conclusion_n however_o take_v a_o few_o word_n of_o application_n and_o first_o of_o all_o by_o way_n of_o examination_n and_o because_o we_o be_v upon_o a_o matter_n of_o very_a great_a importance_n i_o desire_v we_o may_v all_o be_v faithful_a to_o our_o own_o soul_n herein_o the_o several_a particular_n which_o i_o shall_v commend_v to_o your_o consideration_n by_o way_n of_o examination_n be_v these_o follow_v first_o pray_v let_v we_o examine_v whether_o samson_n be_v come_v down_o to_o timnath_n i_o mean_v whether_o christ_n jesus_n be_v come_v home_o to_o our_o heart_n whether_o he_o have_v give_v a_o awaken_n and_o a_o effectual_a call_n in_o and_o by_o the_o gospel_n to_o our_o soul_n which_o have_v bring_v we_o out_o of_o darkness_n into_o his_o marvellous_a light_n and_o out_o of_o the_o kingdom_n and_o territory_n of_o satan_n death_n and_o hell_n into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o his_o dear_a son_n object_n but_o may_v be_v you_o will_v say_v but_o how_o shall_v i_o know_v it_o answ_n to_o which_o i_o answer_v by_o these_o three_o follow_a mark_n first_o if_o samson_n be_v come_v down_o to_o timnath_n if_o christ_n be_v come_v home_o upon_o your_o heart_n to_o call_v your_o soul_n home_o to_o himself_o as_o aforesaid_a then_o have_v he_o give_v you_o a_o true_a sight_n and_o a_o sense_n of_o your_o philistine_n condition_n of_o your_o uncircumcised_a estate_n which_o you_o be_v in_o by_o nature_n a_o true_a sight_n of_o which_o do_v chief_o consist_v in_o these_o five_o thing_n one_a in_o be_v bring_v to_o see_v yourselves_o to_o be_v the_o chief_a of_o sinner_n sensible_a of_o your_o own_o insufficiency_n by_o any_o worth_n or_o merit_n in_o your_o own_o self_n to_o satisfy_v for_o the_o sin_n or_o deliver_v from_o the_o curse_n whereof_o you_o be_v guilty_a and_o with_o the_o which_o you_o be_v attend_v whilst_o you_o be_v in_o this_o condition_n 5_o in_o be_v bring_v to_o see_v at_o what_o a_o infinite_a distance_n you_o stand_v from_o god_n in_o this_o estate_n and_o consequent_o to_o see_v how_o far_o you_o be_v one_a from_o reconciliation_n with_o god_n and_o 2_o of_o the_o certainty_n of_o your_o damnation_n if_o you_o be_v not_o reconcile_v unto_o god_n second_o a_o second_o mark_n be_v this_o if_o christ_n have_v call_v you_o to_o himself_o out_o of_o darkness_n into_o his_o most_o glorious_a light_n then_o as_o he_o have_v let_v you_o see_v a_o insufficiency_n in_o yourselves_o to_o save_v yourselves_o so_o he_o have_v let_v you_o see_v a_o all-sufficiency_n in_o himself_o whereby_o you_o be_v bring_v to_o understand_v that_o though_o you_o be_v whole_o lose_v in_o yourselves_o yet_o that_o there_o be_v a_o full_a and_o absolute_a possibility_n of_o your_o be_v both_o redeem_v and_o save_v in_o and_o by_o jesus_n christ_n so_o that_o despair_v in_o the_o first_o place_n of_o all_o power_n peace_n and_o safety_n without_o christ_n you_o may_v be_v bring_v whole_o and_o alone_o to_o confide_v in_o christ_n for_o the_o same_o and_o this_o be_v a_o sure_a and_o most_o happy_a condition_n and_o i_o beseech_v you_o be_v serious_a in_o the_o examination_n of_o it_o and_o last_o the_o three_o and_o last_o mark_n be_v this_o