we_o shall_v get_v heart_n fix_v upon_o the_o duty_n that_o so_o we_o may_v not_o have_v waver_v heart_n half_o off_o and_o half_a on_o the_o duty_n but_o that_o the_o whole_a man_n may_v be_v employ_v about_o it_o three_o we_o shall_v be_v watchful_a after_o the_o duty_n that_o we_o may_v not_o lose_v the_o benefit_n and_o reward_n of_o the_o duty_n lest_o the_o subtlety_n of_o satan_n and_o the_o wile_n of_o our_o own_o heart_n do_v rob_v we_o of_o the_o fruit_n of_o it_o though_o a_o man_n hear_v very_o attentive_o and_o pray_v and_o perform_v all_o other_o duty_n very_o enlarged_o yet_o when_o he_o have_v do_v all_o he_o may_v lose_v the_o comfort_n and_o reward_n of_o the_o duty_n therefore_o when_o we_o hear_v the_o word_n we_o shall_v watch_v over_o our_o heart_n that_o the_o foul_n of_o the_o air_n may_v not_o pluck_v it_o out_o again_o that_o if_o we_o have_v any_o quicken_a we_o may_v not_o lose_v it_o again_o if_o we_o have_v hear_v any_o thing_n that_o perform_v a_o ordinance_n aright_o how_o careful_a be_v he_o not_o to_o lose_v the_o benefit_n thereof_o he_o go_v to_o the_o temple_n to_o pray_v and_o he_o be_v watchful_a before_o the_o duty_n in_o his_o bosom_n so_o when_o we_o be_v at_o a_o sermon_n we_o shall_v watch_v that_o we_o may_v go_v home_o quicken_v and_o better_v and_o when_o we_o be_v at_o conference_n we_o shall_v watch_v that_o we_o may_v return_v home_o with_o the_o fruit_n and_o benefit_n of_o the_o duty_n so_o for_o all_o other_o ordinance_n we_o shall_v be_v careful_a and_o watchful_a that_o we_o may_v not_o lose_v the_o reward_n for_o the_o devil_n be_v crafty_a and_o our_o own_o heart_n be_v ready_a to_o betray_v we_o therefore_o we_o have_v need_n be_v watchful_a and_o that_o be_v the_o second_o thing_n we_o shall_v watch_v the_o duty_n of_o religion_n time_n three_o we_o shall_v watch_v time_n and_o season_n god_n know_v what_o miserable_a thing_n be_v a_o come_n therefore_o what_o time_n the_o lord_n allot_v we_o we_o have_v need_n improve_v it_o to_o the_o best_a advantage_n that_o we_o may_v redeem_v the_o time_n how_o many_o hour_n do_v run_v from_o we_o before_o we_o be_v aware_a how_o many_o day_n and_o month_n and_o year_n have_v we_o let_v slip_v away_o and_o we_o be_v little_a the_o better_a our_o time_n be_v a_o special_a thing_n and_o therefore_o we_o have_v need_v to_o the_o time_n of_o god_n anger_n and_o displeasure_n wrath_n it_o be_v a_o miserable_a thing_n when_o a_o man_n pass_v on_o like_o a_o fool_n and_o god_n anger_n come_v forth_o and_o a_o man_n be_v not_o provide_v have_v not_o a_o defence_n for_o it_o there_o be_v day_n of_o anger_n and_o visitation_n when_o god_n come_v to_o visit_v people_n for_o their_o sin_n to_o visit_v a_o parish_n to_o visit_v a_o family_n to_o visit_v a_o person_n and_o what_o a_o woeful_a thing_n be_v it_o for_o a_o man_n to_o be_v drowsy_a and_o negligent_a when_o god_n anger_n burst_v forth_o and_o so_o he_o have_v no_o evidence_n of_o comfort_n to_o his_o soul_n he_o know_v not_o how_o to_o meet_v god_n in_o the_o field_n but_o when_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n break_v out_o in_o any_o kind_n upon_o his_o good_n or_o wife_n or_o child_n or_o body_n or_o friend_n or_o any_o thing_n he_o be_v at_o a_o loss_n and_o know_v not_o what_o to_o do_v he_o be_v fain_o to_o sink_v under_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n and_o have_v no_o refuge_n to_o fly_v unto_o therefore_o we_o shall_v watch_v against_o the_o day_n of_o god_n anger_n three_o grace_n we_o shall_v watch_v over_o the_o time_n of_o grace_n for_o there_o be_v gracious_a and_o acceptable_a time_n as_o the_o apostle_n call_v they_o 2_o cor._n 6.21_o many_o time_n good_a motion_n come_v in_o now_o if_o we_o do_v not_o watch_v to_o keep_v they_o offer_v more_o and_o it_o be_v well_o if_o he_o can_v be_v humble_v for_o miss_v of_o that_o mercy_n by_o his_o neglect_n and_o watch_v for_o the_o future_a the_o time_n of_o grace_n again_o we_o shall_v watch_v the_o time_n of_o death_n death_n we_o be_v all_o mortal_a man_n must_v die_v and_o bless_a be_v that_o servant_n who_o his_o lord_n when_o he_o come_v shall_v find_v he_o so_o do_v nay_o they_o be_v so_o far_o from_o