any_o friend_n and_o do_v discover_v it_o be_v much_o more_o here_o examine_v it_o in_o a_o few_o particular_n 1._o where_o there_o be_v a_o interest_n with_o man_n there_o be_v a_o mutual_a close_n of_o their_o spirit_n by_o which_o they_o know_v one_o another_o and_o come_v to_o rest_v secure_a in_o each_o other_o good_a intention_n and_o hearty_a wish_n here_o also_o be_v this_o mutual_a close_n and_o in_o a_o far_o more_o high_a and_o excellent_a degree_n then_o be_v or_o can_v be_v with_o any_o creature_n for_o that_o affection_n and_o love_n which_o god_n discover_v to_o his_o people_n and_o which_o he_o do_v act_n upon_o they_o be_v a_o love_n that_o be_v transcendent_a that_o be_v not_o only_o beyond_o all_o other_o love_n but_o beyond_o all_o understanding_n that_o change_n by_o reason_n of_o this_o interest_n as_o no_o interest_n in_o the_o world_n do_v work_v though_o the_o close_a and_o the_o near_a for_o the_o habit_n and_o disposition_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n be_v alter_v in_o close_v with_o god_n and_o he_o become_v a_o new_a creature_n he_o be_v not_o what_o he_o be_v it_o be_v true_a that_o in_o all_o friendship_n that_o be_v with_o man_n there_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o change_n on_o both_o side_n because_o there_o must_v be_v a_o due_a and_o necessary_a application_n of_o themselves_o to_o each_o other_o spirit_n but_o that_o change_n be_v unspeakable_o inferior_a to_o this_o in_o those_o who_o have_v be_v wrought_v upon_o to_o believe_v and_o have_v obtain_v this_o mercy_n to_o close_v with_o god_n for_o they_o be_v change_v to_o the_o proportion_n of_o as_o great_a a_o distance_n as_o death_n be_v distant_a from_o life_n and_o darkness_n from_o light_n for_o they_o be_v bring_v off_o from_o the_o love_n of_o all_o that_o on_o which_o their_o heart_n be_v set_v even_o to_o a_o hatred_n of_o it_o and_o be_v subject_v subordinate_a and_o conform_v to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n there_o be_v another_o thing_n in_o this_o interest_n which_o belong_v to_o the_o nature_n of_o it_o and_o so_o discover_v it_o and_o that_o be_v a_o mutual_a converse_v with_o each_o other_o with_o contentment_n jonathan_n and_o david_n have_v much_o pleasure_n in_o their_o mutual_a conversing_n with_o each_o other_o and_o in_o draw_v forth_o their_o spirit_n one_o to_o another_o this_o be_v much_o more_o strong_a in_o believer_n then_o can_v be_v in_o any_o relation_n between_o husband_n and_o wife_n or_o between_o the_o father_n and_o child_n this_o must_v needs_o be_v so_o for_o first_o the_o love_n wherewith_o they_o
