garman_n their_o longing_n will_v prove_v but_o a_o false_a conception_n and_o they_o shall_v hear_v it_o say_v friend_n what_o make_v thou_o here_o without_o a_o wedding_n that_o can_v be_v without_o he_o for_o alas_o if_o he_o shall_v leave_v they_o what_o will_v become_v of_o they_o what_o will_v my_o heart_n be_v but_o as_o a_o dead_a corpse_n and_o what_o will_v my_o flesh_n be_v but_o as_o the_o coffin_n thou_o afforde_o o_o lord_n thy_o mean_a creature_n verse_n 3_o their_o place_n of_o rest_n and_o pleasure_n the_o sparrow_n have_v find_v a_o house_n and_o the_o swallow_v a_o nest_n for_o herself_o where_o she_o may_v lay_v her_o young_a and_o will_v thou_o not_o afford_v i_o to_o enjoy_v thy_o altar_n the_o only_a place_n of_o rest_n and_o pleasure_n to_o my_o soul_n alas_o o_o lord_n if_o thou_o will_v not_o afford_v i_o thy_o altar_n for_o place_n of_o pleasure_n at_o least_o afford_v they_o to_o i_o for_o place_n of_o devotion_n that_o if_o i_o can_v make_v they_o a_o nest_n for_o my_o young_a one_o my_o humble_a meditation_n and_o my_o penitent_a submission_n at_o least_o i_o may_v offer_v upon_o they_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o prayer_n of_o praise_n and_o thanksgiving_n i_o know_v before_o by_o thy_o court_n thou_o be_v a_o king_n and_o now_o i_o know_v by_o thy_o altar_n thou_o be_v a_o god_n that_o confident_o now_o i_o can_v say_v o_o lord_n of_o host_n my_o king_n and_o my_o god_n that_o if_o i_o fear_v thou_o before_o as_o lord_n of_o host_n i_o honour_v thou_o more_o now_o as_o my_o king_n and_o adore_v thou_o more_o yet_o as_o my_o god_n which_o as_o they_o be_v to_o thou_o the_o tender_a of_o my_o dutifulnesse_n so_o they_o be_v no_o less_o to_o i_o the_o mean_n of_o my_o blessedness_n verse_n 4_o for_o bless_a be_v they_o that_o dwell_v in_o thy_o house_n they_o will_v still_o be_v praise_v thou_o but_o alas_o how_o happen_v this_o there_o be_v tabernacle_n before_o as_o belong_v to_o a_o lord_n and_o court_n as_o in_o a_o fall_n no_o my_o soul_n it_o be_v no_o fall_n it_o be_v a_o aggregation_n rather_o of_o all_o the_o other_o for_o where_o his_o tabernacle_n do_v but_o serve_v to_o show_v his_o power_n his_o court_n but_o to_o show_v his_o majesty_n his_o altar_n but_o to_o show_v his_o deity_n his_o house_n serve_v to_o show_v they_o all_o for_o in_o his_o house_n there_o will_v be_v still_o praise_v he_o and_o his_o praise_n and_o glory_n be_v the_o sum_n of_o all_o or_o be_v it_o that_o to_o dwell_v in_o god_n house_n be_v a_o kind_n of_o appropriate_v he_o to_o ourselves_o see_v his_o tabernacle_n and_o his_o court_n lie_v open_a to_o stranger_n his_o house_n open_a to_o none_o but_o his_o servant_n and_o see_v in_o the_o nearness_n to_o god_n and_o converse_v with_o he_o consist_v all_o true_a blessedness_n therefore_o bless_a be_v they_o that_o dwell_v in_o his_o house_n but_o how_o dwell_v in_o it_o not_o to_o look_v in_o sometime_o as_o we_o pass_v by_o or_o to_o stay_v in_o it_o may_v be_v doubt_v when_o david_n say_v blessed_n be_v they_o that_o dwell_v in_o god_n house_n what_o dwelling_n it_o be_v he_o mean_v whither_o dwell_v in_o it_o as_o tenant_n or_o as_o servant_n for_o if_o as_o tenant_n it_o be_v like_o there_o be_v some_o rent_n to_o be_v pay_v and_o there_o be_v small_a blessedness_n in_o pay_v of_o rent_n it_o will_v be_v a_o more_o bless_a thing_n if_o they_o