subordinate_a to_o the_o holy_a spirit_n guidance_n and_o illumination_n of_o the_o understanding_n but_o by_o way_n of_o emphasis_n he_o must_v have_v these_o epithet_n place_v upon_o the_o scripture_n which_o signify_v write_v viz._n the_o rule_n of_o faith_n and_o life_n which_o yet_o he_o bring_v we_o no_o scripture-proof_n for_o that_o ever_o god_n have_v declare_v it_o so_o to_o be_v much_o less_o the_o word_n of_o life_n the_o judge_n the_o tryer_n of_o spirit_n those_o stream_n which_o make_v glad_a the_o city_n of_o god_n wherein_o he_o may_v as_o well_o plain_o have_v tell_v we_o that_o the_o scripture_n be_v god_n christ_n the_o spirit_n the_o life_n the_o light_n and_o what_o not_o §_o xxiii_o pr._n ibid._n without_o doubt_n it_o be_v a_o false_a light_n in_o any_o quaker_n which_o guide_v he_o to_o say_v that_o the_o scripture_n be_v not_o the_o rule_n of_o life_n without_o the_o light_n within_o to_o guide_v he_o answ_n here_o the_o priest_n render_v the_o scripture_n the_o rule_n of_o life_n without_o the_o light_n within_o to_o guide_v as_o if_o man_n can_v know_v the_o benefit_n of_o the_o scripture_n while_o in_o their_o darkness_n without_o