if_o christ_n have_v call_v you_o home_o to_o himself_o as_o aforesaid_a then_o be_v yourselves_o become_v a_o burden_n to_o yourselves_o and_o you_o find_v your_o great_a enemy_n to_o be_v they_o of_o your_o own_o house_n which_o make_v you_o call_v and_o cry_v day_n and_o hour_n unto_o the_o lord_n your_o god_n to_o help_v uphold_v and_o strengthen_v you_o against_o self_n and_o all_o its_o assistant_n that_o so_o be_v free_v from_o the_o same_o you_o may_v be_v give_v up_o whole_o to_o christ_n jesus_n both_o in_o faith_n and_o practice_n which_o be_v a_o condition_n most_o desirable_a to_o all_o true_a christian_n though_o god_n know_v too_o many_o professer_n at_o this_o day_n be_v stranger_n to_o the_o same_o second_o a_o second_o thing_n which_o i_o will_v have_v you_o to_o examine_v be_v whether_o this_o young_a lion_n the_o great_a opposer_n of_o christ_n viz._n satan_n be_v destroy_v and_o slay_v yea_o or_o no_o object_n but_o may_v be_v you_o will_v say_v how_o shall_v i_o know_v that_o answ_n if_o this_o young_a lion_n be_v slay_v i_o mean_v if_o satan_n be_v overcome_v in_o and_o upon_o your_o account_n than_o you_o may_v know_v it_o in_o some_o measure_n by_o these_o follow_a thing_n fit_v if_o satan_n be_v thus_o overcome_v than_o you_o be_v make_v sensible_a that_o it_o be_v not_o you_o but_o another_o upon_o your_o account_n that_o do_v thus_o overcome_v he_o even_o christ_n jesus_n and_o so_o consequent_o that_o not_o to_o you_o but_o to_o he_o belong_v all_o the_o glory_n for_o evermore_o second_o if_o satan_n be_v thus_o overcome_v by_o christ_n jesus_n in_o you_o and_o for_o you_o then_o be_v you_o abundant_o trouble_v for_o that_o you_o can_v no_o more_o love_n and_o give_v praise_n to_o christ_n jesus_n for_o the_o same_o for_o belove_a i_o be_o very_o much_o satisfy_v that_o it_o be_v one_o of_o the_o great_a trouble_n that_o a_o true_a child_n of_o god_n meet_v

faith_n to_o lay_v hold_n on_o jesus_n christ_n in_o sincerity_n fear_v not_o but_o it_o shall_v be_v well_o with_o you_o to_o eternity_n and_o in_o your_o turn_n to_o god_n beware_v of_o this_o that_o your_o outward_a appearance_n as_o to_o life_n and_o conversation_n do_v not_o go_v before_o or_o without_o your_o heart_n and_o inward_a inclination_n and_o further_o have_v a_o care_n of_o seek_v after_o god_n in_o another_o way_n than_o he_o himself_o have_v appoint_v consider_v that_o not_o in_o the_o way_n of_o work_n but_o in_o the_o way_n of_o faith_n we_o be_v to_o meet_v with_o live_v and_o walk_v with_o jesus_n christ_n for_o the_o just_a shall_v live_v by_o faith_n and_o pray_v note_v it_o it_o be_v not_o every_o one_o that_o cry_v lord_n lord_n that_o shall_v enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n because_o all_o that_o profess_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n have_v not_o heart_n endue_v with_o sincere_a love_n to_o christ_n and_o i_o must_v tell_v you_o that_o a_o sanctify_a heart_n be_v better_a than_o a_o silver_n tongue_n and_o a_o heart_n full_a of_o grace_n be_v much_o better_a than_o a_o head_n full_a of_o notion_n ard_n certain_a it_o be_v that_o you_o may_v pretend_v to_o be_v god_n servant_n when_o you_o be_v not_o his_o