can_v dwell_v in_o his_o house_n and_o pay_v he_o no_o rent_n if_o as_o servant_n it_o be_v like_o there_o be_v some_o work_n to_o be_v do_v and_o there_o be_v small_a blessedness_n in_o work_v it_o will_v be_v a_o more_o bless_a thing_n if_o they_o can_v be_v his_o servant_n and_o do_v no_o work_n and_o how_o then_o come_v any_o blessedness_n in_o by_o dwell_v in_o his_o house_n indeed_o take_v it_o either_o way_n let_v they_o dwell_v in_o his_o house_n as_o tenant_n or_o as_o servant_n and_o they_o shall_v be_v bless_v let_v they_o have_v rend_v to_o pay_v as_o tenant_n let_v they_o have_v work_n to_o do_v as_o servant_n and_o yet_o they_o shall_v be_v bless_v and_o that_o which_o may_v seem_v most_o strange_a the_o rent_n and_o the_o work_n which_o seem_v to_o hinder_v their_o blessedness_n be_v the_o very_a thing_n that_o make_v they_o be_v bless_v for_o they_o be_v both_o but_o one_o thing_n both_o but_o praise_v of_o god_n and_o praise_v of_o god_n be_v the_o only_a thing_n that_o whether_o they_o be_v tenant_n or_o servant_n whether_o bond_n or_o free_a will_v make_v they_o be_v bless_v and_o yet_o there_o be_v a_o dwelling_n that_o have_v not_o yet_o be_v think_v of_o a_o dwelling_n indeed_o that_o make_v the_o true_a blessedness_n and_o it_o be_v to_o dwell_v in_o god_n house_n neither_o as_o tenant_n nor_o yet_o as_o servant_n but_o as_o son_n for_o neither_o tenant_n nor_o servant_n abide_v in_o the_o house_n for_o ever_o only_o the_o son_n abide_v for_o ever_o and_o therefore_o though_o the_o house_n of_o god_n seem_v a_o mean_a title_n than_o his_o tabernacle_n and_o his_o court_n yet_o to_o we_o it_o be_v the_o more_o comfortable_a title_n see_v it_o make_v we_o to_o be_v son_n which_o neither_o his_o tabernacle_n nor_o his_o court_n can_v do_v but_o how_o appear_v it_o to_o be_v true_a that_o they_o who_o dwell_v in_o god_n house_n will_v always_o be_v praise_v he_o see_v it_o be_v but_o seldom_o see_v that_o servant_n be_v so_o forward_o to_o praise_v their_o master_n o_o my_o soul_n it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o the_o good_a disposition_n of_o the_o servant_n as_o the_o infinite_a worthiness_n of_o the_o master_n that_o make_v they_o to_o praise_v he_o for_o when_o they_o see_v the_o admirable_a o_o economy_n of_o his_o government_n when_o they_o see_v how_o sweet_o he_o dispose_v all_o thing_n in_o weight_n and_o measure_n when_o they_o find_v he_o to_o use_v they_o more_o like_a child_n than_o servant_n what_o heart_n can_v be_v so_o ungrateful_a as_o not_o to_o praise_v he_o and_o see_v by_o dwell_v in_o god_n house_n they_o see_v these_o thing_n continual_o therefore_o they_o that_o dwell_v in_o his_o house_n will_v always_o be_v praise_v he_o but_o be_v it_o not_o a_o strange_a reason_n of_o blessedness_n to_o say_v they_o be_v bless_v because_o they_o be_v still_o praise_v he_o to_o be_v praise_v themselves_o may_v perhaps_o be_v some_o blessedness_n but_o what_o blessedness_n can_v it_o be_v to_o praise_v another_o indeed_o if_o that_o other_o be_v but_o such_o another_o as_o ourselves_o it_o can_v be_v none_o but_o when_o that_o other_o be_v such_o as_o that_o there_o be_v not_o such_o another_o or_o rather_o not_o another_o at_o all_o to_o praise_v such_o a_o one_o certain_o must_v needs_o be_v blessedness_n or_o there_o can_v be_v none_o and_o such_o a_o one_o be_v god_n for_o alas_o