most_o joyful_a servant_n and_o professor_n of_o christ_n so_o if_o we_o frequent_o read_v the_o word_n and_o meditate_v therein_o though_o therein_o we_o meet_v with_o many_o thing_n we_o understand_v not_o the_o lord_n in_o his_o good_a time_n will_v send_v some_o philip_n that_o shall_v join_v himself_o unto_o we_o some_o godly_a and_o faithful_a pastor_n and_o minister_n that_o although_o the_o prophet_n esay_n have_v the_o same_o place_n and_o be_v the_o same_o in_o respect_n of_o other_o prophet_n as_o saint_n john_n be_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o other_o evangelist_n like_o a_o eagle_n that_o fly_v a_o high_a pitch_n and_o soar_v and_o perch_v above_o the_o other_o bird_n that_o be_v be_v full_a of_o high_a and_o heavenly_a mystery_n which_o the_o eye_n of_o reason_n &_o natural_a understanding_n can_v pierce_v or_o attain_v unto_o yet_o be_v there_o many_o thing_n both_o in_o esay_n and_o so_o also_o in_o the_o whole_a body_n and_o all_o the_o several_a part_n of_o the_o holy_a scripture_n that_o be_v plain_a and_o easy_a to_o be_v understand_v in_o which_o be_v contain_v and_o express_v the_o power_n the_o wisdom_n the_o goodness_n of_o god_n together_o with_o that_o duty_n and_o obedience_n that_o fear_n and_o reverence_n which_o all_o creature_n do_v owe_v and_o aught_o to_o perform_v to_o his_o most_o heavenly_a majesty_n as_o also_o such_o thing_n as_o invite_v man_n to_o faith_n and_o exhort_v to_o holiness_n of_o life_n and_o these_o thing_n and_o the_o like_a this_o eunuch_n do_v without_o doubt_n both_o often_o read_v and_o well_o understand_v howsoever_o he_o do_v most_o free_o &_o ingenuous_o confess_v that_o he_o can_v not_o understand_v that_o place_n or_o passage_n of_o the_o prophet_n which_o he_o then_o read_v which_o be_v prophetical_o and_o mystical_o deliver_v concern_v the_o person_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o salvation_n of_o mankind_n by_o his_o death_n and_o passion_n which_o be_v indeed_o a_o mystery_n which_o no_o eye_n but_o the_o eye_n of_o faith_n can_v pierce_v and_o look_v into_o and_o from_o hence_o we_o may_v learn_v this_o point_n of_o christian_a wisdom_n not_o to_o neglect_v may_v many_o time_n with_o comfort_n understand_v the_o same_o chrysostome_n upon_o the_o 16._o of_o luke_n have_v this_o say_n etiamsi_fw-la non_fw-la intelligas_fw-la illic_fw-la recondita_fw-la have_v the_o balm_n of_o gilead_n wherewith_o the_o sore_n and_o wound_n of_o god_n people_n shall_v be_v cure_v and_o heal_v they_o have_v or_o shall_v have_v in_o store_n vinum_fw-la up_o a_o just_a complaint_n and_o lament_v the_o state_n of_o these_o time_n wherein_o there_o be_v so_o little_a or_o almost_o no_o use_n at_o all_o of_o conference_n either_o in_o secular_a learning_n wherein_o man_n be_v loath_a to_o confer_v with_o such_o as_o be_v more_o learned_a than_o themselves_o lest_o they_o shall_v bewray_v their_o own_o ignorance_n or_o in_o point_n of_o faith_n and_o case_n of_o conscience_n with_o god_n minister_n lest_o they_o shall_v thereby_o discover_v to_o they_o their_o error_n and_o imperfection_n but_o this_o complaint_n may_v soon_o be_v make_v than_o it_o can_v be_v remedy_v the_o second_o thing_n i_o note_v in_o these_o late_a word_n be_v philip_n readiness_n and_o his_o godly_a discretion_n his_o readiness_n in_o that_o he_o