son_n but_o undoubted_o if_o you_o be_v his_o son_n you_o will_v be_v his_o servant_n not_o by_o constraint_n or_o for_o reward_n but_o most_o free_o and_o with_o a_o ready_a mind_n and_o one_o word_n further_o i_o desire_v to_o commend_v to_o you_o and_o i_o desire_v you_o to_o observe_v it_o a_o man_n may_v seem_v a_o christian_n and_o not_o be_v so_o but_o if_o a_o man_n be_v a_o christian_n he_o must_v of_o necessity_n seem_v so_o and_o so_o i_o come_v to_o the_o last_o use_v which_o be_v a_o word_n of_o comfort_n to_o all_o such_o as_o apprehend_v themselves_o to_o live_v in_o the_o land_n of_o the_o philistine_n i_o mean_v afar_o off_o from_o god_n do_v long_o breath_n groan_n pray_v and_o most_o earnest_o desire_v to_o be_v bring_v near_o to_o yea_o and_o whole_o to_o be_v join_v with_o jesus_n christ_n as_o their_o lord_n and_o husband_n and_o to_o all_o such_o i_o will_v say_v fear_v not_o for_o your_o redeemer_n live_v and_o the_o most_o holy_a one_o of_o israel_n will_v be_v your_o refuge_n he_o that_o be_v the_o god_n of_o glory_n and_o that_o inhabit_v eternity_n can_v and_o will_v help_v all_o that_o love_v he_o fear_v he_o trust_v in_o he_o and_o depend_v upon_o he_o obj._n but_o perhaps_o thou_o will_v say_v true_a i_o desire_v yea_o and_o that_o with_o all_o my_o heart_n so_o far_o as_o i_o know_v it_o to_o be_v make_v one_o with_o and_o marry_v unto_o jesus_n christ_n but_o the_o devil_n this_o roar_a lion_n of_o who_o you_o have_v speak_v do_v so_o withstand_v and_o oppose_v i_o herein_o that_o i_o be_o afraid_a that_o what_o i_o desire_v herein_o can_v never_o be_v effect_v sure_o never_o poor_a soul_n be_v so_o tempt_v with_o and_o oppress_v by_o satan_n as_o i_o be_o to_o which_o i_o answer_v poor_a soul_n thou_o feel_v not_o man_n burden_n but_o thy_o own_o neither_o do_v satan_n temptation_n to_o another_o trouble_v thou_o but_o do_v but_o thou_o ask_v another_o in_o thy_o condition_n and_o he_o will_v tell_v thou_o that_o he_o be_v tempt_v even_o by_o satan_n as_o thou_o but_o may_v be_v thou_o will_v say_v but_o i_o think_v there_o be_v none_o in_o such_o a_o condition_n as_o i_o be_o to_o which_o i_o answer_v why_o what_o a_o state_n be_v thou_o in_o well_o perhaps_o thou_o will_v say_v first_o i_o be_o full_a of_o sin_n and_o sinful_a pollution_n and_o so_o consequent_o more_o abominable_a in_o myself_o than_o a_o toad_n so_o that_o when_o i_o come_v before_o christ_n jesus_n to_o beg_v mercy_n and_o acceptance_n alas_o i_o see_v that_o i_o deserve_v none_o and_o beside_o when_o i_o come_v i_o have_v almost_o always_o the_o devil_n to_o bear_v i_o company_n on_o purpose_n to_o prevent_v my_o embrace_v of_o and_o be_v join_v unto_o jesus_n christ_n and_o therefore_o sure_o never_a person_n be_v in_o my_o condition_n to_o which_o i_o answer_v alas_o poor_a soul_n thou_o be_v quite_o mistake_v for_o there_o be_v not_o a_o true_a christian_a but_o be_v in_o the_o same_o condition_n less_o or_o more_o yea_o i_o myself_o can_v tell_v thou_o the_o same_o story_n and_o much_o more_o yea_o and_o that_o by_o woeful_a experience_n but_o however_o for_o thy_o better_a satisfaction_n i_o shall_v commend_v to_o thou_o a_o example_n from_o the_o scripture_n