what_o be_v we_o but_o that_o in_o he_o we_o live_v and_o move_v and_o have_v our_o be_v he_o only_o be_v all_o in_o all._n o_o my_o soul_n if_o it_o be_v not_o for_o praise_v of_o god_n there_o have_v never_o be_v create_v such_o a_o thing_n as_o praise_n at_o least_o we_o may_v just_o say_v that_o god_n and_o praise_v be_v as_o true_o relative_n as_o any_o that_o be_v find_v in_o either_o art_n or_o nature_n you_o may_v say_v then_o it_o be_v like_a to_o be_v a_o easy_a matter_n to_o be_v bless_v if_o there_o go_v no_o more_o to_o blessedness_n but_o praise_v
fruition_n but_o when_o thou_o vouchsafe_v to_o look_v upon_o my_o face_n that_o look_v of_o thou_o have_v a_o influence_n of_o all_o true_a blessedness_n and_o make_v i_o find_v what_o a_o happiness_n it_o be_v to_o have_v the_o god_n of_o jacob_n for_o my_o shield_n but_o it_o shall_v seem_v that_o this_o prayer_n belong_v only_o to_o david_n or_o at_o least_o to_o king_n who_o like_o david_n be_v the_o lord_n anoint_a and_o what_o be_v it_o then_o to_o we_o that_o be_v private_a person_n it_o be_v true_a indeed_o that_o king_n be_v the_o lord_n anoint_a in_o a_o special_a manner_n but_o yet_o every_o child_n of_o god_n be_v his_o anoint_a too_o for_o why_o else_o be_v it_o say_v of_o christ_n that_o he_o be_v anoint_a with_o the_o oil_n of_o gladness_n above_o his_o fellow_n if_o it_o be_v not_o that_o his_o fellow_n mean_v the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v anoint_a too_o anoint_v no_o doubt_n with_o the_o oil_n of_o grace_n but_o to_o be_v anoint_a with_o the_o oil_n of_o gladness_n be_v the_o very_a thing_n i_o pray_v for_o here_o the_o very_a thing_n that_o make_v i_o long_o so_o much_o for_o the_o court_n of_o the_o lord_n for_o one_o day_n verse_n 10_o in_o his_o court_n be_v better_a than_o a_o thousand_o it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o the_o length_n of_o time_n as_o the_o measure_n of_o joy_n that_o make_v the_o blessedness_n or_o be_v it_o that_o one_o day_n which_o shall_v never_o end_v as_o the_o day_n be_v in_o god_n court_n be_v better_a than_o a_o thousand_o which_o have_v a_o end_n as_o all_o the_o day_n of_o this_o world_n be_v if_o he_o have_v say_v one_o day_n in_o his_o court_n be_v as_o good_a as_o a_o thousand_o though_o this_o have_v be_v a_o mighty_a odds_o yet_o it_o have_v be_v but_o a_o thousand_o to_o one_o there_o have_v at_o least_o be_v some_o proportion_n but_o when_o he_o say_v one_o day_n in_o his_o court_n be_v better_o than_o a_o thousand_o this_o seem_v to_o exceed_v all_o possibility_n of_o comparison_n and_o leave_v no_o place_n for_o any_o proportion_n indeed_o one_o day_n in_o his_o court_n give_v seisin_n of_o eternity_n where_o a_o thousand_o that_o be_v spend_v any_o where_o else_o be_v but_o step_n of_o mortality_n if_o i_o be_v but_o one_o day_n in_o his_o court_n i_o shall_v see_v that_o which_o will_v be_v a_o joy_n unto_o i_o all_o the_o day_n of_o my_o life_n where_o if_o i_o be_v a_o thousand_o in_o any_o other_o court_n i_o shall_v see_v nothing_o but_o vanity_n and_o vexation_n of_o spirit_n that_o which_o will_v grieve_v i_o to_o think_v of_o as_o often_o as_o i_o remember_v it_o and_o as_o it_o be_v true_a in_o respect_n of_o time_n so_o it_o be_v no_o less_o true_a in_o respect_n of_o place_n for_o i_o have_v rather_o be_v a_o doorkeeper_n in_o the_o house_n of_o my_o god_n