by_o what_o you_o shall_v find_v in_o this_o book_n search_n and_o see_v if_o the_o work_n of_o regeneration_n be_v indeed_o wrought_v in_o your_o soul_n and_o do_v not_o take_v up_o and_o deceive_v godliness_n but_o if_o you_o have_v any_o pity_n for_o your_o soul_n try_v and_o prove_v yourselves_o to_o purpose_n until_o you_o know_v your_o condition_n and_o take_v not_o up_o in_o any_o thing_n or_o attainment_n short_a of_o regeneration_n for_o if_o you_o do_v you_o shall_v be_v shut_v out_o of_o heaven_n 4._o if_o you_o find_v upon_o search_n that_o the_o great_a and_o rare_a work_n of_o regeneration_n be_v indeed_o wrought_v in_o your_o heart_n and_o soul_n give_v glory_n to_o god_n and_o exalt_v the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n rejoice_v and_o be_v exceed_o glad_a for_o you_o be_v and_o concern_v themselves_o about_o with_o all_o possible_a diligence_n and_o faithfulness_n for_o it_o be_v for_o their_o life_n except_o a_o man_n be_v bear_v again_o he_o can_v see_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n that_o be_v he_o can_v be_v save_v and_o therefore_o he_o quicken_v and_o provoke_v the_o mind_n of_o man_n to_o ponder_v the_o matter_n and_o lay_v it_o to_o heart_n by_o his_o very_o and_o very_o i_o say_v etc._n etc._n 2._o that_o we_o be_v dull_a of_o hear_v and_o slow_a of_o heart_n to_o believe_v and_o apply_v this_o great_a doctrine_n to_o our_o own_o soul_n but_o to_o imagine_v and_o fancy_v that_o we_o stand_v in_o no_o or_o very_o little_a need_n of_o it_o and_o therefore_o may_v overlook_v slight_a and_o neglect_v it_o as_o most_o man_n do_v 3._o that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n be_v very_o serious_a hearty_a and_o earnest_n with_o man_n in_o persuade_v they_o to_o seek_v after_o regeneration_n and_o that_o he_o do_v real_o and_o unfeigned_o desire_v to_o see_v they_o serious_a in_o that_o so_o great_a concern_v of_o they_o and_o to_o labour_v after_o it_o to_o purpose_n 4._o that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o thing_n as_o regeneration_n and_o that_o man_n may_v be_v regenerate_v if_o they_o will_v not_o slight_a and_o oppose_v it_o these_o and_o other_o such_o thing_n be_v in_o the_o eye_n and_o heart_n of_o christ_n towards_o man_n in_o speak_v thus_o to_o they_o which_o he_o will_v have_v they_o believe_v and_o think_v on_o in_o his_o very_o i_o shall_v have_v occasion_n in_o my_o proceedure_n to_o speak_v further_o to_o this_o text_n and_o therefore_o
