acknowledge_v of_o he_o and_o second_v by_o grace_n set_v up_o his_o sovereignty_n in_o our_o soul_n for_o it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o death_n in_o itself_o that_o affect_v we_o because_o it_o be_v common_a as_o the_o remarkablenes_n of_o it_o one_o way_n or_o other_o which_o leave_v a_o impression_n upon_o we_o and_o raise_v our_o sluggish_a mind_n to_o consider_v from_o what_o hand_n such_o a_o blow_n shall_v come_v who_o except_o some_o few_o relation_n think_v themselves_o concern_v at_o the_o death_n of_o weak_a infant_n and_o sickly_a person_n or_o age_a but_o when_o the_o young_a be_v take_v away_o in_o the_o flower_n of_o their_o age_n or_o the_o strong_a that_o be_v most_o likely_a to_o live_v be_v dead_a on_o a_o sudden_a and_o lay_v in_o the_o dust_n or_o the_o great_a and_o rich_a that_o have_v all_o mean_v possible_a to_o preserve_v they_o be_v cut_v down_o like_o the_o grass_n and_o wither_v as_o the_o green_a herb_n these_o be_v so_o many_o sensible_a demonstration_n to_o convince_v we_o that_o our_o time_n be_v not_o in_o the_o hand_n of_o second_o cause_n or_o mere_o casual_a and_o fortuitous_a see_v these_o be_v so_o frequent_a but_o only_o in_o god_n who_o dispose_v of_o they_o as_o he_o please_v time_n indeed_o strange_o wear_v out_o the_o present_a sense_n we_o have_v of_o these_o thing_n but_o god_n be_v please_v so_o often_o to_o give_v we_o such_o pregnant_a example_n hereof_o as_o if_o we_o due_o regard_v they_o be_v not_o only_o sufficient_a to_o renew_v the_o former_a impression_n upon_o we_o but_o afford_v we_o strong_a conviction_n of_o this_o truth_n this_o improvement_n of_o such_o providence_n will_v bring_v we_o as_o moses_n desire_v the_o israelite_n to_o acknowledge_v god_n as_o the_o cause_n of_o our_o life_n and_o length_n of_o our_o day_n who_o give_v they_o at_o his_o pleasure_n and_o for_o his_o pleasure_n continue_v they_o that_o order_n they_o as_o he_o please_v and_o cut_v they_o off_o when_o he_o please_v and_o to_o depend_v upon_o he_o continual_o for_o they_o and_o with_o holy_a job_n not_o to_o charge_n god_n foolish_o but_o whether_o he_o give_v continues_z or_o take_v away_o still_o to_o frame_n and_o remember_v they_o be_v dust_n tho'_o the_o wicked_a that_o will_v not_o be_v instruct_v be_v in_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n as_o a_o judge_n who_o sentence_n and_o execution_n they_o shall_v not_o escape_v consider_v that_o if_o our_o time_n be_v in_o satan_n or_o our_o enemy_n hand_n they_o will_v swallow_v we_o up_o quick_a or_o in_o our_o friend_n power_n they_o will_v not_o suffer_v we_o to_o depart_v and_o be_v with_o christ_n which_o be_v far_o better_a or_o in_o our_o own_o we_o shall_v in_o our_o discontent_n be_v weary_a of_o they_o and_o ready_a to_o cry_v out_o as_o moses_n elijah_n job_n jeremiah_n and_o jonah_n have_v do_v now_o lord_n take_v away_o my_o life_n rather_o than_o patient_o wait_v his_o pleasure_n iii_o that_o sin_n may_v be_v embitter_v and_o mercy_n embrace_v and_o particular_o our_o first_o apostasy_n from_o god_n and_o our_o saviour_n and_o the_o mean_n of_o recovery_n for_o as_o god_n sentence_a man_n to_o bodily_a penalty_n after_o for_o these_o end_n conjoint_o the_o alwise_a god_n know_v what_o prodigious_a blindness_n of_o mind_n and_o security_n of_o heart_n follow_v sin_n in_o we_o be_v therefore_o please_v for_o our_o awaken_n to_o use_v outward_a punishment_n ordinary_o these_o be_v only_o visible_a and_o so_o fit_a to_o have_v influence_n general_o on_o all_o man_n and_o be_v also_o more_o fear_v by_o the_o secure_a world_n than_o those_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a judgement_n on_o the_o soul_n so_o that_o the_o very_a heathen_a who_o be_v through_o their_o forefather_n separate_v from_o the_o church_n be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o cause_n and_o manner_n of_o the_o entrance_n of_o these_o punishment_n by_o the_o fall_n and_o much_o more_o of_o christ_n and_o so_o account_v death_n because_o common_a to_o all_o a_o debt_n to_o nature_n and_o the_o grievous_a accident_n thereof_o punishment_n only_o for_o actual_a offence_n yet_o by_o these_o external_a judgement_n they_o may_v and_o shall_v be_v bring_v and_o when_o extraordinary_a and_o general_a often_o be_v to_o fear_v god_n justice_n and_o fly_v to_o his_o mercy_n in_o the_o general_n though_o they_o can_v make_v that_o especial_a use_n