see_v zech._n 3.1_o 2_o 3._o and_o note_v it_o well_o say_v the_o prophet_n there_o he_o speak_v of_o god_n show_v i_o joshua_n the_o high_a priest_n stand_v before_o the_o angel_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o satan_n stand_v at_o his_o right_a hand_n to_o resist_v he_o and_o say_v the_o text_n joshua_n be_v clothe_v with_o filthy_a garment_n and_o stand_v before_o the_o angel_n now_o joshua_n in_o this_o place_n be_v a_o figure_n of_o the_o church_n and_o the_o angel_n of_o christ_n the_o text_n therefore_o teach_v we_o thus_o much_o that_o when_o the_o whole_a church_n in_o general_n or_o any_o member_n in_o particular_a do_v come_v before_o jesus_n christ_n in_o order_n to_o justification_n and_o salvation_n in_o and_o by_o he_o then_z and_z at_o that_o time_n they_o come_v clad_v with_o filthy_a garment_n so_o undeserving_a of_o acceptance_n and_o also_o have_v the_o devil_n to_o bear_v they_o company_n in_o order_n to_o the_o prevent_n of_o their_o either_o join_n with_o or_o confide_v in_o jesus_n christ_n as_o their_o lord_n and_o husband_n according_o as_o thou_o say_v of_o thyself_o so_o thou_o be_v not_o alone_o in_o this_o condition_n but_o pray_v mind_n how_o joshuah_n in_o this_o estate_n be_v free_v rescue_v and_o deliver_v both_o from_o his_o filthy_a garment_n and_o also_o from_o the_o devil_n see_v the_o three_o and_o four_o verse_n christ_n first_o rebuke_v satan_n and_o then_o cause_v joshua_n filthy_a garment_n to_o be_v take_v away_o clothing_n he_o himself_o with_o change_n of_o raiment_n and_o as_o he_o do_v to_o joshua_n so_o will_v he_o do_v to_o thou_o if_o thou_o believe_v but_o in_o he_o but_o perhaps_o thou_o will_v say_v nay_o but_o i_o be_o poor_a barren_a and_o unfruitful_a i_o answer_v even_o so_o do_v all_o god_n people_n judge_v themselves_o to_o be_v they_o be_v cry_v out_o of_o their_o leanness_n daily_o and_o hourly_o and_o think_v with_o and_o of_o themselves_o that_o they_o do_v nothing_o for_o god_n but_o though_o they_o think_v thus_o of_o themselves_o yet_o god_n think_v otherwise_o and_o indeed_o this_o i_o have_v observe_v over_o and_o over_o that_o the_o godly_a have_v still_o such_o low_a thought_n of_o themselves_o and_o be_v base_a in_o their_o own_o eye_n whereas_o the_o wicked_a on_o the_o other_o hand_n be_v proud_a and_o lift_v up_o and_o have_v high_a thought_n of_o themselves_o and_o it_o seem_v by_o our_o saviour_n word_n that_o both_o the_o righteous_a and_o the_o wicked_a will_v have_v the_o same_o thought_n each_o of_o themselves_o at_o the_o judgment-day_n see_v mat._n 25._o from_o 31._o to_o the_o end_n where_o first_o he_o tell_v the_o righteous_a that_o they_o have_v feed_v he_o clothe_v and_o visit_v he_o etc._n etc._n but_o they_o cry_v out_o lord_n when_o do_v we_o so_o and_o so_o alas_o they_o take_v no_o notice_n of_o their_o good_a do_n well_o but_o christ_n do_v oh_o bless_a professor_n it_o be_v to_o be_v fear_v there_o be_v too_o few_o such_o at_o this_o day_n for_o most_o be_v look_v upon_o what_o they_o be_v have_v know_v and_o do_v and_o oh_o this_o spoil_n religion_n puff_v up_o with_o pride_n and_o undo_v the_o soul_n but_o the_o righteous_a cry_n out_o when_o