then_o to_o dwell_v in_o the_o tent_n of_o wickedness_n but_o be_v it_o such_o a_o disparagement_n to_o be_v a_o doorkeeper_n what_o be_v the_o angel_n with_o the_o flame_a sword_n but_o the_o doorkeeper_n of_o paradise_n and_o be_v there_o not_o a_o conceit_n that_o saint_n peter_n be_v the_o doorkeeper_n of_o heaven_n which_o though_o it_o be_v a_o vain_a conceit_n yet_o it_o may_v lead_v we_o to_o this_o congruous_a interpretation_n of_o david_n speech_n to_o conceive_v as_o if_o he_o say_v that_o he_o have_v rather_o be_v saint_n peter_n in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n then_o be_v annas_n or_o caiphas_n in_o the_o court_n of_o herod_n indeed_o in_o the_o sense_n that_o christ_n be_v a_o door_n david_n may_v well_o be_v content_a to_o be_v a_o doorkeeper_n and_o though_o in_o god_n house_n there_o be_v many_o mansion_n yet_o see_v all_o of_o they_o be_v glorious_a even_o the_o doorkeeper_n place_n be_v not_o without_o its_o glory_n but_o if_o you_o think_v the_o office_n to_o be_v mean_a consider_v then_o who_o officer_n he_o be_v for_o even_o a_o doorkeeper_n be_v a_o officer_n in_o god_n house_n and_o god_n never_o displace_v his_o officer_n unless_o it_o be_v to_o advance_v they_o to_o a_o high_a where_o in_o the_o court_n of_o prince_n the_o great_a officer_n be_v oftentime_o displace_v turn_v off_o often_o with_o disgrace_n however_o it_o be_v it_o show_v not_o only_o the_o great_a glory_n of_o god_n house_n but_o the_o great_a humility_n of_o david_n heart_n and_o that_o he_o be_v not_o of_o the_o ambitious_a humour_n of_o the_o mother_n of_o zebedees_n son_n who_o no_o place_n will_v serve_v for_o her_o son_n but_o to_o have_v one_o of_o they_o sit_v at_o his_o right_a hand_n the_o other_o at_o his_o left_a o_o gracious_a god_n grant_v i_o but_o a_o doorkeeper_n place_n in_o thy_o house_n and_o i_o will_v never_o aspire_v after_o any_o high_a room_n not_o that_o i_o desire_v to_o let_v in_o and_o keep_v out_o who_o i_o please_v but_o that_o i_o may_v thereby_o have_v liberty_n to_o walk_v in_o thy_o house_n and_o to_o enjoy_v thy_o presence_n in_o who_o presence_n be_v the_o fullness_n of_o joy_n for_o evermore_o what_o be_v the_o tent_n of_o wickedness_n but_o like_o cave_n that_o have_v no_o light_n and_o like_a vineyard_n that_o have_v no_o fence_n and_o be_v there_o any_o comparison_n to_o be_v make_v between_o such_o tent_n and_o the_o mean_a place_n in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n where_o god_n not_o only_o afford_v light_a but_o be_v himself_o the_o light_n not_o only_o be_v a_o defendor_n but_o the_o defence_n itself_o for_o the_o lord_n be_v a_o sun_n and_o shield_n the_o lord_n will_v give_v grace_n and_o glory_n i_o have_v hear_v verse_n 11_o before_o that_o in_o sole_a posuit_fw-la tabernaculum_fw-la suum_fw-la god_n have_v place_v his_o tabernacle_n in_o the_o sun_n but_o i_o never_o know_v he_o be_v himself_o a_o sun_n till_o now_o but_o what_o sun_n not_o the_o sun_n that_o be_v but_o the_o child_n of_o light_n but_o the_o sun_n who_o be_v the_o father_n of_o light_n not_o the_o sun_n that_o be_v not_o till_o three_o day_n after_o it_o be_v light_a but_o the_o sun_n that_o be_v before_o soon_o thou_o go_v about_o it_o the_o better_a thou_o be_v likely_a to_o perform_v it_o for_o forgetfulness_n be_v a_o thing_n that_o grow_v soon_o upon_o we_o and_o nothing_o soon_o