when_o all_o man_n may_v warrantable_o and_o certain_o expect_v to_o be_v reward_v or_o punish_v according_a to_o their_o work_n and_o action_n in_o this_o world_n because_o that_o be_v evident_o declare_v by_o a_o strong_a concurrence_n of_o scripture_n testimony_n and_o because_o there_o be_v no_o other_o time_n plain_o declare_v in_o any_o other_o text_n of_o scripture_n when_o man_n may_v warrantable_o expect_v such_o recompense_n after_o their_o departure_n out_o of_o this_o world_n and_o thence_o i_o conceive_v the_o text_n before_o quote_v be_v a_o strong_a objection_n against_o the_o expectation_n of_o reward_n or_o punishment_n be_v give_v to_o the_o soul_n of_o dead_a person_n immediate_o after_o their_o departure_n out_o of_o this_o world_n a_o seven_o objection_n i_o make_v in_o the_o same_o manner_n that_o mr._n w._n have_v put_v his_o seven_o objection_n against_o his_o own_o doctrine_n where_o he_o say_v if_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n past_o their_o trial_n as_o soon_o as_o they_o be_v dead_a what_o need_v any_o other_o day_n of_o judgement_n will_v christ_n try_v man_n after_o sentence_n to_o this_o objection_n mr._n w._n say_v i_o have_v prove_v already_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n can_v be_v kill_v and_o so_o can_v die_v and_o that_o the_o soul_n of_o man_n at_o death_n do_v return_v to_o the_o lord_n and_o other_o thing_n relate_v to_o its_o partial_a judgement_n which_o it_o shall_v receive_v to_o this_o i_o reply_v his_o proof_n of_o the_o soul_n not_o die_v remain_v sub_fw-la judice_fw-la his_o text_n that_o the_o soul_n return_v to_o god_n prove_v not_o its_o go_n before_o he_o for_o judgement_n and_o for_o proof_n of_o his_o partial_a judgement_n he_o have_v produce_v no_o text_n of_o scripture_n at_o all_o nor_o do_v i_o think_v a_o text_n that_o so_o prove_v can_v be_v quote_v out_o of_o the_o bible_n mr._n w._n proceed_v ask_v who_o be_v thou_o that_o reason_v against_o god_n will_v thou_o teach_v god_n how_o he_o shall_v govern_v the_o world_n or_o what_o judgement_n he_o shall_v use_v upon_o man_n it_o be_v enough_o that_o god_n have_v intimate_v his_o will_n there_o shall_v be_v such_o judgement_n and_o we_o be_v humble_o to_o believe_v he_o have_v reason_n for_o his_o so_o do_v although_o our_o shallow_a brain_n can_v comprehend_v it_o to_o this_o i_o reply_v that_o i_o be_o ready_a to_o do_v as_o mr._n w._n direct_v viz._n that_o if_o god_n do_v declare_v to_o we_o his_o mind_n and_o intnet_n to_o have_v divers_a and_o different_a trial_n and_o judgement_n of_o man_n i_o be_o ready_a to_o submit_v to_o the_o belief_n thereof_o although_o i_o be_o not_o able_a to_o apprehend_v the_o congruity_n or_o reason_n thereof_o but_o mr._n w_n answer_n set_v out_o no_o proof_n at_o all_o of_o god_n design_n or_o meaning_n to_o pass_v such_o several_a trial_n and_o judgement_n upon_o man_n as_o he_o suppose_v nor_o do_v his_o whole_a book_n give_v we_o good_a proof_n thereof_o and_o himself_o do_v not_o require_v man_n to_o believe_v that_o god_n proceed_v in_o way_n not_o congruous_a to_o the_o reason_n of_o man_n except_o god_n do_v somewhere_o declare_v that_o he_o do_v or_o will_v do_v so_o whereas_o mr._n w._n have_v not_o otherways_o prove_v god_n will_v so_o to_o do_v then_o from_o his_o own_o exposition_n collection_n inference_n and_o conclusion_n which_o all_o seem_v to_o be_v the_o proper_a fruit_n of_o his_o own_o invention_n upon_o which_o the_o