see_v we_o thou_o hungry_a sick_a or_o in_o prison_n and_o do_v these_o thing_n unto_o thou_o but_o now_o mark_v when_o he_o turn_v he_o to_o the_o wicked_a say_v i_o be_v so_o and_o so_o and_o yet_o you_o do_v not_o such_o and_o such_o thing_n unto_o i_o they_o answer_v lord_n when_o see_v we_o thou_o so_o and_o so_o and_o do_v not_o these_o thing_n unto_o thou_o alas_o blind_a soul_n they_o have_v delude_v themselves_o with_o the_o do_v of_o this_o and_o that_o all_o their_o life_n time_n when_o as_o they_o have_v do_v nothing_o in_o god_n account_n forasmuch_o as_o they_o have_v not_o believe_v on_o the_o only_o beget_v son_n of_o god_n for_o not_o do_v but_o believe_v bring_v the_o soul_n to_o jesus_n and_o so_o to_o truth_n and_o holiness_n in_o and_o by_o he_o oh_o that_o professor_n will_v serious_o weigh_v these_o thing_n but_o alas_o few_o do_v but_o however_o when_o the_o lord_n shall_v pour_v forth_o more_o of_o his_o spirit_n

from_o god_n yet_o there_o be_v a_o time_n wherein_o he_o will_v gather_v and_o call_v they_o all_o home_n to_o himself_o there_o be_v a_o time_n in_o which_o samson_n go_v down_o to_o timnath_n to_o take_v this_o daughter_n of_o the_o philistine_n to_o wife_n and_o according_o there_o be_v a_o time_n wherein_o god_n will_v gather_v his_o elect_n from_o the_o four_o wind_n of_o the_o heaven_n there_o be_v a_o time_n for_o every_o one_o of_o god_n jewel_n to_o be_v gather_v into_o his_o treasure_n and_o for_o every_o one_o of_o his_o sheep_n to_o be_v bring_v into_o his_o fold_n though_o belove_v and_o this_o have_v the_o father_n appoint_v eph._n 1.10_o that_o in_o the_o dispensation_n of_o the_o fullness_n of_o time_n he_o may_v gather_v together_o in_o one_o all_o thing_n in_o christ_n both_o which_o be_v in_o heaven_n and_o which_o be_v on_o earth_n even_o in_o he_o and_o belove_v this_o time_n shall_v assure_o come_v upon_o every_o soul_n belong_v to_o god_n the_o lord_n stir_v up_o our_o heart_n to_o look_v for_o it_o for_o except_o we_o be_v convert_v and_o bear_v again_o we_o can_v never_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n a_o uncalled_a state_n be_v therefore_o a_o dreadful_a state_n for_o while_o a_o man_n be_v so_o he_o know_v not_o whether_o he_o belong_v to_o god_n or_o no_o but_o certain_o such_o a_o one_o may_v conclude_v that_o for_o the_o present_a he_o belong_v unto_o the_o devil_n the_o lord_n awaken_v all_o such_o three_o from_o hence_o i_o will_v infer_v that_o god_n must_v condescend_v and_o come_v down_o to_o we_o which_o indeed_o he_o have_v do_v both_o in_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n before_o we_o can_v ascend_v to_o he_o so_o samson_n go_v down_o to_o timnath_n a_o man_n whilst_o in_o nature_n and_o so_o consequent_o dead_a in_o sin_n be_v no_o more_o able_a true_o and_o sincere_o to_o ascend_v up_o to_o god_n either_o in_o affection_n faith_n or_o practice_n than_o a_o stone_n to_o lift_v up_o itself_o into_o the_o air_n or_o a_o bird_n to_o sty_n which_o have_v no_o wing_n what_o can_v the_o dry_a bone_n do_v which_o the_o lord_n say_v be_v the_o house_n of_o israel_n till_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o cry_v out_o with_o david_n psal_n 