any_o where_o and_o invent_v contrary_a to_o the_o intent_n and_o mean_v of_o the_o say_a statute_n and_o all_o the_o ancient_a and_o avow_a law_n and_o custom_n of_o this_o realm_n be_v now_o of_o late_a year_n become_v the_o most_o usual_a and_o common_a conveyance_n for_o convey_v of_o freehold_a land_n whereby_o several_a fraud_n and_o abuse_n have_v be_v commit_v and_o several_a suit_n and_o contention_n have_v arisen_a thereupon_o to_o the_o manifest_a hazard_v the_o title_n of_o the_o freehold_a land_n of_o this_o kingdom_n and_o the_o dishonour_n of_o the_o law_n thereof_o for_o remedy_v of_o the_o mischief_n aforesaid_a by_o provide_v one_o certain_a place_n where_o all_o the_o conveyance_n and_o encumbrance_n herein_o aftermentioned_a relate_v to_o freehold_a land_n may_v be_v enter_v in_o order_n to_o the_o more_o easy_a and_o ready_a search_v and_o find_v out_o the_o same_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n by_o and_o with_o the_o deed_n and_o write_n in_o manner_n also_o herein_o aftermentioned_a the_o counterfeit_n of_o which_o say_v stamp_n shall_v be_v and_o be_v hereby_o make_v and_o be_v it_o enact_v that_o all_o conveyance_n grant_n or_o assignment_n of_o any_o manor_n land_n tenement_n or_o hereditament_n of_o inheritance_n of_o freehold_n within_o the_o kingdom_n of_o england_n or_o of_o any_o rent_n issue_v out_o of_o the_o same_o or_o of_o any_o lease_n or_o term_n for_o life_n or_o year_n to_o be_v make_v thereof_o which_o at_o any_o time_n after_o the_o ______o day_n of_o ______o shall_v be_v grant_n or_o assigment_n from_o and_o after_o such_o register_n thereof_o shall_v be_v good_a and_o effectual_a according_a to_o the_o purport_n and_o content_n thereof_o against_o all_o other_o conveyance_n grant_n or_o assigment_n whatsoever_o which_o after_o the_o say_v ______o day_n of_o ______o shall_v be_v make_v of_o the_o same_o manor_n land_n tenement_n or_o hereditament_n and_o not_o register_v as_o aforesaid_a notwithstanding_o that_o such_o conveyance_n grant_n or_o assignment_n so_o omit_v to_o be_v register_v shall_v be_v prior_n in_o date_fw-la or_o execution_n to_o the_o say_a conveyance_n grant_n or_o assignment_n which_o shall_v be_v so_o register_v provide_v nevertheless_o that_o all_o such_o conveyance_n grant_n or_o assignment_n so_o omit_v to_o be_v register_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v notwithstanding_o such_o omission_n be_v good_a and_o effectual_a against_o the_o grantor_n or_o the_o person_n make_v the_o same_o and_o all_o other_o person_n whatsoever_o except_o the_o person_n claim_v under_o the_o say_a conveyance_n grant_n or_o assignment_n which_o shall_v be_v so_o register_v as_o aforesaid_a as_o full_o and_o effectual_o to_o all_o intent_n and_o purpose_n as_o if_o this_o act_n have_v never_o be_v make_v and_o for_o prevent_v a_o double_a charge_n in_o enrol_v of_o bargain_n and_o sales_n of_o inheritance_n of_o freehold_n
