sessyon_n within_o the_o limit_n of_o their_o commission_n inquire_v of_o the_o premise_n and_o shall_v have_v full_a power_n and_o authority_n to_o hear_v and_o determine_v the_o same_o and_o to_o tax_v and_o assess_v no_o less_o fine_a for_o every_o the_o say_a offence_n then_o be_v before_o limit_v for_o the_o say_a offence_n and_o estreate_v thereof_o to_o be_v make_v and_o certify_v into_o within_o the_o lymitte_v of_o the_o watch_n of_o the_o say_a town_n may_v use_v and_o exercise_v such_o art_n mystery_n and_o occupation_n and_o take_v and_o use_v apprentice_n and_o servant_n in_o such_o manner_n and_o form_n as_o the_o inhabitant_n within_o market_n town_n by_o this_o statute_n may_v lawful_o do_v provide_v always_o and_o be_v it_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o all_o manner_n amerciament_n fyne_n issue_n and_o forfeiture_n which_o shall_v rise_v grow_v or_o come_v by_o reason_n of_o any_o offence_n or_o defaulte_n mention_v in_o this_o act_n or_o any_o branch_n thereof_o within_o any_o city_n or_o town_n corporate_a shall_v be_v levy_v gather_v and_o receive_v by_o such_o person_n or_o person_n of_o the_o same_o city_n or_o town_n corporate_a act_n or_o any_o thing_n therein_o contain_v shall_v not_o extend_v to_o any_o lawful_a reteyninge_n or_o covenaunte_n have_v or_o make_v before_o the_o make_n of_o this_o act_n but_o that_o all_o other_o person_n whatsoever_o shall_v from_o the_o say_v first_o day_n of_o maye_n by_o virtue_n of_o any_o commission_n or_o otherwise_o take_v any_o hear_n or_o sea_n fish_n from_o any_o of_o the_o feast_n wilful_o withstand_v or_o deny_v any_o such_o search_n to_o be_v make_v accord_v to_o the_o tenor_n of_o this_o act_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a or_o will_v not_o suffer_v the_o say_v searcher_n so_o appoint_v to_o enter_v into_o he_o or_o their_o house_n or_o house_n or_o other_o place_n to_o view_v and_o search_v at_o their_o will_n &_o pleasure_n all_o manner_n of_o tan_a leather_n and_o all_o manner_n of_o shoe_n boot_n male_n saddle_n and_o all_o manner_n of_o ware_n wrought_v and_o make_v or_o to_o be_v wrought_v and_o make_v of_o leather_n and_o to_o seize_v and_o carry_v away_o seal_v leather_n sufficient_o tan_v or_o do_v make_v default_n in_o their_o search_n or_o do_v alow_o that_o which_o shall_v be_v insufficient_o tan_v curry_v or_o wrought_v contrary_a to_o the_o true_a meaning_n of_o this_o act_n or_o shall_v either_o for_o affection_n or_o corruption_n conceal_v the_o fault_n or_o any_o of_o they_o find_v in_o that_o behalf_n that_o then_o the_o mayor_n baylyffe_n lord_n of_o liberty_n and_o other_o person_n which_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v appoint_v such_o searcher_n and_o sealer_n shall_v forfeit_v and_o lose_v for_o every_o such_o default_n &_o offence_n xl.s_n the_o moiety_n of_o which_o forfeiture_n shall_v be_v to_o our_o sovereign_a lady_n the_o queen_n her_o heir_n &_o successor_n and_o the_o other_o moiety_n to_o he_o person_n as_o shall_v be_v so_o appoint_v searcher_n or_o sealer_n as_n be_v aforesaid_a shall_v after_o the_o true_a tan_v and_o before_o the_o curry_n of_o any_o leather_n bring_v to_o be_v search_v and_o seal_v as_o be_v aforesaid_a by_o their_o discretion_n cut_v of_o so_o much_o of_o the_o hyde_n true_o tan_v to_o be_v sell_v to_o a_o