115._o 1._o not_o unto_o we_o o_o lord_n not_o unto_o we_o but_o unto_o thy_o name_n be_v praise_n and_o with_o paul_n 1_o cor._n 4.7_o what_o have_v we_o that_o we_o have_v not_o receive_v and_o with_o isaiah_n chapter_n 26._o 12._o thou_o o_o lord_n have_v wrought_v all_o our_o work_n in_o we_o but_o many_o professor_n at_o this_o day_n suppose_v a_o possibility_n of_o set_v up_o christ_n too_o high_a and_o of_o lay_v man_n down_o too_o low_a in_o himself_o but_o how_o this_o come_v to_o pass_v i_o can_v never_o yet_o understand_v sure_o i_o be_o there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o both_o possibility_n and_o danger_n of_o set_v up_o man_n and_o his_o righteousness_n too_o high_a and_o thereby_o disesteem_v of_o christ_n and_o his_o precious_a death_n and_o merit_n never_o be_v there_o less_o reason_n to_o cry_v up_o man_n work_n and_o obedience_n i_o mean_v so_o as_o to_o boast_v thereof_o or_o depend_v thereupon_o than_o at_o this_o day_n in_o which_o they_o be_v i_o may_v speak_v it_o with_o sorrow_n so_o little_o practise_v but_o be_v but_o the_o free_a grace_n of_o god_n christ_n jesus_n and_o faith_n in_o he_o due_o exalt_v and_o free_o preach_v in_o life_n and_o power_n it_o will_v i_o think_v be_v the_o only_a way_n true_o and_o without_o hypocrisy_n to_o reform_v man_n life_n and_o to_o work_v their_o heart_n into_o a_o godly_a sorrow_n which_o will_v issue_v in_o it_o true_a and_o evangelical_a repentance_n never_o to_o be_v repent_v of_o but_o there_o be_v so_o much_o legality_n among_o professer_n at_o this_o day_n have_v undoubted_o be_v a_o great_a occasion_n of_o so_o much_o lukewarmness_n in_o the_o world_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n but_o i_o come_v to_o the_o three_o particular_a viz._n to_o mention_v some_o of_o the_o great_a let_n hindrance_n and_o impediment_n which_o do_v most_o interrupt_v this_o bless_a union_n and_o agreement_n betwixt_o christ_n and_o his_o church_n which_o indeed_o be_v many_o but_o time_n will_v but_o permit_v i_o to_o mention_v some_o few_o and_o the_o first_o main_n let_v or_o hindrance_n be_v the_o want_n of_o a_o thorough_a sight_n and_o a_o true_a sense_n of_o the_o miserableness_n of_o the_o condition_n in_o which_o we_o be_v by_o nature_n and_o according_o a_o enjoyment_n of_o rest_n and_o satisfaction_n though_o both_o false_a and_o soul-destructive_a in_o that_o condition_n and_o thus_o much_o even_a nature_n itself_o teach_v that_o no_o man_n will_v seek_v unto_o a_o physician_n for_o a_o cure_n unless_o he_o be_v first_o sensible_a that_o he_o be_v trouble_v with_o such_o a_o distemper_n as_o do_v necessary_o call_v for_o and_o require_v such_o a_o cure_n and_o who_o know_v not_o that_o even_o the_o best_a of_o we_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o ready_a and_o forward_o to_o incline_v to_o and_o seek_v after_o the_o benefit_n and_o cure_n of_o the_o body_n than_o the_o benefit_n and_o cure_n of_o the_o soul_n up_o the_o practice_n of_o physic_n and_o be_v ask_v the_o reason_n why_o he_o return_v this_o answer_n because_o say_v he_o i_o see_v people_n be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o careful_a of_o their_o be_v