than_o forget_v of_o benefit_n our_o memory_n be_v very_o apt_a to_o retain_v injury_n but_o very_o unapt_a for_o retain_v of_o benefit_n for_o as_o long_o as_o we_o remember_v a_o benefit_n we_o seem_v to_o stand_v upon_o the_o rack_n of_o a_o obligation_n to_o requite_v it_o and_o who_o be_v not_o willing_a to_o come_v off_o a_o rack_n by_o any_o mean_n he_o can_v and_o then_o rather_o by_o forget_v a_o benefit_n then_o by_o requite_v it_o and_o perhaps_o we_o think_v it_o a_o kind_n of_o payment_n if_o we_o can_v but_o forget_v we_o owe_v it_o but_o o_o my_o soul_n consider_v that_o god_n expect_v no_o retaliation_n of_o we_o he_o look_v for_o no_o requite_v at_o our_o hand_n alas_o he_o know_v we_o be_v not_o able_a he_o take_v it_o in_o good_a part_n if_o but_o only_o we_o remember_v his_o benefit_n and_o shall_v we_o not_o be_v most_o ungrateful_a they_o be_v so_o great_a and_o so_o many_o as_o they_o be_v if_o we_o shall_v not_o afford_v he_o so_o much_o as_o the_o remember_v they_o but_o as_o to_o forget_v all_o his_o benefit_n be_v a_o wonderful_a forgetfulness_n so_o to_o forget_v none_o at_o all_o be_v as_o wonderful_a a_o memory_n for_o what_o memory_n can_v be_v so_o vast_a not_o to_o forget_v some_o when_o they_o be_v so_o many_o indeed_o so_o many_o that_o they_o can_v be_v number_v and_o what_o then_o o_o my_o soul_n will_v thou_o do_v in_o this_o case_n if_o thou_o can_v not_o choose_v
in_o the_o land_n of_o the_o live_n but_o though_o i_o have_v speak_v thus_o and_o thus_o confident_o yet_o i_o find_v myself_o in_o trouble_n and_o affliction_n still_o which_o make_v i_o say_v in_o my_o haste_n all_o man_n be_v liar_n in_o my_o haste_n indeed_o for_o i_o verse_n 11_o think_v not_o of_o one_o man_n who_o be_v far_o from_o be_v a_o liar_n and_o in_o who_o mouth_n be_v find_v no_o guile_n it_o seem_v that_o to_o give_v the_o lie_n be_v not_o so_o heinous_a a_o offence_n in_o david_n time_n as_o it_o be_v in_o these_o day_n for_o else_o how_o dare_v he_o have_v speak_v such_o word_n that_o all_o man_n be_v liar_n which_o be_v no_o less_o then_o to_o give_v the_o lie_n to_o the_o whole_a world_n and_o yet_o no_o man_n i_o think_v will_v challenge_v he_o for_o say_v so_o no_o more_o than_o challenge_v s._n john_n for_o say_v that_o all_o man_n be_v sinner_n and_o indeed_o how_o shall_v any_o man_n avoid_v be_v a_o liar_n see_v the_o very_o be_v man_n be_v itself_o a_o lie_n not_o only_o a_o vanity_n and_o put_v in_o the_o balance_n be_v less_o than_o vanity_n but_o a_o very_a lie_n promise_v great_a matter_n and_o be_v able_a to_o do_v just_a nothing_o as_o christ_n say_v without_o i_o you_o can_v do_v nothing_o and_o so_o christ_n seem_v to_o come_v in_o as_o it_o be_v to_o be_v david_n second_o and_o to_o make_v his_o word_n good_a that_o all_o man_n be_v liar_n and_o now_o let_v the_o world_n do_v its_o worst_a and_o take_v the_o lie_n how_o it_o will_v for_o david_n have_v christ_n of_o his_o side_n will_v always_o be_v able_a to_o make_v his_o part_n good_a against_o all_o the_o world_n for_o christ_n have_v overcome_v the_o world_n but_o though_o all_o man_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v liar_n yet_o not_o all_o man_n in_o all_o thing_n for_o then_o david_n himself_o shall_v be_v a_o liar_n in_o this_o but_o all_o man_n perhaps_o in_o something_o or_o other_o at_o sometime_o or_o other_o in_o some_o