wickedness_n rather_o than_o their_o not_o rely_v on_o their_o own_o righteousness_n which_o be_v as_o far_o different_a as_o the_o be_v humble_o religious_a be_v from_o the_o be_v audacious_o profane_a nor_o do_v their_o trust_v in_o christ_n merit_n as_o have_v do_v and_o suffer_v what_o they_o be_v to_o do_v and_o suffer_v procure_v

of_o man_n how_o may_v it_o engage_v all_o the_o power_n of_o the_o soul_n into_o a_o divine_a love_n while_o we_o contemplate_v he_o in_o in_o the_o garden_n sweat_v as_o it_o be_v great_a drop_n be_v not_o like_o that_o face_n who_o feature_n by_o themselves_o be_v beauteous_a but_o unite_a be_v uncomely_a but_o they_o be_v such_o as_o increase_v each_o other_o lustre_n and_o show_v a_o symmetry_n altogether_o divine_a theoph._n it_o be_v so_o eubulus_n when_o i_o consider_v the_o law_n which_o require_v duty_n to_o god_n i_o be_o the_o more_o in_o love_n with_o those_o which_o enjoin_v my_o behaviour_n towards_o men._n and_o when_o i_o weigh_v those_o that_o relate_v to_o other_o and_o myself_o those_o towards_o god_n appear_v more_o advantageous_o to_o i_o and_o i_o present_o be_o excite_v to_o put_v they_o into_o practice_n by_o reverence_v love_a and_o praise_v he_o who_o have_v give_v such_o law_n unto_o we_o every_o particular_a precept_n towards_o god_n they_o have_v have_v by_o god_n bless_a word_n read_v and_o hear_v the_o many_o inward_a call_v of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n move_v they_o to_o their_o duty_n the_o many_o check_n of_o conscience_n they_o have_v feel_v in_o their_o sinful_a and_o unchristian_a practice_n will_v be_v ready_a to_o contradict_v they_o to_o their_o face_n and_o then_o for_o the_o time_n though_o they_o shall_v be_v as_o near_o their_o end_n as_o the_o thief_n be_v the_o case_n with_o these_o and_o with_o he_o be_v very_o different_a no_o hour_n be_v there_o now_o but_o in_o it_o it_o may_v be_v say_v that_o christ_n be_v rise_v from_o the_o dead_a ascend_v into_o heaven_n have_v give_v gift_n unto_o man_n and_o have_v have_v all_o power_n give_v unto_o he_o and_o of_o these_o thing_n we_o have_v have_v understanding_n shall_v general_o be_v so_o dim-sighted_a as_o that_o they_o can_v not_o through_o diversity_n of_o circumstance_n discern_v how_o to_o take_v right_a measure_n of_o their_o action_n from_o they_o they_o will_v be_v insufficient_a as_o to_o we_o but_o we_o shall_v find_v a_o great_a deficiency_n of_o example_n in_o holy_a writ_n in_o that_o there_o be_v thousand_o of_o action_n which_o be_v to_o be_v govern_v by_o religion_n as_o indeed_o all_o our_o action_n be_v of_o which_o we_o can_v find_v no_o suitable_a example_n in_o scripture_n i_o need_v not_o theophilus_n give_v you_o nor_o myself_o the_o trouble_n of_o gather_v together_o many_o instance_n of_o action_n to_o show_v what_o i_o now_o say_v let_v man_n in_o the_o diversity_n of_o calling_n that_o be_v in_o the_o world_n and_o in_o the_o many_o relation_n that_o they_o stand_v in_o unto_o other_o consider_v their_o own_o action_n and_o amid_o all_o the_o example_n of_o scripture_n they_o will_v see_v themselves_o leave_v alone_o not_o have_v a_o sure_a light_n from_o any_o of_o they_o whence_o from_o the_o uncertainty_n and_o insufficiency_n of_o the_o example_n as_o well_o as_o from_o the_o want_n of_o authority_n in_o the_o person_n no_o example_n be_v obligatory_a unto_o we_o nor_o to_o be_v imitate_v any_o further_a than_o they_o have_v the_o law_n of_o christ_n for_o their_o rule_n may_v may_v it_o not_o eubul_n we_o will_v therefore_o consider_v the_o action_n of_o our_o lord_n than_o who_o there_o never_o be_v neither_o can_v be_v a_o better_a pattern_n in_o the_o world_n and_o yet_o we_o shall_v find_v that_o none_o of_o they_o from_o his_o example_n mere_o and_o without_o a_o law_n do_v lay_v a_o absolute_a obligation_n upon_o we_o to_o imitate_v they_o 1._o some_o of_o they_o be_v miraculous_a action_n and_o as_o such_o we_o be_v not_o bind_v to_o imitate_v they_o for_o no_o man_n be_v oblige_v to_o do_v those_o thing_n which_o be_v beyond_o the_o power_n which_o god_n ever_o give_v he_o or_o have_v promise_v to_o bestow_v upon_o he_o such_o action_n as_o these_o be_v the_o accomplishment_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n above_o all_o other_o neither_o have_v he_o nor_o ever_o will_v he_o impart_v the_o ability_n of_o do_v the_o like_a unless_o upon_o extraordinary_a occasion_n and_o for_o the_o obtain_v the_o chief_a end_n the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o salvation_n of_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n when_o they_o can_v reasonable_o be_v compass_v without_o such_o miraculous_a act_n as_o at_o the_o first_o spread_v the_o gospel_n they_o can_v be_v a_o prince_n do_v belong_v unto_o he_o of_o this_o sort_n be_v his_o send_n for_o the_o ass_n and_o colt_n without_o so_o much_o as_o have_v the_o owner_n leave_v or_o acquaint_v he_o with_o