watch_v how_o to_o be_v save_v that_o they_o watch_v how_o the_o devil_n may_v take_v they_o when_o a_o man_n sin_n he_o wish_v the_o devil_n will_v help_v he_o to_o more_o sin_n a_o covetous_a man_n be_v so_o far_o from_o watch_v over_o his_o sin_n that_o he_o will_v have_v more_o opportunity_n and_o more_o occasion_n of_o get_v the_o devil_n can_v come_v fast_o enough_o to_o fill_v his_o heart_n with_o these_o thing_n so_o if_o a_o man_n be_v give_v to_o pleasure_n he_o think_v he_o can_v have_v enough_o but_o will_v have_v more_o still_o thus_o people_n will_v have_v the_o devil_n put_v more_o corn_n into_o the_o hopper_n they_o be_v so_o far_o from_o watch_v for_o good_a that_o they_o watch_v for_o evil_n they_o devise_v evil_a upon_o their_o bed_n as_o the_o prophet_n micah_n speak_v they_o be_v possess_v with_o the_o spirit_n of_o slumber_n they_o have_v eye_n and_o see_v not_o they_o have_v ear_n and_o hear_v not_o heart_n and_o understand_v not_o they_o do_v not_o know_v what_o watchfulness_n be_v if_o they_o do_v they_o be_v the_o less_o excusable_a because_o they_o practise_v it_o not_o they_o do_v not_o watch_v and_o wake_v unto_o prayer_n that_o they_o may_v not_o enter_v into_o temptation_n but_o be_v carry_v away_o with_o the_o world_n and_o sin_n the_o second_o use_n be_v neglect_n to_o they_o that_o be_v godly_a in_o some_o measure_n that_o we_o can_v say_v they_o altogether_o do_v not_o watch_v yet_o how_o negligent_a be_v they_o in_o this_o duty_n many_o christian_n be_v there_o among_o we_o that_o have_v some_o goodness_n in_o they_o yet_o how_o do_v this_o duty_n lie_v unpractised_a whence_o come_v all_o the_o vanity_n in_o our_o mind_n and_o untowardness_n in_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n whence_o come_v all_o unfruitfulnesse_n in_o our_o meeting_n and_o unsettlednesse_n in_o our_o conscience_n it_o be_v because_o we_o do_v not_o watch_v whence_o come_v it_o that_o we_o be_v no_o more_o ready_a to_o good_a duty_n when_o we_o be_v call_v forth_o on_o the_o sudden_a to_o pray_v or_o do_v any_o thing_n for_o the_o good_a of_o god_n church_n and_o people_n that_o we_o be_v so_o unfit_a to_o do_v it_o and_o so_o backward_o it_o be_v for_o want_v of_o watchfulness_n nay_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o we_o perform_v not_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n in_o our_o family_n better_a but_o because_o we_o do_v not_o watch_v the_o very_a regenerate_v themselves_o what_o a_o world_n of_o mischief_n do_v they_o do_v to_o their_o own_o soul_n for_o want_v of_o this_o duty_n of_o watchfulness_n how_o do_v they_o swell_v in_o sin_n and_o be_v slack_a in_o goodness_n and_o slubber_v over_o god_n service_n how_o do_v they_o favour_v themselves_o too_o too_o much_o and_o suffer_v the_o dishonour_n of_o god_n by_o the_o wicked_a and_o suffer_v their_o own_o heart_n to_o dishonour_v he_o too_o too_o much_o three_o watch_v the_o next_o use_n shall_v be_v to_o show_v you_o the_o rule_n that_o be_v to_o be_v observe_v in_o watch_v and_o the_o rule_n be_v these_o if_o you_o will_v watch_v over_o yourselves_o first_o count_z watchfulness_n your_o very_a life_n life_n and_o think_v if_o you_o let_v watchfulness_n go_v you_o let_v your_o life_n go_v for_o if_o once_o watchfulness_n go_v how_o dead_a be_v you_o in_o prayer_n and_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n so_o proportion_v our_o watch_n about_o according_a as_o the_o duty_n be_v we_o take_v in_o hand_n so_o our_o watch_n may_v be_v there_o be_v one_o kind_a of_o watch_v for_o one_o kind_n of_o duty_n alone_o then_o be_v in_o bad_a company_n as_o the_o prophet_n david_n say_v psal_n 102.7_o i_o watch_v and_o be_o alone_a as_o a_o sparrow_n on_o the_o house_n top_n he_o be_v alone_o and_o yet_o he_o be_v watch_v a_o man_n when_o he_o be_v alone_o may_v be_v watch_v rather_o than_o when_o he_o be_v in_o such_o company_n a_o man_n can_v never_o look_v to_o himself_o well_o unless_o he_o prize_v the_o communion_n of_o saint_n second_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v sober_a take_v heed_n of_o spiritual_a drunkenness_n drunkenness_n take_v heed_n of_o the_o care_n of_o this_o life_n and_o that_o you_o
