agitation_n betwixt_o they_o be_v such_o as_o may_v be_v tolerate_v and_o that_o there_o be_v not_o any_o thing_n contain_v in_o the_o faith_n and_o doctrine_n of_o either_o side_n which_o overthrow_v salvation_n now_o be_v but_o this_o once_o agree_v upon_o and_o believe_v on_o both_o side_n there_o will_v remain_v little_a or_o no_o difficulty_n in_o this_o whole_a business_n wherein_o worthy_a man_n do_v at_o this_o present_a employ_v themselves_o namely_o of_o settle_v peace_n and_o unity_n among_o our_o church_n for_o see_v there_o be_v but_o two_o way_n possible_a of_o be_v reconcile_v either_o that_o one_o side_n shall_v renounce_v their_o private_a opinion_n and_o come_v over_o to_o the_o other_o or_o else_o that_o both_o side_n shall_v join_v together_o retain_v their_o several_a opinion_n and_o by_o a_o mutual_a condescend_v shall_v each_o of_o they_o tolerate_v that_o which_o they_o dislike_v in_o the_o other_o doctrine_n especial_o if_o it_o be_v such_o as_o can_v be_v alter_v without_o peril_n and_o damage_n to_o a_o whole_a church_n the_o former_a of_o these_o two_o way_n as_o we_o conceive_v be_v not_o now_o to_o be_v stand_v upon_o whereof_o trial_n have_v be_v heretofore_o make_v not_o only_o without_o success_n but_o with_o much_o danger_n and_o harm_n as_o appear_v sufficient_o from_o those_o many_o disputation_n and_o conference_n which_o have_v be_v hold_v betwixt_o both_o side_n during_o this_o whole_a age_n whereby_o hatred_n and_o and_o enmity_n have_v be_v engender_v rather_o than_o extinguish_v and_o the_o number_n of_o controversy_n rather_o increase_v than_o diminish_v we_o must_v therefore_o betake_v ourselves_o to_o that_o other_o way_n of_o be_v reconcile_v and_o in_o it_o must_v we_o employ_v all_o our_o pain_n and_o care_n and_o study_n as_o be_v indeed_o both_o the_o only_a easy_a and_o lawful_a way_n yea_o and_o necessary_a too_o in_o our_o judgement_n and_o that_o we_o may_v at_o length_n attain_v unto_o this_o it_o will_v not_o be_v amiss_o as_o we_o conceive_v to_o proceed_v after_o this_o manner_n and_o method_n first_o we_o must_v endeavour_v that_o a_o kind_n of_o truce_n and_o cessation_n from_o our_o strife_n and_o contention_n may_v be_v agree_v upon_o and_o enjoin_v the_o divine_n of_o both_o side_n and_o that_o they_o be_v stir_v up_o and_o exhort_v to_o take_v this_o whole_a business_n into_o consideration_n this_o be_v obtain_v in_o the_o next_o place_n special_a diligence_n must_v be_v use_v that_o after_o a_o meek_a friendly_a and_o most_o persuasive_a manner_n it_o be_v make_v appear_v to_o all_o that_o we_o be_v not_o at_o variance_n about_o any_o fundamental_a point_n of_o christian_a religion_n or_o such_o wherein_o man_n may_v not_o safe_o be_v of_o either_o opinion_n without_o hazard_v their_o salvation_n and_o here_o man_n must_v be_v very_o careful_a that_o they_o refrain_v from_o all_o intricate_a question_n and_o trifle_a dispute_n such_o wherein_o the_o schoolman_n have_v spend_v so_o much_o pain_n mince_v and_o mangle_v every_o thing_n into_o i_o know_v not_o how_o many_o piece_n and_o then_o handle_v every_o piece_n several_o which_o serve_v for_o no_o other_o end_n save_v only_o to_o torture_v and_o torment_v man_n mind_n but_o no_o way_n make_v for_o edification_n will_v but_o god_n be_v please_v so_o far_o to_o prosper_v these_o endeavour_n as_o that_o thus_o much_o may_v be_v once_o bring_v to_o pass_v we_o make_v no_o doubt_n but_o every_o man_n will_v then_o ready_o wish_v for_o this_o much-desired_a communion_n which_o none_o ever_o shun_v or_o refuse_v but_o out_o of_o a_o kind_n of_o religion_n and_o conscience_n conceive_v it_o unlawful_a to_o entertain_v a_o communion_n with_o any_o that_o be_v not_o of_o the_o same_o belief_n and_o opinion_n with_o themselves_o so_o soon_o as_o man_n on_o both_o side_n shall_v be_v wrought_v off_o from_o this_o superstitious_a conceit_n they_o will_v glad_o run_v and_o rush_v as_o it_o be_v into_o one_o another_o arm_n and_o embrace_n for_o it_o can_v be_v imagine_v that_o there_o be_v any_o man_n either_o of_o the_o one_o side_n or_o the_o other_o so_o stupid_a and_o void_a of_o all_o reason_n and_o and_o religion_n but_o know_v how_o foul_a and_o scandalous_a a_o thing_n how_o hurtful_a to_o both_o side_n how_o dangerous_a and_o pernicious_a to_o the_o whole_a christian_a world_n this_o schism_n be_v which_o have_v hitherto_o divide_v and_o distract_v we_o on_o the_o other_o side_n how_o sweet_a how_o beneficial_a both_o to_o ourselves_o and_o all_o other_o unity_n and_o peace_n will_v be_v so_o it_o may_v be_v have_v without_o loss_n of_o faith_n and_o salvation_n and_o true_o the_o way_n to_o settle_v this_o unity_n be_v we_o but_o once_o come_v to_o that_o be_v plain_a and_o easy_a for_o see_v we_o do_v both_o of_o we_o by_o god_n grace_n equal_o acknowledge_v and_o believe_v the_o gospel_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n pen_v by_o his_o disciple_n and_o
