have_v such_o power_n and_o shall_v proceed_v in_o such_o sort_n as_o be_v hereafter_o mention_v if_o any_o notorious_a and_o scandalous_a offence_n not_o former_o enumerate_v be_v commit_v by_o any_o within_o any_o eldership_n and_o so_o after_o full_a proof_n shall_v be_v find_v before_o the_o eldership_n who_o shall_v have_v power_n to_o examine_v proof_n and_o witness_n on_o both_o side_n in_o case_n both_o the_o eldership_n and_o the_o party_n complain_v of_o do_v agree_v the_o proof_n and_o examination_n to_o be_v due_o take_v the_o say_a eldership_n shall_v forthwith_o certify_v the_o say_a offence_n with_o the_o proof_n to_o the_o say_a committee_n of_o parliament_n who_o shall_v with_o all_o convenient_a speed_n determine_v and_o adjudge_v the_o same_o but_o in_o case_n the_o party_n accuse_v shall_v find_v himself_o grieve_v either_o by_o the_o not_o examination_n or_o undue_a examination_n of_o witness_n or_o mis-entring_a of_o the_o deposition_n in_o such_o case_n he_o shall_v forthwith_o declare_v the_o same_o to_o the_o eldership_n who_o shall_v relieve_v he_o if_o there_o be_v cause_n which_o if_o they_o shall_v not_o do_v than_o the_o three_o justice_n of_o peace_n next_o to_o the_o parish_n whereof_o the_o party_n complain_v of_o be_v a_o member_n or_o any_o two_o of_o they_o not_o be_v of_o the_o same_o eldership_n before_o who_o the_o complaint_n lie_v shall_v have_v power_n and_o be_v hereby_o enable_v and_o require_v forthwith_o to_o examine_v upon_o oath_n the_o say_a witness_n that_o be_v not_o examine_v or_o be_v mis-examined_n or_o who_o deposition_n be_v misentred_n and_o with_o all_o convenient_a speed_n retume_n the_o examination_n to_o the_o say_a committee_n of_o parliament_n and_o in_o case_n the_o say_a justice_n or_o any_o two_o of_o they_o do_v not_o finish_v their_o examination_n within_o six_o day_n after_o the_o cause_n shall_v be_v present_v to_o they_o the_o party_n shall_v abstain_v until_o they_o have_v finish_v and_o certify_v their_o examination_n and_o the_o say_a committee_n upon_o hear_v the_o whole_a matter_n from_o the_o eldership_n and_o justice_n or_o either_o of_o they_o shall_v adjudge_v whether_o the_o same_o be_v a_o notorious_a and_o scandalous_a offence_n and_o so_o prove_v or_o no._n and_o in_o case_n the_o say_a committee_n shall_v not_o adjudge_v and_o determine_v the_o case_n within_o fourteen_o day_n after_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o certificate_n to_o they_o make_v the_o party_n against_o who_o the_o say_a certificate_n shall_v be_v make_v shall_v abstain_v from_o the_o sacrament_n until_o the_o committee_n shall_v determine_v the_o same_o unless_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n the_o party_n shall_v show_v his_o repentance_n for_o the_o say_a offence_n and_o thereof_o give_v satisfaction_n to_o the_o eldership_n and_o if_o the_o say_a committee_n shall_v adjudge_v the_o same_o not_o to_o be_v a_o scandalous_a offence_n or_o not_o well_o prove_v the_o say_a party_n shall_v be_v admit_v to_o the_o sacrament_n and_o if_o they_o shall_v adjudge_v the_o same_o to_o be_v a_o scandalous_a offence_n and_o so_o prove_v he_o shall_v not_o be_v admit_v to_o the_o sacrament_n until_o he_o shall_v have_v testify_v his_o repentance_n to_o the_o eldership_n and_o be_v it_o further_o ordain_v that_o the_o eldership_n shall_v either_o give_v personal_a notice_n to_o the_o party_n complain_v of_o before_o they_o or_o else_o leave_v notice_n in_o write_v at_o his_o dwell_a place_n of_o the_o time_n and_o place_n when_o and_o where_o they_o will_v examine_v witness_n against_o he_o and_o also_o of_o the_o time_n that_o they_o will_v make_v their_o certificate_n to_o the_o committee_n of_o parliament_n and_o in_o case_n information_n shall_v be_v give_v to_o the_o eldership_n of_o a_o notorious_a and_o scandalous_a offence_n commit_v by_o any_o within_o their_o eldership_n they_o shall_v forthwith_o proceed_v to_o the_o examinat_fw-la on_o thereof_o and_o if_o they_o can_v finish_v their_o examination_n till_o the_o week_n before_o the_o sacrament_n and_o they_o shall_v then_o find_v by_o sufficient_a proof_n that_o he_o have_v commit_v a_o notorious_a and_o scandalous_a offence_n and_o yet_o they_o can_v certify_v the_o same_o before_o the_o sacrament_n it_o be_v to_o be_v administer_v within_o a_o week_n after_o in_o such_o case_n the_o party_n shall_v abstain_v from_o the_o sacrament_n for_o the_o next_o time_n only_o unless_o the_o committee_n of_o parliament_n to_o who_o the_o same_o be_v to_o be_v certify_v shall_v adjudge_v the_o same_o a_o notorious_a and_o scandalous_a offence_n and_o so_o prove_v for_o which_o he_o ought_v to_o be_v keep_v from_o the_o sacrament_n and_o in_o such_o case_n upon_o the_o testify_a of_o his_o repentance_n to_o the_o eldership_n he_o shall_v be_v again_o restore_v to_o the_o sacrament_n and_o not_o before_o and_o be_v it_o further_o ordain_v if_o any_o shall_v find_v themselves_o aggrieve_v with_o the_o judgement_n against_o he_o give_v by_o the_o say_a committee_n they_o shall_v appeal_v from_o thence_o to_o both_o house_n of_o parliament_n if_o they_o see_v cause_n and_o be_v it_o ordain_v that_o the_o committee_n to_o who_o the_o say_a certificate_n shall_v be_v make_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v report_v to_o both_o house_n the_o say_v several_a case_n to_o they_o certify_v and_o their_o judgement_n thereupon_o that_o so_o the_o offence_n not_o yet_o enumerate_v may_v be_v add_v to_o the_o enumeration_n in_o case_n the_o house_n shall_v so_o think_v sit_v and_o in_o their_o report_n they_o shall_v take_v care_n that_o they_o first_o report_v those_o certificate_n and_o their_o opinion_n thereupon_o wherein_o they_o at_o any_o time_n shall_v