kind_n or_o other_o absolute_a truth_n not_o find_v in_o any_o man_n but_o in_o that_o man_n only_o who_o be_v not_o man_n only_o for_o if_o he_o have_v be_v but_o so_o it_o have_v not_o perhaps_o be_v find_v in_o he_o neither_o see_v absolute_a truth_n and_o deity_n be_v as_o relative_n never_o find_v to_o be_v asunder_o but_o in_o what_o thing_n be_v it_o that_o all_o man_n shall_v be_v liar_n indeed_o in_o this_o for_o one_o to_o think_v that_o god_n regard_v not_o nor_o love_v not_o they_o who_o he_o suffer_v to_o be_v afflict_v for_o we_o may_v rather_o think_v he_o love_v they_o most_o who_o he_o suffer_v to_o be_v most_o afflict_a and_o we_o may_v true_o say_v he_o will_v never_o have_v suffer_v his_o servant_n job_n to_o be_v afflict_v so_o exceed_v cruel_o if_o he_o have_v not_o love_v he_o exceed_v tender_o for_o there_o be_v nothing_o lose_v by_o suffer_a affliction_n no_o my_o soul_n they_o do_v but_o serve_v to_o make_v up_o the_o great_a weight_n of_o glory_n when_o it_o shall_v be_v reveal_v but_o let_v his_o affliction_n be_v what_o they_o can_v be_v yet_o i_o will_v always_o acknowledge_v they_o can_v never_o be_v in_o any_o degree_n so_o great_a as_o his_o benefit_n and_o oh_o that_o i_o can_v think_v of_o something_o that_o i_o verse_n 12_o might_n render_v to_o he_o for_o all_o his_o benefit_n for_o shall_v i_o receive_v so_o great_a so_o infinite_a benefit_n from_o he_o and_o shall_v i_o render_v nothing_o to_o he_o by_o way_n of_o gratefulness_n but_o alas_o what_o have_v i_o to_o render_v all_o my_o render_n to_o he_o will_v be_v but_o take_v more_o from_o he_o for_o all_o i_o can_v do_v be_v but_o to_o take_v the_o cup_n of_o salvation_n and_o call_v upon_o his_o name_n verse_n 13_o and_o what_o render_n be_v there_o in_o this_o take_n if_o i_o can_v take_v the_o cup_n of_o tribulation_n and_o drink_v it_o off_o for_o his_o sake_n this_o perhaps_o may_v be_v a_o render_n of_o some_o value_n but_o this_o god_n know_v be_v no_o work_n for_o i_o to_o do_v it_o be_v his_o work_n who_o say_v can_v you_o drink_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o which_o i_o shall_v drink_v indeed_o he_o drink_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o tribulation_n to_o the_o end_n that_o we_o may_v take_v the_o cup_n of_o salvation_n but_o then_o in_o take_v it_o we_o must_v call_v upon_o his_o name_n upon_o his_o name_n and_o upon_o no_o other_o for_o else_o we_o shall_v make_v it_o a_o cup_n of_o condemnation_n see_v there_o be_v no_o name_n under_o heaven_n in_o which_o we_o may_v be_v save_v but_o only_o the_o name_n of_o jesus_n yet_o it_o may_v be_v some_o render_n to_o the_o lord_n if_o i_o pay_v my_o vow_n and_o do_v as_o it_o be_v my_o penance_n open_o i_o will_v therefore_o pay_v my_o vow_n to_o verse_n 14_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o all_o his_o people_n but_o may_v he_o not_o pay_v his_o vow_n as_o well_o in_o his_o closet_n between_o god_n and_o himself_o as_o to_o do_v it_o public_o no_o my_o soul_n it_o serve_v not_o his_o turn_n indeed_o not_o god_n turn_v but_o he_o must_v pay_v they_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o all_o his_o people_n yet_o not_o to_o the_o end_n he_o shall_v be_v applaud_v for_o a_o just_a payer_n for_o though_o he_o pay_v they_o yet_o he_o can_v never_o pay_v they_o to_o the_o full_a but_o to_o the_o end_n that_o man_n