grant_v in_o this_o present_a parliament_n so_o it_o be_v may_v it_o please_v your_o lordship_n that_o by_o the_o occasion_n of_o the_o ensue_a and_o other_o grievance_n and_o innovation_n though_o to_o his_o majesty_n no_o considerable_a profit_n this_o kingdom_n be_v reduce_v to_o that_o extreme_a and_o universal_a poverty_n that_o the_o same_o be_v now_o less_o able_a to_o pay_v a_o subsidy_n than_o it_o be_v heretofore_o to_o satisfy_v all_o the_o before_o recite_v great_a payment_n &_o his_o majesty_n most_o faithful_a people_n of_o the_o same_o do_v conceive_v great_a fear_n that_o the_o grievance_n and_o consequence_n thereof_o may_v hereafter_o be_v draw_v into_o precedent_n to_o be_v perpetuate_v upon_o their_o posterity_n which_o in_o their_o great_a hope_n and_o strong_a seek_v for_o and_o the_o excessive_a fee_n exact_v by_o the_o minister_n thereof_o and_o the_o encroach_a of_o the_o same_o upon_o the_o jurisdiction_n of_o other_o ecclesiastical_a court_n of_o this_o kingdom_n x._o ten_o the_o exorbitant_a and_o barbarous_a fee_n and_o pretend_a custom_n exact_v by_o the_o clergy_n against_o the_o law_n some_o of_o which_o have_v be_v former_o represent_v to_o your_o lordship_n xi_o eleven_o the_o petitioner_n do_v most_o hearty_o bemoan_v that_o his_o majesty_n service_n and_o
profit_n be_v much_o more_o impair_v then_o advance_v by_o the_o grievance_n aforesaid_a and_o the_o subsidy_n grant_v in_o the_o last_o parliament_n have_v much_o increase_v his_o majesty_n revenue_n by_o the_o buy_n in_o of_o grant_n and_o otherwise_o and_o that_o all_o his_o majesty_n debt_n then_o due_a in_o this_o kingdom_n be_v satisfy_v out_o of_o the_o say_a subsidy_n and_o yet_o his_o majesty_n be_v of_o late_a as_o your_o petitioner_n have_v be_v inform_v in_o the_o house_n of_o commons_n become_v indebt_v in_o this_o kingdom_n in_o great_a sum_n and_o they_o do_v therefore_o humble_o beseech_v that_o a_o exact_a account_n may_v be_v send_v to_o his_o majesty_n how_o and_o in_o what_o manner_n his_o treasure_n issue_v xii_o twelve_o the_o petitioner_n do_v humble_o conceive_v great_a and_o just_a fear_n at_o a_o proclamation_n publish_v in_o this_o kingdom_n in_o anno_fw-la dom._n 1635_o prohibit_v man_n of_o quality_n or_o estate_n for_o to_o depart_v this_o kingdom_n into_o england_n without_o the_o lord_n deputy_n licence_n whereby_o the_o subject_n of_o this_o kingdom_n be_v hinder_v and_o interrupt_v from_o free_a access_n and_o address_n to_o his_o sacred_a majesty_n and_o privy_a counsel_n of_o england_n to_o declare_v their_o just_a grievance_n or_o to_o obtain_v remedy_n for_o they_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o their_o ancestor_n have_v do_v in_o the_o say_a burroughes_n who_o heretofore_o send_v burgess_n to_o the_o parliament_n shall_v send_v the_o say_v burgess_n to_o the_o parliament_n and_o thereupon_o for_o want_v of_o a_o answer_n the_o say_a privilege_n of_o send_v burgess_n be_v seize_v by_o the_o say_a court_n which_o proceed_n be_v altogether_o coram_fw-la non_fw-la judice_fw-la and_o contrary_a to_o the_o law_n &_o privilege_n of_o the_o house_n of_o parliament_n and_o if_o way_n shall_v be_v give_v thereunto_o may_v tend_v to_o the_o subversion_n of_o parliament_n and_o by_o consequence_n to_o â—he_n ruin_n &_o destruction_n of_o the_o commonwealth_n and_o that_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o have_v hitherto_o in_o this_o present_a parliament_n be_v deprive_v of_o the_o advice_n and_o counsel_n of_o many_o profitable_a &_o good_a member_n by_o mean_n thereof_o fourteen_o fourteen_o that_o by_o the_o powerfulnesse_n of_o some_o minister_n of_o state_n in_o this_o kingdom_n the_o parliament_n in_o its_o member_n and_o action_n have_v not_o his_o natural_a freedom_n xv._o fifteenthly_a that_o the_o fee_n take_v in_o all_o the_o court_n of_o justice_n in_o this_o kingdom_n both_o ecclesiastical_a and_o civil_a and_o by_o other_o inferior_a officer_n and_o minister_n be_v so_o immoderate_o high_a that_o it_o be_v a_o unspeakable_a burden_n to_o all_o his_o majesty_n subject_n of_o this_o who_o be_v not_o able_a to_o subsist_v except_o the_o same_o be_v speedy_o remedy_v &_o reduce_v to_o such_o a_o moderation_n as_o may_v stand_v with_o the_o condition_n of_o this_o realm_n and_o last_o that_o
