this_o world_n it_o be_v say_v that_o hell_n follow_v death_n if_o they_o be_v not_o reconcile_v unto_o god_n but_o live_v and_o die_v in_o their_o sin_n 8._o their_o case_n be_v fearful_a and_o therefore_o be_v it_o a_o just_a hand_n of_o god_n upon_o impenitent_a sinner_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v horrible_o afraid_a of_o that_o sickness_n no_o sin_n nor_o satan_n himself_o be_v so_o the_o joy_n of_o our_o honour_n the_o pleasure_n of_o our_o eye_n and_o the_o desire_n of_o our_o heart_n even_o our_o son_n and_o our_o daughter_n when_o man_n love_v to_o be_v commander_n god_n can_v take_v their_o authority_n from_o they_o if_o they_o stand_v upon_o their_o honour_n and_o reputation_n he_o can_v soon_o make_v it_o wither_v and_o vanish_v if_o the_o delight_n of_o their_o eye_n do_v content_a they_o he_o can_v quick_o remove_v those_o from_o they_o final_o if_o they_o set_v their_o affection_n immoderate_o upon_o their_o child_n and_o lift_v up_o their_o soul_n unto_o pass_v that_o they_o shall_v have_v little_a comfort_n in_o they_o will_v we_o then_o have_v our_o house_n and_o our_o child_n free_a from_o god_n stroke_n and_o in_o particular_a from_o the_o pestilence_n as_o that_o many_o pretend_v that_o they_o be_v more_o careful_a for_o their_o child_n then_o for_o themselves_o then_o let_v we_o never_o commit_v any_o sin_n to_o set_v they_o up_o draw_v we_o to_o more_o speedy_a and_o earnest_a humiliation_n whereas_o if_o we_o be_v pursue_v by_o the_o sword_n of_o man_n we_o shall_v be_v more_o distract_v sometime_o with_o fear_n of_o and_o greese_v for_o the_o enemy_n violence_n sometime_o with_o hope_n either_o of_o mercy_n from_o they_o or_o of_o aid_n from_o other_o all_o which_o do_v either_o utter_o withdraw_v we_o from_o or_o much_o hinder_v we_o in_o the_o work_n of_o humiliation_n second_o in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o pestilence_n the_o adversary_n of_o religion_n have_v not_o such_o matter_n of_o insultation_n as_o when_o war_n be_v hot_a in_o the_o land_n for_o than_o they_o will_v triumph_v in_o this_o or_o the_o like_a manner_n now_o these_o forward_a man_n shall_v pay_v for_o it_o down_o they_o shall_v all_o the_o sort_n of_o they_o they_o be_v wont_a to_o brag_v that_o god_n will_v be_v their_o buckler_n and_o their_o shield_n their_o refuge_n and_o their_o strong_a tower_n of_o defence_n but_o what_o of_o peace_n &_o joy_n in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n know_v that_o if_o they_o die_v they_o shall_v go_v from_o earth_n to_o heaven_n from_o a_o place_n of_o misery_n to_o a_o palace_n of_o glory_n three_o this_o be_v a_o marvelous_a great_a mercy_n that_o there_o do_v still_o remain_v the_o face_n of_o a_o church_n that_o the_o gospel_n be_v preach_v the_o sacrament_n administer_v &_o the_o profession_n of_o the_o truth_n open_o maintain_v whereas_o if_o there_o be_v a_o foreign_a invasion_n or_o a_o civil_a mutiny_n &_o insurrection_n the_o usual_a course_n of_o the_o minsterie_n and_o of_o the_o exercise_n of_o religion_n will_v be_v stop_v which_o now_o be_v not_o only_o tolerate_v but_o command_v beside_o now_o there_o be_v a_o continuance_n of_o the_o state_n of_o the_o commonwealth_n whereas_o when_o the_o sword_n rage_v in_o a_o land_n 5._o the_o face_n of_o the_o honourable_a be_v not_o respect_v the_o magistrate_n authority_n be_v reckon_v a_o matter_n of_o nothing_o and_o all_o law_n must_v give_v place_n to_o the_o will_n of_o violent_a man_n again_o in_o the_o time_n of_o war_n there_o be_v a_o utter_a subversion_n of_o all_o mean_n of_o maintenance_n and_o comfort_n we_o can_v enjoy_v our_o possession_n nor_o dwell_v in_o our_o house_n nor_o reap_v the_o fruit_n of_o our_o labour_n which_o now_o through_o god_n mercy_n be_v far_o otherwise_o and_o as_o for_o our_o estate_n so_o even_o for_o our_o life_n and_o for_o our_o soul_n the_o case_n be_v better_a with_o we_o in_o the_o time_n of_o pestilence_n then_o in_o the_o time_n of_o war_n for_o then_o all_o our_o family_n wife_n child_n servant_n and_o all_o may_v be_v barbarous_o slay_v or_o worse_o use_v before_o our_o eye_n or_o we_o before_o they_o and_o if_o not_o so_o yet_o they_o must_v be_v leave_v to_o idolater_n and_o in_o danger_n to_o be_v vassal_n of_o sin_n and_o satan_n but_o now_o if_o death_n come_v it_o be_v nothing_o so_o lamentable_a if_o life_n be_v grant_v it_o be_v nothing_o so_o dangerous_a for_o though_o we_o be_v take_v away_o yet_o our_o friend_n shall_v remain_v with_o the_o saint_n &_o servant_n of_o god_n and_o they_o that_o have_v be_v our_o christian_a friend_n will_v be_v they_o at_o least_o there_o be_v very_o great_a hope_n of_o their_o happiness_n both_o here_o and_o hereafter_o in_o regard_n of_o that_o liberty_n of_o the_o gospel_n sure_o conclude_v that_o no_o place_n can_v shelter_v a_o man_n from_o misery_n if_o sin_n be_v harbour_v and_o entertain_v in_o his_o heart_n verse_n 16._o it_o be_v sufficient_a hold_v thy_o hand_n they_o mourn_v for_o the_o decay_n of_o the_o righteous_a for_o when_o multitude_n of_o all_o nation_n and_o of_o all_o sort_n of_o people_n do_v know_v the_o way_n of_o god_n and_o praise_v the_o name_n of_o god_n then_o as_o the_o prophet_n say_v the_o earth_n shall_v bring_v forth_o her_o increase_n 5._o and_o god_n even_o our_o god_n shall_v bless_v us._n if_o there_o be_v but_o ten_o righteous_a man_n and_o woman_n in_o a_o city_n or_o some_o few_o in_o a_o whole_a country_n all_o the_o rest_n shall_v speed_v the_o better_a for_o their_o sake_n how_o much_o more_o than_o if_o
