upon_o due_a proof_n thereof_o make_v to_o their_o satisfaction_n to_o convict_v the_o offender_n and_o to_o give_v warrant_n under_o their_o hand_n and_o seal_n for_o levy_v the_o forfeiture_n according_o the_o one_o half_a thereof_o to_o be_v to_o and_o for_o the_o use_n of_o the_o person_n or_o person_n so_o prosecute_a or_o complain_v and_o the_o other_o half_a to_o and_o for_o the_o use_n of_o the_o poor_a or_o repair_v of_o the_o highway_n within_o the_o same_o parish_n or_o any_o other_o adjoin_v parish_n or_o parish_n to_o be_v appoint_v and_o apportion_v by_o the_o direction_n of_o the_o say_a lord_n mayor_n and_o justice_n by_o such_o their_o warrant_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o the_o say_a lord_n mayor_n of_o london_n and_o the_o court_n of_o alderman_n for_o the_o time_n be_v london_n who_o may_v set_v rate_n upon_o coal_n in_o london_n and_o the_o justice_n of_o peace_n of_o the_o several_a county_n respective_o or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o whereof_z one_o to_o be_v of_o the_o quorum_fw-la be_v hereby_o empower_v to_o set_v the_o rate_n and_o prize_n of_o all_o such_o coal_n as_o shall_v be_v sell_v by_o retail_n as_o they_o from_o time_n to_o time_n shall_v judge_v reasonable_a allow_v a_o competent_a profit_n to_o the_o say_a retailer_n beyond_o the_o price_n pay_v by_o he_o to_o the_o importer_n and_o the_o ordinary_a charge_n thereupon_o accrue_v and_o that_o if_o any_o engrosser_n or_o retailer_n of_o such_o coal_n shall_v refuse_v to_o sell_v as_o aforesaid_a rate_n engrosser_n or_o retailer_n refuse_v to_o â—ell_v at_o the_o say_a rate_n that_o then_o the_o say_a lord_n mayor_n and_o alderman_n and_o justice_n of_o peace_n respective_o be_v hereby_o authorise_v to_o appoint_v and_o empower_v such_o officer_n or_o officer_n or_o other_o person_n as_o they_o shall_v think_v fit_a to_o enter_v into_o any_o wharf_n or_o other_o place_n where_o such_o coal_n be_v store_v up_o and_o in_o case_n of_o refusal_n take_v a_o constable_n to_o force_v entrance_n and_o the_o say_a coal_n to_o sell_v or_o cause_n to_o be_v sell_v at_o such_o rate_n as_o the_o say_a lord_n mayor_n and_o alderman_n and_o justice_n respective_o shall_v judge_v reasonable_a render_v to_o such_o engrosser_n or_o retailer_n the_o money_n for_o which_o the_o say_v coal_n shall_v be_v so_o sell_v necessary_a charge_n be_v deduct_v act._n the_o continuance_n of_o this_o act._n provide_v that_o this_o act_n shall_v continue_v for_o three_o year_n next_o ensue_v and_o thenceforth_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o next_o session_n of_o parliament_n and_o no_o long_o provide_v also_o that_o no_o person_n or_o person_n that_o shall_v be_v sue_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n for_o not_o observe_v thereof_o shall_v be_v sue_v upon_o any_o other_o act_n or_o law_n now_o in_o force_n for_o the_o same_o offence_n and_o if_o any_o action_n shall_v be_v commence_v against_o any_o justice_n of_o peace_n issue_n person_n sue_v upon_o this_o act_n may_v plead_v the_o general_a issue_n constable_n or_o other_o officer_n or_o person_n for_o any_o thing_n do_v by_o colour_n of_o this_o act_n the_o defendant_n in_o every_o such_o action_n may_v plead_v the_o general_a issue_n and_o give_v the_o special_a matter_n in_o evidence_n and_o if_o the_o verdict_n be_v find_v for_o he_o or_o the_o plaintiff_n become_v other_o in_o his_o own_o or_o any_o other_o name_n in_o the_o sale_n of_o any_o coal_n or_o the_o engross_a the_o same_o in_o order_n to_o sell_v the_o same_o and_o not_o for_o his_o own_o private_a use_n only_o shall_v act_v or_o otherwise_o intermeddle_v in_o the_o set_n the_o price_n of_o coal_n any_o thing_n in_o this_o act_n to_o the_o contrary_a in_o any_o wise_n notwithstanding_o cap._n iii_o for_o the_o return_v of_o able_a and_o sufficient_a juror_n for_o the_o return_v of_o more_o able_a and_o sufficient_a juror_n for_o trial_n hereafter_o to_o be_v have_v between_o party_n and_o
