advice_n the_o judge_n be_v swear_v to_o advice_n the_o king_n in_o point_n of_o law_n and_o to_o administer_v the_o law_n indifferent_o between_o the_o king_n and_o his_o subject_n which_o oath_n begin_v thus_o viz._n a_o oath_n of_o the_o justice_n be_v make_v in_o the_o year_n of_o edw._n the_o 3d._n in_o the_o year_n 1344._o you_o shall_v swear_v that_o well_o and_o lawful_o you_o shall_v no_o fee_n as_o long_o as_o you_o shall_v be_v justice_n nor_o robe_n of_o any_o man_n great_a or_o small_a but_o of_o the_o king_n himself_o and_o that_o you_o give_v no_o advice_n or_o council_n to_o no_o man_n great_a or_o small_a in_o no_o case_n where_o the_o king_n be_v party_n and_o in_o case_n that_o any_o of_o what_o estate_n or_o condition_n they_o be_v come_v before_o you_o in_o your_o session_n with_o force_n and_o arm_n or_o otherwise_o against_o the_o peace_n or_o against_o the_o form_n of_o the_o statute_n thereof_o make_v to_o disturb_v execution_n of_o the_o common_a law_n or_o to_o menace_v the_o people_n that_o they_o may_v not_o pursue_v the_o law_n that_o you_o shall_v cause_v their_o body_n to_o be_v arrest_v and_o put_v in_o prison_n and_o in_o case_n they_o be_v such_o that_o you_o can_v arrest_v then_o that_o you_o certify_v the_o king_n of_o their_o name_n and_o of_o their_o misprision_n hasty_o so_o that_o you_o may_v thereof_o ordain_v a_o conveneable_a remedy_n and_o that_o you_o by_o yourself_o nor_o by_o other_o privity_n or_o apert_o maintain_v any_o plea_n or_o quarrel_n hang_v in_o the_o king_n court_n or_o elsewhere_o in_o the_o county_n and_o that_o you_o deny_v no_o man_n common_a right_n by_o the_o king_n letter_n nor_o no_o other_o man_n nor_o for_o none_o other_o cause_n and_o in_o case_n any_o letter_n come_v to_o you_o contrary_a to_o the_o law_n that_o you_o do_v nothing_o by_o such_o letter_n but_o certify_v the_o king_n thereof_o and_o proceed_v to_o execute_v the_o law_n notwithstanding_o the_o same_o letter_n and_o that_o you_o shall_v do_v and_o procure_v the_o profit_n of_o the_o king_n and_o of_o his_o crown_n with_o all_o thing_n where_o you_o may_v reasonable_o do_v the_o same_o and_o in_o case_n you_o be_v from_o hence_o forth_o find_v in_o default_n in_o any_o of_o the_o point_n aforesaid_a you_o shall_v be_v at_o the_o king_n will_v body_n land_n and_o good_n thereof_o to_o be_v do_v as_o shall_v please_v he_o as_o god_n you_o help_v and_o all_o saint_n now_o have_v give_v you_o the_o oath_n as_o the_o law_n have_v settle_v it_o i_o shall_v add_v one_o statute_n more_o to_o show_v how_o careful_a and_o diligent_a our_o ancestor_n be_v to_o preserve_v this_o nation_n from_o arbitrary_a power_n not_o only_o in_o the_o king_n but_o also_o in_o judge_n and_o officer_n that_o we_o may_v not_o be_v enslave_v and_o oppress_v by_o the_o judge_n under_o a_o colour_n and_o pretence_n of_o law_n and_o that_o be_v the_o statute_n of_o 20_o e._n 3._o the_o title_n be_v viz._n the_o justice_n of_o both_o bench_n 10_o 20_o e._n 3._o cap_n 10_o assices_n etc._n etc._n shall_v do_v right_a to_o all_o man_n take_v no_o fee_n but_o of_o the_o king_n nor_o give_v council_n where_o the_o king_n be_v party_n first_o we_o have_v command_v all_o our_o justice_n that_o they_o shall_v from_o henceforth_o do_v equal_a law_n and_o execution_n of_o right_a to_o all_o our_o subject_n rich_a and_o poor_a without_o have_v regard_n to_o any_o person_n and_o without_o omit_v to_o do_v right_a for_o any_o letter_n or_o commandment_n which_o come_v to_o they_o from_o we_o or_o from_o any_o other_o or_o by_o any_o other_o cause_n and_o if_o that_o any_o letter_n writ_n or_o commandment_n come_v to_o the_o justice_n or_o to_o other_o depute_v to_o do_v law_n and_o right_o according_a to_o the_o usage_n of_o the_o realm_n in_o disturbance_n of_o the_o law_n or_o of_o execution_n of_o the_o same_o or_o of_o right_n of_o the_o party_n the_o justice_n and_o other_o aforesaid_a shall_v proceed_v and_o hold_v their_o court_n and_o process_n where_o they_o please_v and_o matter_n be_v depend_v before_o they_o as_o if_o no_o such_o letter_n writ_n or_o commandment_n be_v come_v to_o they_o and_o they_o shall_v certify_v we_o and_o our_o council_n of_o such_o commandment_n be_v which_o be_v contrary_a to_o law_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o to_o the_o juter●_n that_o our_o justice_n shall_v do_v even_o right_a to_o all_o people_n in_o manner_n aforesaid_a without_o more_o favour_n show_v to_o one_o then_o to_o the_o other_o we_o have_v ordain_v and_o cause_v out_o justice_n to_o be_v swear_v that_o they_o shall_v not_o from_o henceforth_o as_o long_o as_o they_o shall_v be_v in_o office_n of_o justice_n take_v fee_n nor_o robe_n of_o any_o man_n but_o of_o