sensible_a of_o their_o soul_n malady_n and_o distemper_n and_o the_o case_n be_v the_o same_o in_o the_o point_n in_o hand_n for_o the_o main_a reason_n why_o poor_a sinner_n be_v no_o more_o free_a to_o change_v their_o estate_n to_o forsake_v their_o first_o husband_n viz._n the_o devil_n and_o the_o world_n and_o to_o be_v join_v and_o marry_v to_o jesus_n christ_n be_v because_o they_o see_v not_o the_o danger_n and_o misery_n which_o they_o lie_v in_o and_o under_o in_o the_o condition_n in_o which_o they_o be_v a_o second_o let_v or_o hindrance_n in_o this_o matter_n be_v person_n be_v so_o much_o in_o love_n with_o their_o present_a state_n and_o the_o pleasure_n and_o profit_n which_o as_o they_o suppose_v they_o enjoy_v therein_o for_o the_o proof_n of_o this_o see_v that_o forth_o his_o servant_n to_o call_v they_o that_o be_v bid_v to_o the_o wedding_n but_o what_o say_v the_o text_n well_o they_o will_v not_o come_v again_o he_o send_v forth_o other_o servant_n to_o tell_v they_o that_o all_o thing_n be_v ready_a this_o be_v not_o only_o to_o invite_v but_o also_o to_o persuade_v but_o what_o say_v the_o text_n ver._n 5._o well_o they_o do_v not_o only_o refuse_v to_o come_v but_o they_o also_o make_v light_n of_o it_o and_o go_v their_o way_n one_o to_o his_o farm_n and_o another_o to_o his_o merchandise_n alas_o their_o purse_n be_v full_a they_o have_v i_o be_v so_o marry_v to_o jesus_n christ_n or_o no_o answ_n to_o which_o i_o answer_v if_o you_o be_v marry_v to_o jesus_n christ_n than_o it_o will_v appear_v in_o these_o follow_a thing_n ●rt_n you_o will_v have_v a_o high_a esteem_n of_o jesus_n christ_n than_o of_o any_o thing_n else_o whatsoever_o yea_o he_o will_v be_v to_o you_o the_o chief_a among_o ten_o thousand_o even_o altogether_o lovely_a so_o that_o you_o will_v be_v bring_v to_o think_v one_o day_n in_o his_o court_n better_a spend_v than_o a_o thousand_o elsewhere_o second_o you_o will_v think_v every_o hour_n a_o lose_a hour_n that_o be_v not_o spend_v in_o the_o fellowship_n of_o his_o love_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o his_o presence_n yea_o and_o often_o will_v you_o be_v bewail_v yourselves_o that_o you_o have_v any_o thing_n wherein_o she_o do_v not_o enjoy_v her_o husband_n even_o so_o in_o like_a manner_n god_n dear_a child_n be_v not_o content_a with_o any_o thing_n that_o they_o do_v possess_v or_o be_v not_o content_v do_v they_o pray_v read_v or_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n well_o still_o it_o be_v the_o same_o all_o thing_n without_o god_n be_v nothing_o in_o their_o esteem_n four_o if_o to_o jesus_n christ_n than_o be_v thou_o oftentimes_o in_o great_a trouble_n that_o thou_o can_v keep_v no_o more_o faithful_a and_o true_a to_o he_o than_o thou_o do_v yea_o and_o how_o often_o be_v thou_o take_v occasion_n from_o the_o observation_n of_o thy_o own_o weakness_n and_o proneness_n to_o backslide_v from_o god_n to_o detest_v and_o abhor_v thyself_o to_o lay_v thy_o hand_n upon_o thy_o mouth_n to_o admire_v god_n unspeakable_a love_n and_o to_o cry_v out_o with_o the_o church_n in_o the_o lamentation_n ch._n 3.22_o it_o be_v of_o the_o lord_n mercy_n that_o we_o be_v not_o