old_a rule_n must_v take_v hold_v posito_fw-la quolibet_fw-la sequitur_fw-la quidlibet_fw-la and_o so_o if_o we_o suffer_v he_o to_o lay_v the_o card_n he_o will_v always_o deal_v they_o to_o his_o own_o advantage_n but_o i_o have_v no_o inclination_n to_o bear_v with_o such_o deal_n and_o therefore_o do_v reject_v his_o answer_n to_o this_o objection_n as_o infirm_a and_o insufficient_a well_o but_o then_o say_v mr._n w._n if_o this_o answer_n will_v not_o satisfy_v you_o i_o doubt_v not_o but_o the_o righteous_a judge_n will_v satisfy_v you_o of_o the_o reason_n of_o that_o great_a day_n notwithstanding_o particular_a judgement_n upon_o man_n and_o the_o spirit_n of_o man_n before_o that_o day_n i_o find_v no_o manner_n of_o prove_v force_n in_o these_o word_n of_o mr._n w_n they_o seem_v rather_o a_o threat_n than_o a_o proof_n and_o a_o product_n rather_o of_o his_o own_o will_n than_o of_o his_o knowledge_n or_o a_o reasonable_a inference_n from_o any_o text_n of_o scripture_n last_o he_o bid_v his_o opposer_n be_v silent_a lest_o god_n reprove_v they_o and_o have_v make_v this_o reply_n to_o his_o answer_n i_o be_o content_a to_o be_v silent_a and_o proceed_v no_o father_n thereupon_o but_o as_o to_o the_o incongruity_n charge_v by_o the_o objection_n upon_o mr._n w_n opinion_n i_o say_v that_o it_o seem_v very_o incongruous_a to_o my_o reason_n that_o god_n shall_v call_v man_n to_o a_o solemn_a trial_n at_o their_o death_n and_o there_o pass_v judgement_n and_o award_v execution_n thereupon_o and_o after_o they_o have_v long_o continue_v in_o this_o condition_n then_o to_o call_v they_o to_o a_o new_a trial_n and_o give_v another_o judgement_n upon_o they_o with_o a_o like_a award_n of_o execution_n on_o as_o before_o this_o seem_v a_o very_a unlikely_a proceed_v of_o god_n towards_o man_n and_o yet_o if_o mr._n w._n or_o any_o of_o his_o partaker_n have_v prove_v or_o can_v prove_v from_o any_o plain_a or_o clear_a text_n or_o text_n of_o scripture_n that_o god_n will_v use_v this_o course_n of_o proceed_v among_o man_n i_o be_o ready_a to_o submit_v my_o own_o reason_n and_o opinion_n thereunto_o but_o not_o to_o the_o many_o word_n or_o conjecture_n which_o mr._n w._n far_o offer_n in_o his_o answer_n to_o this_o objection_n we_o read_v mat._n 25._o our_o lord_n sentence_n at_o the_o last_o judgement_n run_v thus_o come_v you_o bless_v of_o my_o father_n inherit_v the_o kingdom_n prepare_v for_o you_o from_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n depart_v from_o i_o you_o curse_v into_o everlasting_a fire_n prepare_v for_o the_o devil_n and_o his_o angel_n not_o say_v return_v you_o bless_v unto_o the_o happy_a mansion_n of_o heaven_n from_o maintain_v have_v something_o of_o the_o chimerical_a and_o imaginary_a without_o have_v that_o real_a truth_n in_o they_o which_o mr._n w._n and_o his_o party_n endeavour_v to_o maintain_v and_o the_o objection_n before_o make_v against_o they_o seem_v strong_a enough_o to_o shake_v and_o oppose_v their_o pretension_n a_o eight_o objection_n i_o raise_v from_o 1._o cor._n 15.12_o if_o christ_n be_v preach_v that_o he_o rise_v from_o the_o dead_a how_o say_v some_o among_o you_o that_o there_o be_v no_o resurrection_n of_o the_o dead_a but_o if_o there_o be_v no_o resurrection_n of_o the_o dead_a then_o be_v christ_n not_o rise_v and_o if_o christ_n be_v not_o rise_v then_o be_v the_o christian_a religion_n both_o vain_a and_o false_a vers_fw-la 18._o and_o then_o they_o
