follow_v that_o we_o speak_v of_o the_o three_o grace_n to_o be_v exercise_v in_o this_o holy_a commemoration_n of_o christ_n death_n which_o be_v thankfulness_n a_o grace_n of_o singular_a use_n in_o this_o sacrament_n which_o thence_o take_v its_o name_n of_o eucharistia_n whereby_o it_o be_v frequent_o style_v sorrow_n and_o joy_n must_v here_o be_v mingle_v together_o a_o sorrow_n for_o sin_n that_o deserve_v such_o suffering_n buâ—_n a_o joy_n unspeakable_a and_o glorious_a in_o thanksgiving_n to_o christ_n for_o his_o great_a mercy_n in_o take_v upon_o he_o such_o suffering_n and_o great_a cause_n there_o be_v we_o shall_v be_v thankful_a for_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n in_o thâ—se_a three_o respect_n 1._o because_o by_o it_o the_o great_a blessing_n that_o ever_o be_v be_v lord_n of_o life_n a_o very_a horrible_a offence_n but_o here_o not_o much_o out_o of_o the_o way_n let_v we_o learn_v one_o observation_n that_o may_v be_v of_o use_n to_o rectify_v our_o judgement_n in_o this_o and_o other_o the_o like_a matter_n it_o be_v this_o the_o quality_n of_o sin_n be_v not_o to_o be_v measure_v by_o we_o but_o by_o god_n judgement_n of_o it_o as_o the_o heaven_n be_v above_o the_o earth_n so_o be_v my_o way_n high_a than_o your_o way_n and_o my_o thought_n above_o your_o thought_n say_v god_n isaiah_n 55.8_o it_o be_v true_a in_o all_o thing_n and_o it_o hold_v in_o this_o also_o about_o the_o nature_n of_o siâ—ne_n god_n see_v not_o as_o man_n see_v he_o judge_v not_o as_o man_n judge_v it_o be_v as_o natural_a to_o man_n to_o extenuate_v sin_n as_o it_o into_o a_o praemunire_n or_o treason_n power_n be_v in_o the_o hand_n of_o a_o king_n and_o it_o be_v he_o must_v interpret_v how_o far_o he_o take_v himself_o wrong_v by_o the_o attempt_n so_o in_o sin_n when_o we_o meddle_v with_o it_o we_o meddle_v with_o god_n our_o chief_a sovereign_a lord_n our_o allegiance_n to_o heaven_n be_v streightway_n call_v in_o question_n every_o offence_n in_o this_o case_n be_v capital_a and_o incur_v the_o punishment_n of_o rebellion_n wherefore_o it_o concern_v we_o so_o to_o think_v of_o sin_n as_o god_n speak_v of_o it_o and_o in_o this_o point_n less_o than_o in_o any_o to_o lean_v unto_o our_o own_o wisdom_n but_o to_o be_v rule_v by_o he_o all_o our_o distinction_n extenuation_n qualification_n rejection_n upon_o other_o good_a intention_n by_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o the_o lord_n he_o mean_v the_o death_n of_o christ_n jesus_n who_o body_n be_v crucify_v and_o his_o blood_n shed_v by_o the_o jew_n but_o here_o the_o question_n his_o death_n but_o how_o can_v this_o be_v so_o thus_o he_o that_o profane_v and_o abuse_v this_o holy_a sacrament_n do_v in_o a_o special_a manner_n offer_v contempt_n unto_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ._n forasmuch_o as_o the_o sacrament_n be_v appoint_v for_o this_o very_a end_n to_o be_v a_o sign_n and_o visible_a representation_n of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n wherein_o like_a but_o much_o inferior_a case_n when_o the_o picture_n seal_n arm_n chair_n of_o estate_n of_o any_o king_n be_v violate_v the_o disgrace_n do_v to_o they_o redound_v immediate_o to_o the_o contempt_n of_o the_o king_n person_n and_o the_o doer_n of_o it_o be_v punishable_a as_o if_o he_o have_v attempt_v violence_n upon_o the_o king_n himself_o so_o he_o that_o unworthy_o use_v this_o sacrament_n of_o christ_n death_n must_v needs_o offer_v contempt_n to_o his_o death_n itself_o now_o no_o man_n can_v in_o any_o sort_n disesteem_v the_o death_n of_o christ_n but_o he_o in_o part_n consent_v to_o the_o treasonable_a conspiracy_n and_o practice_n of_o judas_n and_o the_o jew_n in_o put_v he_o to_o death_n as_o if_o it_o be_v a_o matter_n not_o ill_o do_v oâ—_n not_o