proportionable_a now_o because_o there_o be_v a_o great_a guilt_n lie_v upon_o the_o nation_n in_o this_o particular_a both_o lawmakers_n and_o law-upholder_n and_o law-executor_n be_v all_o high_o concern_v herein_o beside_o the_o grief_n of_o heart_n that_o it_o be_v to_o all_o just_a spirit_a man_n who_o delight_n in_o equity_n i_o shall_v therefore_o hold_v forth_o to_o the_o nation_n what_o appear_v to_o i_o in_o this_o particular_a that_o they_o may_v be_v sensible_a of_o this_o great_a evil_n and_o amend_v it_o in_o this_o most_o unjust_a and_o cruel_a law_n there_o be_v these_o evil_n with_o the_o thief_n &_o so_o be_v make_v a_o felon_n for_o mercifulnesse_n &_o for_o pardon_v the_o wrong_n do_v he_o which_o action_n savour_v most_o of_o god_n and_o for_o this_o be_v in_o danger_n of_o that_o cruel_a wicked_a law_n himself_o or_o else_o he_o must_v against_o his_o conscience_n slay_v and_o murder_v that_o mercifulnesse_n and_o equity_n that_o god_n have_v beget_v in_o his_o own_o heart_n and_o thus_o this_o abominable_a unjust_a law_n as_o it_o spring_v up_o from_o man_n of_o cruelty_n so_o it_o force_v man_n to_o cruelty_n cruelty_n to_o one_o another_o and_o cruelty_n to_o the_o seed_n of_o god_n in_o their_o own_o heart_n so_o by_o its_o tendency_n it_o be_v easy_o discern_v from_o whence_o it_o first_o come_v except_o by_o those_o who_o eye_n be_v blind_v with_o covetousness_n and_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n and_o so_o with_o cruelty_n will_v uphold_v they_o second_o there_o be_v another_o evil_n in_o it_o to_o the_o party_n wrong_v he_o be_v rob_v of_o that_o restitution_n that_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n think_v good_a to_o allow_v in_o case_n of_o theft_n instead_o of_o have_v fourfold_a he_o get_v not_o full_o his_o own_o and_o if_o the_o wisdom_n of_o man_n shall_v think_v that_o fourfold_a too_o much_o and_o will_v allow_v he_o but_o half_o so_o much_o yet_o he_o get_v not_o that_o he_o only_o get_v the_o man_n life_n which_o add_v nothing_o to_o the_o maintain_n of_o he_o or_o his_o family_n so_o that_o this_o man_n though_o he_o be_v compel_v to_o prosecute_v the_o other_o to_o death_n yet_o when_o he_o have_v do_v that_o he_o himself_o be_v not_o right_v for_o the_o wrong_n do_v if_o the_o thief_n be_v poor_a instead_o of_o have_v he_o sell_v or_o put_v to_o work_v to_o work_v it_o out_o if_o he_o have_v not_o wherewith_o offence_n do_v void_a of_o mercy_n and_o natural_a compassion_n be_v it_o not_o enough_o that_o the_o wife_n have_v lose_v her_o husband_n and_o the_o child_n their_o father_n but_o to_o increase_v their_o misery_n their_o livelihood_n must_v go_v also_o with_o his_o life_n see_v how_o high_o they_o be_v incense_v for_o the_o loss_n of_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n who_o make_v this_o law_n that_o the_o life_n of_o the_o thief_n which_o far_o exceed_v the_o crime_n yet_o do_v not_o quench_v their_o anger_n and_o wrath_n and_o revenge_n upon_o they_o that_o shall_v meddle_v with_o their_o for_o except_o a_o man_n become_v as_o a_o little_a child_n he_o can_v see_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n therefore_o consider_v with_o yourselves_o whether_o you_o ever_o have_v or_o yet_o have_v any_o thought_n of_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n if_o you_o have_v or_o have_v then_o what_o be_v the_o way_n you_o propound_v to_o yourselves_o see_v if_o it_o will_v not_o fail_v you_o for_o he_o that_o be_v the_o way_n say_v learn_v of_o i_o for_o i_o be_o meek_a and_o lowly_a in_o heart_n not_o only_o in_o appearance_n but_o in_o heart_n also_o and_o say_v he_o except_o a_o man_n be_v answerable_a tâ—_n our_o descent_n and_o blood_n i_o answer_v such_o thought_n as_o these_o have_v beget_v you_o into_o what_o you_o be_v and_o puff_v you_o up_o in_o your_o mind_n yea_o some_o of_o you_o be_v so_o habituate_v and_o naturalize_v into_o this_o loftiness_n of_o mind_n that_o though_o you_o become_v outward_o poor_a in_o the_o world_n than_o other_o man_n yet_o your_o mind_n be_v hereupon_o exalt_v in_o you_o above_o they_o and_o yet_o that_o be_v usual_o the_o rise_n of_o blood_n namely_o riches_n of_o this_o world_n but_o consider_v you_o that_o stand_v upon_o descent_n and_o blood_n do_v you_o know_v upon_o what_o foundation_n the_o greatness_n of_o your_o family_n be_v lay_v be_v you_o sure_a it_o be_v not_o upon_o tyranny_n cruelty_n oppression_n covetousness_n fraud_n and_o injury_n and_o so_o have_v its_o foundation_n in_o that_o bestial_a spirit_n which_o because_o its_o strong_a push_v aside_o all_o that_o be_v weak_a if_o it_o have_v this_o original_a as_o usual_o it_o have_v then_o see_v to_o the_o foundation_n of_o your_o glory_v again_o consider_v that_o the_o lord_n have_v lay_v aside_o the_o glory_v of_o those_o that_o have_v a_o more_o excellent_a descent_n than_o you_o have_v they_o that_o can_v boast_v of_o abraham_n for_o their_o father_n and_o of_o isaac_n and_o jacob_n and_o david_n and_o such_o worthy_n approve_v of_o god_n in_o their_o generation_n yet_o what_o good_a will_v it_o do_v they_o to_o say_v we_o have_v abraham_n for_o our_o father_n though_o dives_n can_v call_v abraham_n father_n yet_o this_o will_v do_v he_o no_o good_a it_o will_v not_o afford_v he_o a_o drop_n of_o cold_a water_n consider_v again_o you_o that_o glory_n in_o blood_n and_o descent_n look_v upon_o a_o tree_n be_v it_o not_o a_o vain_a thing_n for_o one_o twig_n of_o the_o same_o tree_n to_o boast_v itself_o against_o another_o because_o it_o be_v not_o of_o the_o same_o branch_n it_o may_v be_v they_o be_v not_o both_o of_o one_o branch_n but_o both_o meet_v in_o one_o bough_n so_o look_v but_o a_o little_a surther_n and_o you_o will_v see_v the_o beggar_n and_o yourselves_o both_o of_o one_o blood_n of_o one_o descent_n for_o
