find_v no_o more_o consolation_n than_o you_o do_v now_o in_o the_o most_o extremity_n of_o your_o trouble_n neither_o yet_o do_v they_o hasty_o obtain_v comfort_n for_o david_n say_v o_o lord_n how_o long_o will_v thou_o so_o cruel_o punish_v i_o and_o yet_o we_o know_v most_o assure_o that_o they_o be_v hear_v &_o that_o they_o obtain_v their_o own_o heart_n desire_n as_o no_o doubt_n every_o man_n shall_v that_o in_o time_n of_o trouble_n be_v it_o spiritual_a or_o corporal_a appear_v only_o to_o god_n mercy_n the_o second_o ground_n and_o foundation_n whereupon_o the_o prayer_n of_o david_n do_v stand_v be_v the_o infinite_a goodness_n of_o god_n for_o thus_o he_o say_v save_v i_o o_o god_n for_o thy_o goodness_n david_n before_o have_v ask_v mercy_n and_o declare_v his_o complaint_n but_o now_o search_v &_o reason_v with_o himself_o secret_o in_o his_o conscience_n after_o this_o manner_n why_o shall_v god_n show_v mercy_n unto_o he_o that_o so_o heinous_o have_v offend_v and_o that_o just_o be_v torment_v by_o god_n hand_n for_o his_o transgression_n &_o sin_n no_o other_o ground_n that_o be_v always_o sure_a &_o permanent_a find_v he_o except_o god_n infinite_a goodness_n which_o he_o espi_v to_o be_v only_o the_o stay_n which_o neither_o tempest_n of_o wind_n faith_n neither_o flood_n of_o water_n be_v able_a to_o overthrow_v nor_o undermine_v and_o oh_o how_o pierce_a be_v the_o eye_n of_o faith_n that_o in_o so_o deep_a a_o dungeon_n of_o desperation_n can_v yet_o espy_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o those_o troublesome_a darkness_n goodness_n to_o remain_v in_o god_n yea_o and_o such_o goodness_n as_o be_v sufficient_a and_o able_a to_o overcome_v devour_v and_o swallow_v up_o all_o the_o iniquity_n of_o his_o elect_a so_o that_o none_o of_o they_o be_v able_a to_o gainstande_v or_o hinder_v god_n infinite_a goodness_n to_o show_v his_o mercy_n to_o his_o trouble_a child_n hereby_o be_v we_o teach_v belove_a mother_n in_o the_o extremity_n of_o our_o trouble_n to_o run_v to_o god_n only_a goodness_n there_o to_o seek_v comfort_n by_o jesus_n christ_n and_o no_o where_o else_o i_o fear_v nothing_o the_o blasphemous_a voice_n of_o such_o nor_o their_o rage_a against_o god_n and_o against_o his_o only_a eternal_a verity_n that_o be_v not_o ashamed_a to_o affirm_v that_o this_o kind_n of_o doctrine_n make_v man_n negligent_a to_o do_v good_a work_n against_o who_o no_o otherwise_o will_v i_o contend_v then_o do_v the_o apostle_n say_v their_o damnation_n be_v just_a for_o my_o purpose_n and_o mind_n be_v to_o edify_v those_o who_o god_n have_v call_v from_o darkness_n to_o light_n who_o eye_n it_o have_v please_v his_o mercy_n so_o to_o open_v that_o evident_o they_o feel_v the_o fl●sh_n to_o rebel_v

most_o earnest_o david_n desire_v to_o live_v in_o israel_n for_o the_o further_a manifestation_n of_o god_n glory_n here_o be_v to_o be_v observe_v a_o short_a but_o yet_o a_o most_o necessary_a note_n which_o be_v this_o what_o the_o thing_n be_v which_o we_o ought_v principal_o to_o seek_v in_o this_o transitory_a life_n not_o those_o for_o the_o which_o the_o blind_a world_n contend_v and_o strive_v but_o god_n and_o his_o love_a kindness_n to_o ward_v mankind_n his_o amiable_a promise_n and_o true_a religion_n to_o be_v advance_v and_o preach_v unto_o other_o our_o brethren_n that_o be_v ignorant_a for_o if_o we_o do_v not_o we_o may_v rather_o be_v count_v beast_n than_o man_n dead_a stock_n not_o live_v creature_n yea_o rather_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o at_o all_o geve_v praise_n to_o his_o holy_a name_n the_o sea_n flood_n and_o fountain_n with_o the_o wonder_n contain_v in_o the_o same_o do_v not_o cease_v to_o make_v manifest_a the_o wisdom_n the_o power_n and_o the_o providence_n of_o their_o creator_n what_o then_o be_v say_v of_o man_n that_o neither_o seek_v neither_o regard_v god_n glory_n yea_o what_o shall_v be_v judge_v of_o those_o that_o not_o only_o hinder_v god_n glory_n but_o also_o declare_v themselves_o enemy_n to_o such_o as_o will_v promote_v it_o i_o must_v speak_v my_o conscience_n with_o a_o sorrowful_a heart_n they_o be_v not_o only_o dead_a but_o they_o be_v also_o of_o the_o nature_n of_o he_o by_o who_o malice_n and_o envy_n death_n enter_v into_o the_o world_n that_o be_v of_o the_o devil_n but_o they_o i_o omit_v at_o in_o our_o soul_n most_o notable_a virtue_n such_o as_o be_v humility_n mercy_n contempt_n of_o ourselves_o and_o continual_a remembrance_n of_o our_o own_o weakness_n and_o imperfection_n and_o see_v that_o you_o have_v have_v most_o evident_a sign_n that_o this_o same_o medicine_n have_v wrought_v in_o you_o a_o part_n of_o all_o the_o promise_n receive_v it_o thankful_o of_o your_o father_n hand_n what_o trouble_v soever_o it_o bring_v with_o it_o and_o albeit_o that_o the_o flesh_n grudge_n yet_o let_v the_o spirit_n rejoice_v steadfast_o look_v for_o deliverance_n &_o assure_o you_o
