your_o purpose_n of_o go_v into_o ireland_n in_o your_o own_o person_n to_o prosecute_v the_o war_n there_o with_o the_o body_n of_o your_o english_a subject_n levy_v transport_v and_o maintain_v at_o their_o charge_n which_o you_o be_v please_v to_o propound_v to_o we_o not_o as_o a_o matter_n wherein_o your_o majesty_n desire_v the_o advice_n of_o your_o parliament_n but_o as_o already_o firm_o resolve_v on_o and_o forthwith_o to_o be_v put_v in_o execution_n by_o grant_v out_o commission_n for_o the_o levy_n of_o two_o thousand_o foot_n and_o two_o hundred_o horse_n for_o a_o guard_n for_o your_o person_n when_o you_o shall_v come_v into_o that_o kingdom_n wherein_o we_o can_v choose_v but_o withal_o reverence_n and_o humility_n to_o your_o majesty_n observe_v that_o you_o have_v decline_v your_o great_a council_n the_o parliament_n and_o vary_v from_o the_o usual_a course_n of_o your_o royal_a predecessor_n that_o a_o business_n of_o so_o great_a importance_n concern_v the_o peace_n and_o safety_n of_o all_o your_o subject_n and_o wherein_o they_o have_v a_o special_a interest_n by_o your_o majesty_n promise_n and_o by_o those_o great_a sum_n which_o they_o have_v this_o time_n your_o majesty_n shall_v go_v into_o ireland_n you_o will_v very_o much_o endanger_v the_o safety_n of_o your_o royal_a person_n and_o kingdom_n and_o of_o all_o other_o state_n profess_v the_o protestant_a religion_n in_o christendom_n and_o make_v way_n to_o that_o cruel_a and_o bloody_a design_n of_o the_o papist_n every_o where_o to_o root_v out_o and_o destroy_v the_o reform_a religion_n as_o the_o irish_a papist_n have_v in_o a_o great_a part_n already_o effect_v in_o that_o kingdom_n and_o in_o all_o likelihood_n will_v quick_o be_v attempt_v in_o other_o place_n such_o design_n and_o that_o we_o may_v manifest_v to_o your_o majesty_n the_o danger_n and_o misery_n which_o such_o a_o journey_n and_o enterprise_n will_v procure_v we_o present_v to_o your_o majesty_n the_o reason_n of_o this_o our_o humble_a opinion_n and_o advice_n 1_o your_o royal_a person_n will_v be_v subject_a not_o only_o to_o the_o casualty_n of_o war_n but_o to_o secret_a practice_n and_o conspiracy_n especial_o your_o majesty_n continue_v your_o profession_n to_o maintain_v the_o protestant_a religion_n in_o that_o kingdom_n which_o the_o papist_n be_v general_o bind_v by_o their_o vow_n to_o extirpate_v 2_o it_o will_v exceed_o encourage_v the_o rebel_n who_o do_v general_o profess_v and_o declare_v that_o your_o majesty_n do_v favour_n and_o allow_v their_o there_o appear_v less_o necessity_n of_o your_o majesty_n journey_n at_o this_o time_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o manifold_a success_n which_o god_n have_v give_v against_o they_o 3._o it_o will_v much_o hinder_v and_o impair_v the_o mean_n whereby_o this_o war_n be_v to_o be_v support_v and_o will_v increase_v the_o charge_n of_o it_o and_o in_o both_o these_o respect_n make_v it_o more_o insupportable_a to_o your_o subject_n and_o this_o we_o can_v confident_o affirm_v because_o many_o of_o the_o adventurer_n who_o have_v already_o subscribe_v do_v upon_o the_o knowledge_n of_o your_o majesty_n intention_n declare_v their_o resolution_n not_o to_o pay_v in_o their_o money_n and_o other_o very_o willing_a to_o have_v subscribe_v do_v now_o profess_v the_o contrary_n 4._o your_o of_o your_o subject_n more_o probable_a of_o some_o force_n intend_v by_o some_o evil_a counsel_n