so_o ill_o do_v as_o it_o be_v indeed_o yea_o he_o that_o slight_o pass_v over_o the_o death_n of_o a_o innocent_a person_n make_v a_o small_a matter_n of_o it_o he_o either_o make_v the_o innocent_a to_o be_v indeed_o nocent_a one_o that_o have_v just_o deserve_v to_o be_v slay_v who_o be_v slay_v deserve_v so_o little_a regard_n or_o at_o least_o he_o make_v himself_o nocent_a breed_v a_o just_a suspicion_n that_o he_o be_v or_o will_v have_v be_v consent_v to_o that_o man_n death_n you_o see_v then_o that_o it_o be_v no_o small_a matter_n to_o profane_v the_o sacrament_n but_o a_o very_a heinous_a offence_n which_o bring_v we_o within_o the_o guilt_n of_o that_o horrible_a sin_n of_o murder_v the_o lord_n of_o life_n the_o thought_n whereof_o shall_v make_v we_o to_o tremble_v and_o that_o in_o thus_o do_v they_o have_v demonstrate_v much_o love_n towards_o god_n but_o do_v god_n take_v it_o so_o no_o in_o his_o wrath_n and_o jealousy_n he_o will_v punish_v they_o and_o their_o appear_v accompany_v with_o such_o circumstance_n and_o quality_n as_o be_v utter_o distasteful_a to_o â—heir_v false_a opinion_n and_o corrupt_a affection_n so_o that_o now_o as_o the_o prophet_n malachy_n have_v foretell_v so_o it_o fall_v out_o who_o may_v abide_v the_o day_n of_o his_o come_n and_o who_o may_v endure_v when_o he_o appear_v mal._n 3.2_o these_o jew_n can_v not_o abide_v it_o with_o any_o patience_n nor_o can_v any_o who_o heart_n be_v like_a unto_o they_o now_o the_o cause_n of_o all_o this_o why_o man_n indeed_o may_v hate_v that_o good_a they_o seem_v to_o love_v be_v be_v in_o he_o a_o habitual_a corrupt_a temper_n of_o his_o heart_n that_o stand_v utter_o opposite_a to_o god_n and_o goodness_n and_o let_v it_o be_v but_o once_o stir_v by_o the_o preach_n and_o old_a age_n or_o some_o such_o matter_n have_v bring_v they_o to_o their_o end_n any_o thing_n rather_o than_o what_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o shall_v be_v reckon_v up_o as_o the_o cause_n of_o their_o present_a grief_n but_o he_o have_v a_o better_a spirit_n to_o judge_v of_o matter_n tell_v they_o plain_o that_o what_o ever_o they_o may_v imagine_v it_o be_v for_o abuse_v of_o the_o they_o of_o their_o country_n for_o which_o they_o be_v hate_v and_o all_o occasion_n seek_v to_o work_v revenge_n if_o the_o kingdom_n be_v divide_v that_o be_v nothing_o but_o rehoboams_n folly_n yea_o if_o a_o salmanasser_n or_o nabuchadnezzar_n carry_v they_o away_o captive_a out_o of_o their_o land_n though_o they_o may_v think_v in_o the_o general_a that_o god_n be_v not_o well_o please_v with_o they_o yet_o they_o will_v resolve_v these_o effect_n into_o other_o cause_n more_o proper_a as_o they_o conceive_v it_o be_v weakness_n in_o their_o king_n degenerate_v from_o their_o ancient_a valour_n want_v of_o good_a confederate_n of_o good_a counsellor_n of_o skilful_a and_o trusty_a commander_n of_o hardy_a soldier_n they_o be_v over-borne_a by_o multitude_n and_o these_o or_o some_o thing_n like_o these_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o this_o misfortune_n but_o of_o their_o sin_n they_o think_v not_o of_o that_o matter_n many_o there_o be_v no_o doubt_n who_o judge_v better_a touch_v the_o success_n of_o civil_a and_o ecclesiastical_a affair_n who_o eye_n god_n have_v open_v to_o discern_v the_o equal_a dependence_n between_o the_o sin_n and_o the_o punishment_n of_o the_o present_a age_n wherein_o they_o live_v but_o for_o the_o generality_n of_o the_o state_n their_o thought_n go_v another_o way_n after_o worldly_a and_o politic_a reason_n which_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o be_v so_o often_o smite_v yet_o they_o return_v not_o to_o god_n that_o smite_v they_o because_o they_o be_v ignorant_a of_o their_o sin_n for_o which_o he_o smite_v they_o