see_v his_o good_a work_n may_v glorify_v god_n by_o his_o example_n and_o the_o rather_o perhaps_o for_o that_o david_n be_v a_o king_n and_o the_o king_n example_n prevail_v much_o with_o the_o people_n to_o make_v they_o pay_v their_o vow_n to_o god_n but_o most_o of_o all_o that_o by_o this_o mean_n david_n piety_n may_v not_o be_v barren_a but_o may_v make_v a_o breed_n of_o piety_n in_o the_o people_n also_o which_o may_v be_v one_o mystical_a reason_n why_o it_o be_v count_v a_o curse_n in_o israel_n to_o be_v barren_a for_o he_o that_o pay_v not_o his_o vow_n to_o god_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o his_o people_n may_v well_o be_v say_v to_o be_v barren_a in_o israel_n see_v he_o beget_v no_o child_n to_o god_n by_o his_o example_n and_o perhaps_o also_o the_o vow_n which_o david_n mean_v here_o be_v the_o do_v of_o some_o mean_a thing_n unfit_a in_o show_n for_o the_o dignity_n of_o a_o king_n as_o when_o it_o be_v think_v a_o base_a thing_n in_o he_o to_o dance_v before_o the_o ark_n he_o than_o vow_v he_o will_v be_v base_a yet_o and_o in_o this_o case_n to_o pay_v his_o vow_n before_o the_o people_n become_v a_o matter_n of_o necessity_n for_o as_o there_o be_v no_o honour_n to_o a_o man_n whilst_o he_o be_v by_o himself_o alone_o so_o there_o be_v no_o shame_n to_o a_o man_n but_o before_o people_n and_o therefore_o to_o show_v that_o he_o be_v not_o ashamed_a to_o do_v any_o thing_n how_o mean_a soever_o so_o it_o may_v tend_v to_o the_o glorify_v of_o god_n he_o will_v pay_v his_o vow_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o all_o his_o people_n and_o he_o will_v do_v it_o though_o it_o cost_v he_o his_o life_n for_o if_o he_o die_v for_o it_o he_o know_v that_o precious_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o lord_n verse_n 15_o be_v the_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n but_o that_o which_o be_v precious_a be_v common_o desire_v and_o do_v god_n then_o desire_v the_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n he_o desire_v no_o doubt_n that_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n which_o be_v to_o die_v to_o sin_n but_o for_o any_o other_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n it_o be_v therefore_o say_v to_o be_v precious_a in_o his_o sight_n because_o he_o lay_v it_o up_o with_o the_o great_a carefulness_n and_o for_o this_o it_o be_v there_o be_v such_o several_a mansion_n in_o god_n house_n that_o to_o they_o who_o death_n be_v precious_a in_o his_o sight_n he_o may_v assign_v the_o most_o glorious_a mansion_n this_o indeed_o be_v the_o reward_n of_o martyrdom_n and_o the_o encouragement_n of_o martyr_n though_o their_o suffering_n be_v most_o insufferable_a their_o torture_n most_o intolerable_a yet_o this_o make_v amends_o for_o all_o that_o precious_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o lord_n be_v the_o death_n of_o his_o saint_n for_o if_o it_o be_v so_o great_a a_o happiness_n to_o be_v acceptable_a in_o his_o sight_n how_o great_a a_o happiness_n must_v it_o be_v to_o be_v precious_a in_o his_o sight_n when_o god_n at_o the_o creation_n look_v upon_o all_o his_o work_n it_o be_v say_v he_o see_v they_o to_o be_v all_o exceed_a good_a but_o it_o be_v not_o say_v that_o any_o of_o they_o be_v precious_a in_o his_o sight_n and_o how_o then_o come_v death_n to_o be_v precious_a in_o