near_o your_o majesty_n in_o opposition_n to_o the_o parliament_n and_o favour_n of_o the_o malignant_a party_n of_o the_o kingdom_n 6._o it_o will_v bereave_v your_o parliament_n of_o that_o advantage_n whereby_o they_o be_v induce_v to_o undertake_v this_o war_n upon_o your_o majesty_n in_o your_o own_o person_n upon_o which_o and_o divers_a other_o reason_n we_o have_v resolve_v by_o the_o full_a and_o concur_v agreement_n of_o both_o house_n that_o we_o can_v with_o the_o duty_n which_o belong_v to_o we_o consent_n to_o any_o levye_n or_o raise_v of_o soldier_n to_o be_v make_v by_o your_o majesty_n for_o this_o your_o intend_a expedition_n into_o ireland_n or_o to_o the_o payment_n of_o any_o army_n or_o soldier_n there_o but_o such_o as_o shall_v be_v employ_v and_o govern_v according_a to_o our_o advice_n and_o direction_n and_o that_o if_o such_o levye_n shall_v be_v make_v by_o any_o commission_n of_o your_o majesty_n not_o agree_v to_o by_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n we_o shall_v be_v force_v to_o interpret_v the_o same_o to_o be_v raise_v to_o the_o terror_n of_o your_o people_n and_o disturbance_n of_o the_o public_a peace_n and_o hold_v ourselves_o bind_v by_o the_o law_n of_o the_o kingdom_n to_o apply_v the_o authority_n of_o parliament_n to_o suppress_v the_o same_o and_o we_o do_v further_o most_o humble_o declare_v that_o if_o your_o majesty_n shall_v by_o ill_a counsel_n be_v persuade_v to_o go_v contrary_a to_o this_o advice_n of_o your_o parliament_n which_o we_o hope_v your_o majesty_n will_v not_o we_o do_v not_o in_o that_o case_n hold_v ourselves_o bind_v to_o submit_v to_o any_o commissioner_n which_o your_o majesty_n shall_v choose_v but_o do_v resolve_v to_o preserve_v and_o govern_v the_o kingdom_n by_o the_o counsel_n and_o advice_n of_o parliament_n for_o your_o majesty_n and_o your_o posterity_n according_a to_o allegiance_n and_o the_o law_n of_o the_o land_n wherefore_o we_o most_o humble_o pray_v and_o advise_v your_o majesty_n to_o desist_v from_o this_o your_o intend_a passage_n into_o ireland_n and_o from_o all_o preparation_n of_o man_n and_o arm_n tend_v thereunto_o and_o to_o leave_v the_o manage_n of_o that_o war_n to_o your_o parliament_n according_a to_o your_o majesty_n promise_v make_v unto_o we_o and_o your_o royal_a commission_n grant_v under_o your_o great_a seal_n of_o england_n by_o advice_n of_o both_o house_n in_o prosecution_n whereof_o by_o god_n blessing_n we_o have_v make_v a_o prosperous_a entrance_n by_o many_o defeat_v of_o the_o rebel_n whereby_o they_o be_v much_o weaken_v and_o dis-heartened_n and_o have_v no_o probable_a mean_n of_o subsistence_n if_o our_o proceed_n shall_v not_o be_v interrupt_v by_o this_o interposition_n of_o your_o majesty_n i_o urney_n but_o that_o we_o may_v hope_v upon_o good_a ground_n that_o within_o a_o short_a time_n without_o hazard_n of_o your_o majesty_n person_n and_o so_o much_o dangerous_a confusion_n to_o your_o kingdom_n which_o must_v needs_o ensue_v if_o you_o shall_v proceed_v in_o this_o resolution_n we_o shall_v be_v enable_v full_o to_o vindicate_v your_o majesty_n right_a and_o authority_n in_o that_o kingdom_n and_o punish_v those_o horrible_a and_o outrageous_a cruelty_n which_o have_v be_v commit_v in_o the_o murder_n and_o spoil_v so_o many_o of_o your_o subject_n and_o bring_v that_o realm_n to_o such_o a_o condition_n as_o may_v be_v much_o for_o the_o advantage_n of_o