shoemaker_n cordwayner_n or_o cobbler_n into_o womb_n as_o they_o shall_v by_o their_o oath_n think_v unmeete_a to_o make_v utter_a sole_a leather_n of_o upon_o pain_n that_o the_o shoemaker_n cordwayner_n or_o cobbler_n shall_v forfeit_v for_o every_o such_o hide_v not_o cut_v as_o be_v aforesaid_a iii.s.iiii.d_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v that_o such_o person_n and_o person_n as_o hereafter_o shall_v be_v assign_v and_o appoint_v searcher_n and_o sealer_n of_o tan_a leather_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n shall_v within_o the_o limit_n and_o precinct_n of_o every_o of_o their_o search_n keep_v one_o book_n or_o register_n wherein_o they_o shall_v enter_v all_o such_o bargain_n as_o shall_v be_v make_v for_o leather_n hide_n or_o skynne_n by_o any_o person_n or_o person_n during_o and_o by_o all_o the_o time_n of_o the_o fair_a or_o market_n be_v thereto_o require_v by_o the_o bier_n or_o the_o seller_n and_o also_o the_o pryce_n of_o such_o leather_n buy_v &_o sell_v with_o the_o name_n and_o dwell_v place_n of_o the_o bier_n as_o for_o register_v thereof_o of_o the_o seller_n of_o every_o dycker_n of_o leather_n so_o enter_v ii.d_n and_o so_o after_o the_o rate_n and_o for_o every_o sire_n dozen_o of_o calf_n skynne_n ii.d_n and_o of_o the_o bier_n after_o the_o same_o rate_n and_o no_o more_o or_o great_a sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n to_o be_v pay_v for_o enter_v of_o the_o same_o upon_o pain_n of_o forfeiture_n for_o not_o enter_v and_o register_v or_o not_o cut_v of_o of_o the_o womb_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a for_o every_o dycker_n of_o leather_n 3s._o iiii_o d_o and_o for_o every_o dozen_o of_o calf_n skin_n 3s._o iiii_o d_o and_o so_o after_o that_o rate_n and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n shall_v after_o the_o first_o day_n of_o may_n next_o come_n sell_v exchange_n or_o put_v away_o or_o cause_n to_o be_v sell_v exchange_v or_o put_v away_o any_o manner_n of_o tan_a leather_n red_a and_o unwrought_a except_o he_o or_o they_o register_v or_o cause_n to_o be_v register_v the_o say_a tan_a leather_n and_o every_o part_n and_o parcel_n thereof_o and_o the_o price_n thereof_o upon_o pain_n of_o forfeiture_n of_o the_o value_n of_o the_o leather_n so_o sell_v exchange_v or_o put_v away_o and_o not_o register_v and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v by_o the_o authority_n aforesaid_a that_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v lawful_a to_o or_o for_o any_o person_n or_o person_n to_o buy_v any_o tan_a leather_n before_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v search_v and_o seal_v not_o to_o carry_v or_o cause_v to_o be_v carry_v out_o of_o the_o and_o seal_v or_o carry_v away_o and_o not_o register_v and_o be_v it_o further_o enact_v that_o no_o cordwayn_a shoemaker_n or_o cobbler_n shall_v carry_v or_o cause_v to_o be_v carry_v any_o ox_n or_o steer_v hide_v tan_v whereof_o any_o sole_a leather_n shall_v be_v cut_v out_o of_o any_o fair_a or_o market_n whole_a before_o the_o womb_n be_v cut_v of_o as_o be_v aforesaid_a upon_o pain_n of_o forfeiture_n for_o every_o hide_v otherwise_o carry_v out_o of_o the_o same_o fair_a or_o market_n vi.s_n viij_o d_o and_o the_o hyde_n or_o the_o value_n thereof_o and_o be_v it_o further_o
