with_o blood._n so_o great_a and_o reverend_a be_v that_o action_n or_o passion_n rather_o of_o our_o lord_n with_o respect_n to_o his_o suffer_v in_o our_o stead_n which_o otherwise_o will_v require_v a_o good_a invention_n to_o make_v it_o appear_v not_o mean._n add_v to_o this_o that_o expression_n of_o he_o my_o god_n my_o god_n why_o have_v thou_o forsake_v i_o have_v he_o die_v only_o for_o a_o example_n unto_o we_o and_o a_o confirmation_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o what_o he_o declare_v why_o shall_v he_o thus_o have_v cry_v out_o shall_v we_o ourselves_o be_v call_v to_o follow_v his_o step_n yet_o as_o in_o his_o life_n there_o be_v some_o thing_n above_o a_o example_n so_o in_o his_o death_n likewise_o there_o be_v which_o be_v place_v beyond_o our_o imitation_n we_o may_v imitate_v his_o meekness_n and_o patience_n and_o love_n to_o mankind_n but_o the_o height_n of_o his_o suffering_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o world_n we_o can_v and_o some_o expression_n betoken_v the_o greatness_n of_o his_o passion_n whether_o from_o his_o word_n or_o bloody_a sweat_n must_v stand_v alone_o as_o high_o agreeable_a to_o the_o state_n of_o his_o agony_n but_o not_o so_o fit_a for_o any_o beside_o himself_o thus_o amiable_a be_v these_o prophecy_n to_o the_o considerate_a reader_n not_o only_o in_o so_o exact_o foretell_v his_o suffering_n and_o death_n and_o thereby_o vindicate_v the_o honour_n of_o our_o religion_n against_o the_o jew_n who_o upbraid_v we_o with_o those_o his_o suffering_n and_o death_n but_o also_o in_o show_v forth_o a_o true_a beauty_n in_o the_o now-mentioned_a deportment_n of_o our_o saviour_n which_o a_o horrid_a opinion_n of_o some_o who_o call_v themselves_o christian_n do_v tend_v to_o make_v very_o unbecoming_a nor_o may_v the_o prophecy_n of_o the_o manner_n of_o his_o death_n be_v less_o satisfactory_a unto_o we_o to_o wit_n they_o pierce_v my_o hand_n and_o my_o foot_n psal_n 22.17_o and_o zach._n 12.10_o they_o shall_v look_v upon_o i_o who_o they_o have_v pierce_v for_o how_o right_o be_v these_o fulfil_v in_o his_o suffering_n the_o roman_a crucifixion_n the_o jew_n have_v no_o sort_n of_o punishment_n in_o which_o the_o undergoer_n be_v thus_o pierce_v and_o this_o death_n be_v inflict_v by_o the_o roman_a power_n direct_v we_o to_o the_o satisfaction_n of_o another_o prophecy_n viz._n the_o sceptre_n shall_v not_o depart_v from_o judah_n till_o shiloh_n come_v but_o the_o power_n of_o life_n and_o death_n which_o be_v the_o most_o proper_a signification_n of_o sceptre_n be_v herod_n the_o great_a and_o archelaus_n
